ORION
It is my time for class with Elora and I have already arranged books on the dining table. Ariana is out of the house already, leaving just me and Elora. As I sit down to wait for her, I go through some books.
"Someone seems ready for class" I hear and I turn to see Elora staring at me.
I wonder why she sounds so calm.
"Are you Elora I know? Or there is someone else living inside of that body" I ask.
She folds her arms and stares dangerously at me. "Is that supposed to be a compliment?"
"You can take it in whatever way you want. I am just surprised you are not yelling"
She ignores me and sits down on the chair opposite mine.
"What do we have here" she says, picking up a few books. She opens a few of them and groans slightly. She stares at me. "You are kidding, right?"
I furrow my brows. "About what?"
She points at the book in front of her. "This book cannot be for the exams you are preparing for. Are they?" I shrug and she sighs. "Do you not know what is written in these books?"
I sigh. "What is wrong with the books?"
"Can't you read? These are books about life. How to live a proper life. How to operate some machines. Why should I teach you stuff like this?"
"What is wrong with teaching me stuff like this?"
She groans. "Are you an alien or something". I stare at her and she sighs. "Is this supposed to be a prank? These are books you do not need and if you think you need them, you can read them yourselves. You don't need anyone to teach you stuff like this"
"What stuff do I need people to teach me?" I ask and she blinks.
"You are joking right?"
I shrug. "I am not. Does it look like I am joking?"
She sighs. "I should not have agreed to teach you in the first place. You see these..." She points at the books and sighs. "I do not even know what to say". She stands up.
"You are not leaving. Are you?"
She scoffs. "You don't expect me to sit with you. Do you?"
I sigh. "I guess you are leaving then". She ignores me and begins to leave. "You know that if you do not teach me, our agreement does not stand any more"
She stops walking and turns to face me. "What do you mean?"
"You heard me. If you are not going to teach me then our agreement doesn't stand"
She scoffs. "You don't expect me to sit and teach you this, do you?"
"If you can't teach me this, then teach me things I need to know"
She sighs. "Are you going to learn whatever I teach you?"
I furrow my brows. "You do not plan to teach me bad stuff, do you?"
"Do I look like someone who would do that?"
"We both know you can"
She glares at me. "Fine! Since you think I can, you can as well teach yourself!!!" she yells as she storms away.
I watch her walk through the steps and I sigh. I stand up and begin to gather up the books. When I was done, I returned them to my room.
"How was your first class?" Melvin asks.
"Catastrophe" I reply and he busts into laughter.
"I knew it would be. What did she do to you? I am sure she showed you hell"
I scoff. "She did not. She thinks these books are not worth teaching me"
"Can I see the books"
"Can you hold books yet?"
"Just bring them closer to me and I will read what is written on them"
I pick a book up and show him. "Next" he mutters. After showing him a few books he groans. "These are not the books you took to her. Are they?"
I furrow my brows. "What do you mean?"
"Come on, these are books you don't need help with. With your IQ as a Demon, man, you can read all these in a few hours and you will be able to operate them". I scoff but say nothing. "I understand why she rejects these books. If you want her to teach you, go to the bookstore and get better books"
I scoff. "Are you supporting her?"
He shakes his head slightly. "Nah. I am not. I am only trying to tell the truth here"
I sigh. "Do you think she will teach me if I get the books?"
"Did she tell you that she will not?"
"I already told her our agreement doesn't stand anymore"
He groans. "Why will you do that? Do you know how difficult it was for you to get her to agree?"
I scoff. "If she can't, Ari will"
"She goes to work. You do not expect her to come back from work and begin to teach you. That will be stressful for her" he says and I sigh. "I think Elora is the only one who can teach you. She is the only one available. You have to go back to convince her"
I scoff. "I will not do that"
"Of course you will. And you will do that now"
I groan. "I am not going to..."
"You will. When I say you will, you will"
I sigh and stand up from the couch. "I am going to sleep. I did not get enough sleep because I was eager to start class. I should have known it would end up like this"
I head to my bed but feel something moving me backward. I turn to see Melvin swirling his index finger.
"What are you doing?"
"Making you do what you are supposed to do"
I furrow my brows. "How are you able to do that?"
"I was made from the gemstone, remember? I have some of its power in me so I can do this"
"Is that even possible?"
"Anything is possible, son"
I scoff. "And who is your son?"
"You are"
"I am not your son. Stop calling me that"
"If you are not and you do not want me to call you that. Then head now to Elora's room and tell her the agreement still stands"
"I am not doing that"
"Then I will be turning you into a stone until you are ready to do it"
I roll my eyes slightly. "You will not". He swirls his finger at me and I groan. "Fine! I will"

It was difficult to make Elora come out to see me. Convincing her to take me back as her student was more difficult.
"You annul the agreement, there is no turning back," she says.
She is adamant about not changing her mind and I am not ready to leave without her changing it.
"I only said that to make you change your mind" I replied and she scoffs.
"Well, I am not going to change my mind"
"Why are you being so adamant?"
She frowns. "What is that supposed to mean? You cancel the agreement and I am only doing as you wanted. Why are you blaming me for being adamant?"
"You said you are doing it for me but I already said I want the agreement to stand why do you insist on cancelling it?"
She sighs. "You know what, you can ask my door after I close it on you," she says, slamming the door to my face.
I groan slightly. This girl is nothing but a nutcase.
