I lay on my bed staring up at the ceiling thinking over everything that has happened over the last couple of days when i hear a knock on the door and see Izzy walk in
"Sorry to interrupt but we have a problem. The mundies leaving." Izzy said
"What!" I yell "Why."
"You should probably go talk to him." She says as i jump out of the bed
"Clary is already after him." She calls as i jog out of the door.
I jog towards the front doors of the Institute to find Simon and Clary talking to each other.
"Yes you can its..." I hear Simon says as i near them "Its not safe here." He says as Jace walks out of the elevator.
"In fact this is probably the safest place she could possibly be." Jace said as i stopped next to Simon and Clary
"You don't get to talk to me Captain America." He says
"That's really not offensive Simon, Captain Americas hot." I tell him and he glares daggers at me.
"Considering im the guy with the weapons, i get to say what i want." Jace said with his arms crossed
"Okay come at me bro!" Simon said
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah!" Simon said and i grabbed his arm before he could get into a fight he wouldn't win
"Hey, whats your problem?" I ask him
"He's my problem!" Simon yelled pointing to Blondy "He's just like Kirk Duplesse from High School. Do you remember him? Total jerk with the square jaw, smelled like body spray, always bullying people, why don't you do your own homework? Just once yeah? You dated him remember." He said looking at me, he takes a deep breath to calm himself down "I can take care of myself." He starts to walk off.
"I'm not saving his ass a second time..." Jace told us
"Shut up Jace no one cares." I say as i try to catch up with Simon
"Simon! Hey... Simon..." Clary says running to catch up to him
"What?"
"You were kidnapped by vampires okay? You of all people should know how dangerous it is out there" Clary told him
"Ill be fine." He tries to leave again but i step in front of him
"Hey your not the only one who's in danger, All right? If you go home now, you're putting your mother and your sister and even Maureen at risk, think about the." I told him
"I am thinking about them." Simon told me
"Are you?" Clary asks
"Yeah because if everything you've said about the Shadow World's true, they're already in danger and i need to be home to protect them."
"He's got a point." I say stepping to the side to let him past "Its up to him where he goes we cant force him to stay here."
"Come with me we can crash at my place, we can figure all this out."
"You have no idea how much i want to go back to the way things were, to be with you and my mum and..."Clary told him
"Girls, We've had each other's backs our whole lives, we've never needed anyone." He sighs "Let me help you, we don't." Simon says looking at Jace "We dont need these people."
"Simon... i dont know how to explain this, okay? But i think... i think these are our people." Clary told him he looks at me
"I promised Jocelyn and my mum i would protect Clary." I tell him "I go where she goes."
"Message received, loud and clear." He said walking out the doors towards his van
"Simon, wait! Simon!" Clary tried to stop him but i grab her arm
"You cant tell him what to do Clary."
"Do you even care?" She asks before storming off
I go up to the room i am staying in and get changed into some yoga pants, an oversized hoodie, ugg boots and put my hair into a messy bun then i head back down to the centre to meet up with the others and Hodge, he starts talking when i get close enough
"Magnus Bane, he's over 300 years old, and as you can see he's not exactly shied away from the pleasures of every century, his tastes are both exquisite... and quite excessive." HOdge told us showing us pictures
"He looks like the Downworlds David Guetta." I say sarcastically
"Guettas already a Downworlder." Izzy told me "Vampire? Ever seen him in the daylight."
"I need to add that to my bucket list." i say pulling my phone out my pocket
"Can you two focus? This is not a joke." Alec said
"Someone needs to get slayed."
"Oh i wasnt joking i really am adding that to my bucket list." I tell him and he rolls his eyes at me
"Shes got a weird bucket list." Clary tells them
That's when i decided to tune out getting bored by the conversation i play a game on my phone until i die for a third time and get pissed
"Shit!" I exclaim everyone looks at me "Just died." I say putting my phone back in my pocket "So whats the plan."
"Have you listened to anything we just said." Alec asked me
"Nope, i got bored and tuned out a while ago." I say and he shakes his head
Izzy handed me a flyer that said 'Rapturdus Evenide'
"A downworlder rave nice Izzy." Jace says
"Where'd you get that." Alec asked
"During my surveillance of the Downworlders, from what i hear Magnus likes to Party."
