PRINCE FISH (1)
"Do you know him?" Stalane asked when she saw the shocked reaction from Syton.
She thought it was weird since he gave such reaction but Syton shook his head as an answer.
Stalane was confused for a second. But she coughed to dismiss the question that's running through her head. If Syton said he didn't know Kaleigh then it must be true.
"Anyway, this is Kaleigh. I think I've already mentioned him to you once before." Stalane said as she introduced Kaleigh to Syton.
Blaze and Kerin was also trying to eavesdrop while they were busy fishing. Stalane noticed that the two was curious, so she proceed to introduce Kaleigh to them.
"You two, come over here" Stalane called them out.
The two nervously went forward.
"Kaleigh, this is Blaze and Kerin. Blaze and Kerin, this is Kaleigh. He is a strong assassin, so Kerin if you want to learn from him you could ask him now" Stalane said.
Before Kerin could even react, Kaleigh immediately rejected her idea.
"I don't just teach anyone, Stalane" he said.
Stalane just pretended she didn't hear anything.
"So that's Kaleigh? But what is he doing here?" Syton asked as he finally completely calm down after he heard the guy's name.
According to Stalane story before, Kaleigh gave such impression to Syton immediately. Maybe, that's the reason why he reacted that way earlier.
"He knows how to catch the prince fish" Stalane said.
"You're gonna vouch for him then?" Syton tried to confirm it to Stalane if Kaleigh's joining to their party would be a good idea.
Stalane looked at where Kaleigh was standing. He was patiently waiting for Stalane's answer, as if expecting her to say "yes".
Unfortunately for him, she did otherwise.
"No. He should vouch for himself since he suggested it himself earlier" Stalane firmly said as she nonchalantly walked pass Syton to get to where the lake were.
Kaleigh was left dumbfounded by Stalane's answer. Nevertheless, he somehow expected her to say such things as well.
"There's 2 types of prince fish. A prince fish that is difficult to catch, and a prince fish that is easy to catch" Kaleigh immediately started to explain it to Syton.
Kaleigh thought that he should convince Syton and gain his trust first.
Stalane noticed the strategy that Kaleigh was doing. She thought that Kaleigh would easily convince Syton since he have the easy-going personality and was a friendly type person. But Stalane was surprised on how Syton reacted.
"You... Attacked Stalane when you first met her, didn't you?" Syton asked coldly, ignoring the information Kaleigh gave.
Kaleigh could feel how some of his hair suddenly stood up on the way Syton talked. He knew that Syton was now threatening him.
"I was looking for a person, that's why I did that. I need confirmation" Kaleigh straightly answered.
Syton nodded. "She did mentioned that"
Syton gave a small smirk as he positioned himself again as if unsheathing his sword. "So, why don't you try to fight me as well?"
Stalane was shocked at Syton's sudden provocation towards Kaleigh. Is he out of his mind?! Kaleigh is obviously out of their league! He is a much high-ranking braver than them and was much more stronger than them!
If they fought, it would be a one sided battle! Syton would obviously die!
Stalane was about to stop Syton but Kaleigh immediately gave an answer.
"I'm sorry. I can't do that, right now. I can't fight you with this state. I think it would be more fair if you become more stronger. But if you want to battle me that badly, I'd like to suggest another way. It will be something that is fair for the both of us, with the way you are I think you might even have a chance to defeat me." Kaleigh told Syton.
Syton got interested by what he was suggesting, so he stood up properly.
It is true that ever since Stalane told Syton how strong Kaleigh was, he was so interested on fighting against him. But Syton also knows that he would end up like how Kaleigh beat Stalane.
That is why when Kaleigh said that it will be a fair match between them, he suddenly got curious on what it was.
"Let's see which one of us will get a prince fish faster" Kaleigh suggested.
Stalane also got interested as they began talking about the prince fish. She was relieved to hear that they'll be not fighting each other but will fight in another way.
"What do you mean?" Syton asked.
Kaleigh gave a small smile, when he got Syton's attention and interest. "I told you earlier. There are two types of prince fish. I don't know what kind of prince fish you guys are looking for, but the hardest one to catch is the rarest one. It is found under the lake"
"Obviously?" Stalane sarcastically muttered.
Kaleigh heard her sarcastic remark. So, he rephrased his words. "What I mean is, you must dive under it yourself to get it."
"I see. But I think I'm in the disadvantage since I don't know what a prince fish looks like and how I'm supposed to get it?" Syton said.
Kaleigh then answered : "That's why, I'll demonstrate it to you first. If it's other bravers, it will be hard to catch but if it's you it'll be a simple task. So, what do you say?"
When Syton heard that, he can't help but to smile in excitement. "Let's do that, then"
However, Stalane was still worried. Kaleigh noticed it so he added another rule.
"You could even ask those two to help you, Blaze and Kerin was it? On the other hand, I'll take Stalane as part of my team. While we are on our way to catch the fish she could sabotage me or give advices to you later on. You could think of it as if you're planting a spy on me. Of course, you could also think of it as if I'm holding a hostage" Kaleigh added.
Syton furrowed his brows. Even Stalane didn't liked the idea. But when Syton looked back where Stalane was standing, he can't help but imagine how fun it would actually be.
Kaleigh was giving him such advantages. Syton was also curious at what Stalane decision will be later on when the competition began.
So he answered, "Sure"
