Chapter 49 - Forlorn Ikewa (1)

FORLORN IKEWA (1)

As soon as Syton and Stalane stepped inside the Forlorn Ikewa, both of them got a chills down their spine. Syton was grinning from ear to ear as his eyes saw the sight of multiple deras waiting on them on the entrance and some flying deras surrounding them. It was also noticeable on Stalane's eyes the glint of a hunter looking on their possible preys.

"This next two days will be surely gonna be exciting!" Syton said as he brought out his sword. He immediately run towards the deras and sliced them all.

Stalane resist the temptation of fighting the deras in front of them, and let Syton deal with them. She just focused on analyzing the map that Bell gave them. They didn't have enough time to play around with dera. They could only move forward for this next two days.

"Syton, follow me! It's this way!" Stalane said as she run towards their east.

Syton finished killing the last dera before following Stalane.

Stalane used her enhanced eyesight to look out for some deras so they could avoid unnecessary battles. She sometimes used her bow to kill them if they're in their way. Syton supported Stalane's back as he was following her.

"Just what kind of place are we looking for?" Syton asked.

"A rest house"

"Rest house?"

Stalane didn't respond to Syton's question anymore since she as well was unsure. She just thought that it's a rest house since it looked like one on the map.

A moment later, Syton's eyes widened went wide when something wrapped around his waist and was pulling him.

"What the?!"

He immediately sliced the unknown thing on his waist using his sword. When he looked behind him where it came from, he just realized that it was actually a tongue from a big looking frog.

"Oi! That's disgusting!" he complained.

Syton jumped as high as the frog so he could slice his face. It took him 3 strikes before successfully killing it.

"Syton, what are you doing?! Hurry up!" Stalane said as she watched how Syton kicking the dead frog's face.

Both of them moved forward, not until a rank 5D dera showed up. Syton grinned in anticipation. He was about to attack the dera but Stalane hold his hand as she pulled him with her.

Stalane jumped in a nearby tree with Syton on her hand.

He looked at her confusingly, and Stalane just gave him a glare.

"Remember that we don't have time? That dera is clearly stronger than the previous dera we've encountered. You can leisurely kill some dera once we finished the quest!" Stalane reminded him.

Syton pouted. "Tch."

Stalane raised her bow and aimed it to the 5D dera. She made use of her arrows to distract and confuse it. She then turned to Syton and looked at him trying to indicate that they should move while the dera is confused.

After Stalane scolded Syton earlier, the two were now completely focused on reaching the area where the last gem is located. With Stalane's directions as Syton protects her from the front, and maybe sometimes on her back, they successfully avoided in confronting higher rank deras and safely arrived at the abandoned house.

Both of them went inside cautiously. But it didn't let them get away from being surprised when a large barrier suddenly enveloped the whole house after they enter.

"Oho? Is this the final stage for this domain?" Syton asked as he grips his sword in excitement.

Stalane ignored him. She lead the way by stepping forward, not minding that they were already trapped.

Few minutes later, a multiple deras appeared one by one.

Stalane knew that they won't be able to avoid fighting them. The only solution is to kill them as soon as possible before they ran out of time.

Syton seemed to read her mind. He swiftly pass through and cuts all the deras on their way. The remaining deras that were not killed by Syton was already got shot by Stalane's arrows.

At first, they're the one dominating them. However, as time passes by, they noticed that deras keeps coming as if they're not getting lesser. In fact, it seemed the complete opposite of it. Not only that, Syton also noticed that he could no longer see the trace of his partner.

They got separated!

Syton tried to contact Stalane using the system, but for unknown reason he couldn't call her.

"Damn it!" Syton cussed as he lost his composure after slicing one dera.

"You better be safe, Stalane." He whispered before running towards the hallway. Syton's goal in mind was to reach where the final boss is and quickly finish all of this, so he could finally go look where Stalane is.

Although, Syton knows that Stalane have a high chance of being safe since she's already that strong, he still can't get rid of the feeling of being worried about her.

When another dera appeared before him, Syton's eyes glint. In the dera's point of view, Syton suddenly disappeared in a blink of an eye. The dera didn't even realized that he had already been cut and Syton have already ran passed through him.

Syton ran as he lets his feet guide him. He have noticed ever since earlier that something was amiss with the current situation. He have not yet figured out what it was, but what he is sure of was that he have to defeat someone.

In a certain room of that abandoned rest house, someone could be seen grinning as he watched how Syton desperately running in circle.

It shook it's head as it watched how Syton took a wrong turn, "You went in the wrong direction, darling."

It gave a creepy laugh after the deras surrounding Syton was cut by him one after the another. "Yes, kill all of them. Then come to me. I'm patiently waiting for your arrival, my sweet next darling."

It then turned to the guy who's leisurely watching Syton on the hologram as if he was not worried at all.

"What?" The creepy voice asked to the guy.

The guy turned his face where the creature was. His handsome looking face could be seen as the creature drool over him.

"Why are you here, Keigh?" The creature asked while blushing, trying to hide it's admiration to the mentioned guy.