"Hell never go for it, not with Valentine trying to kill him."
"Of course he will, hell blend right in, hide in plain sight." Jace said
"I dont know, it seems..." Clary starts
"Like the best idea someone could come up with and we are 100%, I agree." I say cutting her off
"Never underestimate Magnus' hedonism, or his greed, come with me." Hodge said leading us to the training room, he got his stele out and drew a rune on the floor, opening it he pulled out a ruby necklace
"Is that real?" Izzy asked
"A four karat unheated burmese ruby, and this necklace has special meaning to Magnus Bane as it was a gift from him to his then lover, Camille Belcourt." Hodge told us
"What Camille and Magnus were lovers?" Clary asked
"Warlock gets around." Jace says
"Magnus bought it in 1857 for the price of his London townhouse, now the jewel is enchanted with a spell that alerts the wearer to the presence of demons." Hodge continues
"Its so beautiful." Izzy says touching it
"Magnus has longed to reunite with this necklace, offer it to him, he might just take it." Hodge tells us
"Ill send Magnus a fire message to arrange the meeting, we have to get to Magnus before Valentine does." Jace told us leaving
"What if Valentine get there at the same time as us?" I ask
"Were stuffed." Izzy answers and leads us up to her room to get changed into something more party worthy.
"What are you two wearing to the Downworlder party tonight?" Izzy asked us
"All my party clothes are at my place so can i borrow a dress from you?" I ask she nods her head and then turns to Clary
"I dont know, i was just thinking of wearing this." She says pointing to here jeans and t shirt
Izzy laughed "I dont think so, no downworlder would be caught dead in that, plus its a party not a poetry slam."
"I dont have any other clothes." Clary says
"Well you'll just have to wear mine like Hayley."
"You realise one of these days your going to have to tell us where and when." I said as i looked at Izzy
"Where and when what?"
"Where you get your spending money... and when you're letting us go to a store?" I tell her
"Clary... Hayley." Izzy says handing Clary a black dress and me a red one
"OKay this dress is way to tight." Clary said
"Its fine go put it on." I told her as i walked into the bathroom
"Try these." Izzy says passing me a pair of black heels
"I love it." I say walking out of Izzys bathroom
"You look hot." Izzy says as she looks me up and down I smile at her
"See it fine." I tell Clary as she walks out of the bathroom changed
"You're so lucky you have such a flat chest, i can never wear that without a bra." Izzy tells Clary
"Really?" She asked
"Really." She replies
"Someone's looking badass." I hear Jace say and turn around
"Oh thanks." Clary chuckles
"She cleans up well, me and Hayley were just about to go see Alec and help him pick what to wear to the party." Izzy said grabbing my arm and pulling me towards the door when we were behind Jace I turned around and winked at Clary.
Izzy opened the door to Alec room and was about to walk in when Izzy was called by Hodge she turned and looked at me
"If you dont pick something nice ill kill you." She said with smile before pushing me through the door and closing it
"I'm gonna snap my fucking ankle if you push me when im in heels." I mumble under my breath
"Can i help you with something." Alec says and i look up to seem him shirtless
"Izzy um...uh told me told me to help you find something nice to where or she is going to kill me." I tell him when i look up at him again i see him staring at my dress
"Like what you see?" I ask making him blush and look away, i walk over to his cupboard and open it to see pretty much all of his clothes are black "Nice to see you have a variety of clothes." I say sarcastically grabbing the only shirt that isn't black but a dark blue i turn around and walk over to where he is still leaning on the dresser watching me "Put this on." I say trying not to look at his bare chest
"Thanks." He says grabbing it from my hands but before i can walk away he grabs my waist and pulls me towards him so our faces are only centimetres apart, i look down to his lips quickly before looking back up to his eyes, i lean forwards and quickly close the gap between us.
He hesitates slightly before deepening the kiss, he spins us around and lifts me so im sitting on top of the dresser with my legs wrapped around his waist
"Am i interrupting something." I break the kiss and look up to see Izzy smirking
I smile at her "we're on our way" i say as Alec moves to the side so i can slide off the dresser.
Alec puts his shirt on and we head off to meet the other two.
