ELORA
The strange boy ignored me and I felt like ripping his head off. "Hey!" I yell
He ignored me for the third time. I walk closer to him and push off all the cosmetics arranged on the table. He moves backward, startled by my action. "Hey!!" He yells
I turn in his direction. "Are you answering me or not? Huh?"
He groans. "Why are you this troublesome?"
"And why are you this rude?"
He bats his lashes and groans. He brushes his hair in frustration but I don't care. He closes his eyes, tries to breathe in and out, and then sighs. "What exactly do you want?"
I roll my eyes. Good question. "Are you hiding someone in this room?".
He groans. "Did you see anyone here when you came in?"
"That doesn't answer my question!!"
"That's the best way to answer your question"
I chuckle but change it into a glare. "Really?"
He nods. "And please make use of the door, when you're done". I glare at him. Is he trying to drive me out of the room? "Elora, out please". I glared at him for the last time and stormed out of the room in anger. He's just too rude for my liking. I still don't get why my sister let him stay with her. I don't like him, not even for a second. I don't know why she doesn't understand that. I can't believe she sent me to his room to check on him as if I'm a babysitter.
I hiss and open the door to her room. I pop my head in first. She was facing the mirror, giving the last touch to her looks, I guess. She turns to look at me. "You're back?". I roll my eyes and walk into the room fully. "Is he awake?" She asks. I roll my eyes and sit down on the couch. Why is she asking me that? "Talk to me, Lora". I hiss. Am I his babysitter or what? "Lora?" She calls
I groan. "Stop disturbing my peace, okay? It isn't like I'm a babysitter"
She chuckles. "Just tell me already"
I roll my eyes. "I don't know if he's awake or not. You can confirm yourself if he's that important to you"
She chuckles. "Hmmm, is that a sign of being jealous?"
I roll my eyes. Jealous? Of whom in particular? "I ain't jealous of anyone. Don't even think about it"
She laughs. "I can see it in your eyes"
I roll my eyes. "I'm not jealous, okay?"
She chuckles. "I believe you"
I yawn slightly, bored with the conversation. I stand up from the couch and stretch. I turn in the direction of the door. "I'll go grab something to eat". I made, to leave.
"You didn't tell me if he's awake, ready or not?"
I roll my eyes. "You've got legs, remember? And they serve the same purpose as mine. You know what to do"
She giggles. "You're such a rude girl"
I roll my eyes and walk out of the room. That's her problem, not mine. My problem right now is to feed my grumbling stomach. I enter the kitchen to prepare a cup of coffee and a sandwich, just for myself alone. I thought of making one for Ari but I know she will end up giving it to that rude strange guy. So, I won't care about her or him. I care less about them. Preparing the sandwich and coffee didn't take too long, since it was just for a serve. I play a piece of music and dance to it, while I serve the food. I put the sandwich into a plate and then place it on the tray, alongside the cup of coffee. Putting my phone into my pocket, I walk out of the kitchen. Ari and the strange guy, what's his name again? Ori, are already downstairs. They are sitting down some meters away from the dining table. I ignore their stares and sit down to eat my food. I was almost done with the food when Ari walked up to me. "Lora, why is there just a plate on the table?"
I place the last part of the sandwich into my mouth and begin to mulch it. I swallow it and pick up my cup of coffee, sip from it, and then drop it on the table. "Sorry, what did you say?"
She hisses. "Gosh, I don't know where I got you from"
I chuckle. "From paradise"
She giggles. "Then you're in trouble in paradise"
I glare at her and she chuckles. "Whatever" I murmur and stand up to clear the table.
"Did you destroy some things in Ori's room?"
I groan. He reported me to my sister. Is he for real??"I don't know what you're talking about"
"Ori told me you turned his room into a mess. Is that true?"
I hiss. "I only let him know. I don't like being ignored"
She sighs. "Lora."
"Please, spare me your sermon. It's too early for that"
She sighs. "Can you make us some sandwiches instead, please?"
I roll my eyes. "You should ask Google to search" I answer and walk out on her. I can hear her giggle. I wash the dishes and clean my hands with the towel. She walks in, still smiling. She hardly gets angry.
"Make us sandwiches, please" she coos
I drop the towel back on its rack. "You ain't ready to eat. If you are, you know what to do"
I walk out of the kitchen. "You're such a big trouble in Paradise" she yells. I stop on my track and turn.
"You said what?"
She chuckles. "I said I love you"
I roll my eyes. She had better not repeat it, or I'll end up breaking her head and sending her to the hospital!!.
**
The car has been on the road for a while now. I don't know the exact place we are heading to. Ori and Ari kept chatting leaving me out of it. Just looking at them get along with each other, within a short period, I hiss. How did they create the bond in the first place? From their names to some parts of their characters? Their names almost sound the same when shortened, as in Ari and Ori.
I roll my eyes. My sister hasn't told me how they met in the first place and why she thinks it was right to bring him to her place instead of taking him to the cops. She even bought him clothes and made him feel comfortable and he thinks he's now part of the family. I am going to make sure he is uncomfortable until he packs out. The car came to a sudden stop and I hit my head. I groan. "What the hell!!"
"Sorry" Ari coos
I hiss. Ari runs out of the car and Ori follows suit. I look through the front mirror to see a young woman carrying a baby. I roll my eyes and pop my head out. "Are you ok?" Ari asks.
I hold the part of my head I slam; with my hand and step out of the car. I need to see what it looks like. I stared at it in the mirror and I felt like yelling. It was red and painful. I storm in their direction. "Ari, who is at fault here? You or her?"
Ari sighs. "It's nobody's fault, Lora. Go back to the car"
I hiss. "Don't tell me what to do. Do you see my head?"
Ori groans. "Can you for once be mature?"
I hiss. "I'm talking to my sister, not you!!. You'd better keep your mouth shut!!"
Ari groans. "Lora, please get into the car, and stop creating a scene"
I scoff. "Really? I'm creating a scene? Huh?"
"Elora, stop being..."
"Watch me create a scene"
She groans. "Elora!!"
I ignore her and begin to scream. A car stopped right in front of me. It was Mom, she glared at me. I roll my eyes and chuckle nervously. "Get into the car" she orders
"Mom?"
She glares at me. "Don't let me repeat myself, Lora. Get into the car, now!!"
I groan and walk close to the car. I open the door and step in. Without saying any more words, Mom drives off. I keep stealing glances at her. I know when we get home, she isn't going to take it easy on me.
