Chapter 44 - Prince Fish (4)

PRINCE FISH (4)

Stalane was quite disappointed at the appearance of the prince fish. She was looking forward what it looks like, but it was actually the same like the other fishes they've caught. The only difference is that it has a little crown on top of its head.

"This...is the prince fish?" she asked for confirmation.

"Isn't he looked like one?"

Stalane doesn't know if he was joking or was being serious. So she changed the question instead.

"Is that one difficult to catch?"

Kaleigh just smirked. One second later, the fish is already in his hands.

"Looking for it is what makes it difficult to catch. This prince fish is just like the other fishes. It doesn't even know how to attack anyone. It is just a little bit smarter than the others"

---

Syton and the others saw how quick Kaleigh caught the fish and how they easily teleported from one place to another. That just confirmed how Kaleigh is really out of their league. Nevertheless, Syton still looks forward on defeating him in this competition between the two of them. It excites him more.

Minutes later, Stalane contacted Syton through telepathy.

"Kaleigh is just trying to confirm if there is still some prince fish around. He said, give him 10 minutes before you guys start."

"Sure. We'll talk about our plan while you guys do your thing." Syton replied.

"Do you have any questions?" Stalane asked if Syton need any help from her since Kaleigh gave her a permission to help them.

"Hmm..." Syton hummed, trying to think if there's anything he wanted to ask.

He then suddenly remembered something from what he saw earlier, so an idea popped into his head. He smiled mischievously.

"Did you liked the touch of his hands? Is it soft?" he teased.

A notification rang in Syton's head which told him that the call was ended. Syton burst to laughter. He could imagine how adorable Stalane's face would look like after she got teased.

"You two, come here. Let's discuss how we will defeat Kaleigh" Syton called out Kerin and Blaze. He then began to reveal his ideas to them.

On the other hand, Stalane silently wait on Kaleigh, who was busy focusing on the other side. She watched him as he teleports out then come back after a few seconds.

Even though she basically didn't do anything, it actually tired her, especially by simply watching Kaleigh and do absolutely nothing. It bored the hell out of her.

Then, ten minutes have finally passed.

Stalane got the thumbs up from Kaleigh to contact Syton and tell them they could start. Kaleigh also set up the card, "the third's eye", where they could watch Syton and the others. This device wouldn't be able to function if the person they're supposed to watch didn't give permission by using the partnered card called "the mc's stage".

"Hey" Stalane greeted Syton when she contacted him through telepathy.

"Kaleigh said, you may start. He said that there's two more prince fish around the area, so we didn't let go the prince fish we've caught. Also, make sure to use the other card that Kaleigh gave to you so we would be able to watch you using the 'the third's eye' card." she continued.

The person on the other line, Syton, grinned. "Okay, we'll finish this half of the time you've accumulated." he said confidently.

Stalane doesn't like how Syton was still able to be smug at this moment, thus she just rolled her eyes. Nevertheless, deep inside her, she still hoped that he does win.

"Just do your best" she said in a nonchalant manner.

Stalane did her best to sound unconcerned, however Syton still was flattered about it.

Just then, Kaleigh finished setting up the 'the third's eye'. Stalane was able to see how Syton grin from ear to ear.

"I will" Syton replied before he ended that call.

With those two words, it somehow reassured her for some reasons. But that doesn't mean that she doesn't worry anymore.

Syton, Blaze and Kerin swam towards the unfinished castle. After they enter it, the three of them went into different directions.

Blaze brought out his sword then tried to destroy the pillar which emits magic that was attacking him. Unfortunately, he was not able to destroy it with one slash unlike how Kaleigh easily destroyed them earlier.

Blaze make an effort to avoid getting hit by the pillar. Whenever he found his chance, he'll attack the pillar again in attempt to destroy it. After he was done on the first pillar, he'll attack the next pillar that his eyes caught.

On the other hand, Kerin didn't attack any of the pillars but he purposely swim within its range, as if baiting the pillar to hit him. The pillars did what Kerin expect them to do. With Kerin's current speed, he was able to manipulate the direction where the pillars would hit. He directed the pillars to hit each other. In result, Kerin didn't need to lift any finger to destroy the pillars, since the pillars did Kerin a favor and destroy themselves instead.

---

Stalane who was watching them from the orb, the device that Kaleigh lent them, furrowed her brows. "What are they doing? If they continue to do this, the fish will notice them and will get frightened. It will obviously swim away." she commented at how they recklessly destroying things.

Kaleigh didn't bother to answer back and just continued watching. He was too focused on what Syton's plan would be. He was attentive on observing Syton's action.

---

Syton smiled in satisfaction after he heard the loud sounds of explosion. He was sure that Kerin and Blaze was doing a good job with what he have told them to do.

Blaze went into the left direction, Kerin went into the right, and Syton is currently going into the middle.

He was leisurely taking his time swimming. If a pillar notices his presence, he'll avoid its attack at ease. When he found the pillar a bother, he'll easily destroy it with a single slash.

They continue to do this until they all meet in the center. When they see each other, they all nodded without saying anything. The three of them move forward going south. They also made sure to destroy the other pillars that was on their way.

When they already have gone a certain distance from the center, Syton stopped swimming. Blaze and Kerin noticed it, so they stopped too.

"We caught it" Syton informed his team mates.

"Really?" Kerin asked in glee.

Syton proudly nodded. "Let's go and meet with the intelligent prince fish!"

With his cue, they swam back to the center. After that they turned to the right. After a few minutes of swimming, they finally found the prince fish that was caught into the trap that they've laid down.

"That's so quick!" Blaze exclaimed after they saw the fish.

"hehe!" Syton took that as a compliment.
