Hayley, Hayley, Hayley I hear someone say it sounds far away and my head is still pounding from where i hit it on the floor, I don't know where we are and I don't know what happened to Clary, Clary i think sitting up straight and gasping I squint my eyes looking at my surroundings its bright in the room tall ceilings and pretty much everything is white. I control my breathing and see Clary in a bed next to me still unconscious, i blink a couple of times and my eyesight returns to normal.
"How are you feeling." I turn my head and see Jace sitting on the end of Clarys bed.
"Other than the fact that i just got stabbed and knocked unconscious... fucking peachy." I say sarcastically
"The question only required a yes or no answer." He replied
"Well i thought I'd give you the rundown of my situation... anyway im Hayley Winters and you are?" I ask
"Jace Wayland, you were only out for a couple of hours because you didn't get any demon venom on you." He tells me
"Is Clary gonna be okay?" I say seriously looking down at her unconscious form
"I'm fine." Clary says in a quite voice opening her eyes thank god, i jump up from the bed i was sitting on and pull Clary into a tight hug before she even has a chance to sit up "Losing circulation here." I hear her say "Sorry, im just happy your alive you know and not dead." She rolls her eyes at me and laughs
"The mundanes shouldn't even be her ." Alec said walking into the room.
"Where is here exactly?" Clary asked him
"And FYI where not mundanes so you should get your facts right before you start accusing." I add giving him a smile as he looks at me.
"There not mundanes, Alec." Jace says looking up at him
"How do you know that?" He asked the blonde
"Okay just ignore me and pretend im not here definitely doesn't offend me." I say to no one in particular
"The Seraph blade lit up when they touched it, and this one." He says pointing at me "Just said that they weren't mundanes."
"Oh so you did hear me you just didn't acknowledge me, Rude much."
"Shut up Hayley." Clary says to me
"I'm, uh..."
"Clary Fray and that's your friend Hayley Winters." Jace points to me "we know who you two are."
"You only know my name cause i just told." I say
"We don't need your running commentary Hayley." Clary says looking at me, i hear the other girl in the room laugh at least someone enjoys my pointless comments.
"Am I the only one who find this unusual?" Alec asks
"You find everything unusual Alec." Jace said
"I have to report this to the Clave."
"You know what? Dial it down a notch."
"Does anyone else find that all hot guys are annoying and don't know how to have fun." I say piping up, everyone turns and looks at me as i shrug my shoulders.
"I know how to have fun." Jace says I roll my eyes
"I wasn't saying you were the hot one." I say pointing to Alec "He the hot one and my saviour." I say fluttering my eyelashes and holding my hand on my head pretending to faint.
"I like you." The black haired girl says laughing "I'm Isabelle by the way but you an call me Izzy." So that's her name it suits her
"Can you two stop joking around." Alec says
"Are you jealous that im closer with Isabelle than i am with you?" I ask a slight blush rising on his cheeks, Isabelle buts in before he can answer.
"My brother doesn't have a dial." Isabelle says replying to what Jace said before we got distracted "I love you Alec, but you have a switch that is always on."
"I love you too. But this..." He said pointing at me and Clary
"Hey, you know what? Give me a minute." Jace says nobody moves. "Here's a word you never hear me say... Please?"
"What is with you?" Alec asked Jace before turning to his sister."Really, no, what is with him?"
"Walk with me big brother. Ill explain it to you." Izzy said leading Alec away
"Your wound is healed." Jace says looking at Clary
"How is that even possible? So, what, were miraculously healed and all of you... stunning people have magical powers?" Clary asked
"No, no, don't confuse me with a warlock." Blondy said scoffing
"A what?" Clary asked
"A warlock, Its one of the Downworlders."
"Its true Clary just listen to what he is talking about." I say
"Warlocks, Vampires, Seelies..."
"Literally my brain is about to explode." Clary told him
"Jeez, alright. Well, ill keep it simple for you. All the legends are true. We're shadowhunters. We protect the human world from the demon world. So those people you saw murdered at the Pandemonium, they weren't people at all, they were shapeshifting demons." Jace told her, she looked up at me and i nodded
"I'm not interested in being apart of your Supernatural Fight Club. I just wanna find my mum." Clary said her voice breaking. "The rest of it, whatever it is, all i care about is finding my mother. Please. Please help me find her." She asked
"We will find your mum Clary i promise and you gotta admit a Supernatural Fight Club would be pretty cool." I tell her they both roll there eyes at the second half of my sentence.
"I'm the best chance you've got." He told her and i fake gagged at the sentence making sure nobody saw me when i did it.
"I don't even know you." Their moment was cut short by Clarys I Phone ringing I picked it up for her and saw that it was Simon calling.

Yep its been a crazy coupla hours
Find my friend says your in some kind of abandoned building
I see you give us five minutes Clary has to get dressed

"So that was Simon he's standing outside waiting for us so hurry up and get dressed." I tell Clary
"Um, what, uh... what happened to my clothes?" Clary asked turning to Jace
"Demon venom. Remember? Isabelle left you these." Bonds nodded to the chair behind her
CLary looked at the clothes "You're kidding right?"
"She's very comfortable with her body." Jace told her. She looks toward me "I like em." I say making her shake her head.
"Okay" Clary said looking in the mirror after she got dressed and notices the rune on her neck, she huffs turning to Jace. "How did that get there?"
"I drew that" he replied
"Okay, listen. I still don't get everything that's going on here, but you do not tattoo my neck. That's just creepy." She says angrily.
