ARE YOU A CHEF?! (1)
Stalane finally understood what was going on. Even Kaleigh was somehow amazed by how Syton planned that out. But Kaleigh already expected this much.
"They used their advantage of having a member." Kaleigh mumbled to himself. Stalane heard this and she nodded in agreement.
"Indeed. They purposely made a chaos from three different sides, so that the fish will be alert on their presence and what they were doing. Although the fish could just escape by swimming to the south, it decided to just hide itself, probably somewhere on the center since it is the safest place where those pillars couldn't reach. Since the prince fish is more clever than the other fishes, it was also aware that he could not get out even if it swam to the south, since that place still have those annoying pillars. Thus the fish waited for the three to leave the center and go to the south, where Syton and the others have not searched yet. The fish took advantage of this and went to the direction where those three have been, since it was already aware that the pillars are already destroyed. However, it was not aware that Syton, Blaze and Kerin already laid down a trap from those three direction. The fish has nowhere to escape from the beginning. Syton just waited the fish to get caught on its own." Stalane explained Syton's plan.
She checked the time and noticed that Syton's team was a whole lot faster than them. Stalane smiled in relief.
"Let's go and meet with them" Kaleigh said as he swum outside of their hiding spot. Stalane silently followed him, wondering what he is thinking now that he have lost to Syton.
---
Ever since, Syton won he kept bragging how smart and genius he was to think such a plan. Kaleigh and Stalane congratulate him once, but after that he won't stop grinning.
When Stalane told him to stop being too proud, Syton would tease her by saying "Why? Do you hate it so much that Kaleigh lost? Is that why you didn't even helped us?"
Stalane, on the other hand, would just roll her eyes and answered him something along these lines : "Didn't you told me that you don't need any advice from me? I'm telling you to stop smiling too much since you look ugly"
However, Syton still rebutted. "I'm still handsome than Kaleigh though. Sooner or later, I'd be much more stronger than him"
"Why do you even want to compete with him?" Stalane mumbled.
"What?" Syton asked since he couldn't hear what Stalane said.
Stalane ignored him and continued swimming until they finally got out of the water. They began to light a fire, since it was already night time when they got out of the lake.
Stalane ordered Kerin and Blaze to find some food for them to eat, while she set up the fire.
After Syton won against Kaleigh, he become more friendlier to him. Syton began to interview him, and Kaleigh would answer them as short as possible. Of course, Syton noticed this. With this, he have a short theory in mind.
So he tried to confirm it with Kaleigh.
"You... don't want me to find out who you really are"
Kaleigh stopped from his track. Stalane, Blaze and Kerin heard Syton's words so they got curious what was going on. The three of them turned their head towards Syton and Kaleigh.
Kaleigh was surprised by Syton's words, he doesn't know how to response. It was true that he was being careful in answering Syton's questions earlier, but he haven't realized that he was actually being too obvious.
"I'm just wondering, if you don't want me to pry on your business then why do you still answer my questions? You could've just ignored me and tell me to not ask anymore" Syton innocently asked.
Kaleigh's eye widened a bit but he quickly recovered his stance. He sighed.
"Then, allow me to not answer that last question of yours" Kaleigh took Syton's advice, since he couldn't answer that unless he is will be willing to tell him the whole story of who he is. Just as how Kaleigh reminded himself all this time, now is not the right time for those two to know.
Syton got startled by Kaleigh's response for a second, before he laugh it off. Syton just shrugged.
"Okay, man. I'm willing to listen to whatever you want to say whenever you're ready. It seems like you have something to tell to me, but you're having a rough time in figuring out how. I don't even have any idea what it might be, since we just clearly met today. Well, unless its..." Syton stopped his sentence when he realized something.
Kaleigh was confused but also got nervous when Syton stopped talking midway. He watched how Syton walked to him closer. Syton signaled Kaleigh to lend out his ears closer to him.
"Is it about her?" Syton whispered in Kaleigh's ear.
"Her?"
Syton sighed on how Kaleigh is so slow in understanding what he meant.
"I mean, is it about Stalane?" He repeated the question.
Syton waited for Kaleigh's response, but he noticed that Kaleigh seemed to got stunned at what he said. Syton smiled meaningfully.
He held his chin while looking at his partner, Stalane. "So, its about her huh?" Syton said with his playful voice.
That's when Kaleigh realized that Syton seemed to be misunderstanding something, but even so he didn't bother to correct him.
"By the way, you told us that there's another type of prince fish right? What is it?" Syton changed the topic and become more serious. He knows that they have no time to waste since they only have a couple of days left. They still have one more gem to find.
Kaleigh nodded. "You've already caught some fish, right?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Then, it'll be much more easier. Just cook those fish and they'll be considered as a prince fish already."
Syton left dumbfounded at what Kaleigh said. They've been fishing for days there and all they have to do was cook it?!