"If we are being technical here that drawing saved your life." I told her as Jace nods his head
"Duly noted. I guess next time ill just let you die. And its not a tattoo its a rune. They have enormous power. Good for shadowhunters. Lethal for humans. But you, you already know all about runes don't you?" Jace asked handing Clary her art book with runes drawn all over it.
"Or maybe you don't." Jace said "Which is what makes you so interesting... Clary Fray" Jace continues as he stands up and grabs his Seraph blade. "I saw something behind your friend." He informs us.
"Hey" I say as me and Clary follow him "I'm interesting as well."
"Your not going to kill Simon are you?" Clary asked as we followed Jace to the front door of the Institute.
"Protect the humans, kill the demons. You'll get it eventually." Jace told her. We open the front door and walk down the steps to Simon.
"So, why cant Simon see you?" Clary asked Jace
"This is a glamour, a rune that makes me invisible to mundanes." He said showing us a rune on his hip "Its a shame, really, cause... well denying him all this"
"Simon" I say running up to him and giving him a fist bump which causes both of us to start laughing
"What are you wearing Clary?" Looking here up and down and taking his coat off to put around her shoulders
"I think its cute and it suits her." I add but they just keep on talking used to my comments about nothing in particular
"Let me take you home."
"I don't think i have one anymore." Clary told him with a frown
"Why? What do you mean."
"Well..." A man yelling cut Clary off
Clary Fairchild and Hayley Herondale its my lucky day both of you in the same place at once." Clary and i turn around and see Jace attack him from behind, Clary gasps and grabs my arm
"Herondale?" I say why did he call me Hayley Herondale
"Hayley, whats going on? What are you two looking at?" Simon asked confused
"If you give me the girls ill let you live." The man said to Jace
"Your in no position to be making rules." Jace said grunting. Clary gasps again and I shush her
"Hayley... Clary...!" We ignored Simon
"We'll never stop hunting them." The man said his voice weak
"This is for my father." Jace growls stabbing him in the heart
"Jace!" Clary yelled and ran up to him
"Excuse me?" Simon asked confused
"Is he dead?" Clary asked pointing at the body
"No he normally just lays there with out moving after being stabbed through the heart." I say and she glares at me
"Is who dead?" He gasps when he sees the body at the bottom of the steps "What the..."
"Could you deglamourize, or whatever so our best friend doesn't think were losing our mind?" She said to Jace
"Simon already thinks im crazy anyway so this doesn't really change much." I say
"Um... what is happening?" Simon asked when he can see Jace
"Yeah, we don't have the luxury right now kid. Everyone back inside." Blondy told us
"Girls, who is this? Your meth dealer?"
"Obviously who else would he be, definitely not a friend" I say with a grin and Jace glares at me
"Wait" I say "Ive seen him before at the police station." i told Jace
"He's a member of the Circle Hayley, he's here for you two." He told me
"I get why he wants Clary but why does he want me." Jace shrugs oh well ill find out soon enough
"He's with the people who took my mother." Clary said
"Right now, your little best friend here led him right to you. He's here to capture or kill you both." Jace said again
"There's a dead body there, we have to call Luke." Simon said
"We cant trust Luke, Simon. we cant." Clary exclaimed
"Yes we can Clary" I say with a sigh "He only said that stuff to protect us." She looks at me and i can tell she is still unsure
"Clary, i need to keep you safe. I promise you, i promise you i am gonna help you find your mother, but your one of us, your a shadowhunter." Jace told her
"OhMyGod is today like pretend Hayley doesn't exist day caus seriously i am right here and nobody is even acknowledging me." I say and look up at Clary who is shaking her head
"That's because 80% of the stuff you talk about has nothing to do with the situation." Clary tells me fair enough she has a point
"What are you talking about? Clary... you don't know this guy all right? Come with me. I can get us help. Clary, please. Clary, Hayley come on." Simon said.
"Simon you idiot that was totally your chance to say Come with me if you want to live, some people have no respect for movies these days, if you said that i would have followed you to the ends of the earth." I say with a sigh I guess i will have to be the movie person and the brains person. Both of them glare at me
"Can you be serious for once in your life this isn't a joke." They both say at the same time i smile at them innocently.
"Clary, Hayley come on we gotta go." I look to Clary and she looks back at me then she grabs Simons hand
"Simon we think Jace can help us." She told him. I start walking up the stairs towards the entrance to the Institute with Jace behind me and Clary pulling Simon with her.
"What?" Simon exclaims
"Come on." Clary says and starts pulling Simon with her again
"How do we know this Mick Jagger-looking guy is even gonna try..." Simon starts but Jace cuts him off.
"Mundane we do not have the time." Jace told Simon before he starts walking up the stairs again, I stop walking and turn around when i reach the door.
"Simon can you hurry the actual fuck up." I say, he stops arguing and lets Clary pull him the rest of the way up the stairs
Once we get inside, we look around the destroyed hallway. Jace pulls a stele out of his pocket and starts to draw a healing rune on his arm, he gasps slightly at first
Simon looks scared. "I know its weird just trust us."
"He's like burning himself." Sighing Jace takes Simons hand, who looked at him shocked. "Buddy whats going on, man? I'm not your type, man I don't even..." Simon stopped muttering and looked at the now perfectly normal hallway with shadowhunters on computers "Where are we? What the hell? Clary, Hayley is there a war going on that I don't know about?" He asked us
"There is now." Jace said and walked away
"I think my mother is at the centre of it." Clary told him as i followed Blondy
"You coming?" Jace called out to Clary and Simon.
"Yeah" they both replied at the same time.
