What is this reality, what is this world we live in? It's what I have asked my self a countless number of times. For some, this is a place without worry, A sanctuary, This cold bland colorless world that we live in I've always seen it like this. so why? Why?! Does she make me see in color why does my heart skip a beat every time I'm around her. It's so irritating this unusual sensation this tight feeling in my chest it disgusts me. It disgusts me how much I love you. I love you so much that I want to kill you.
LOVE YOU TO DEATH
It was a cold day just like any other. It was the middle of winter after all. As I was walking I felt the cold drops of snow touch the top of my head. I could hear the loud satisfying crunch of the snow beneath my feet, and the dark pale sky mimicking the colors of a clam's shell. "Jiro." "Jiro." "Jiro!"
I quickly turned around Startled by the sudden call. It was just A-O she's my childhood friend. Coincidentally we were born on the same day and time she's a kind and cheery soul that seems to bring joy to all those around her. It's almost as if she had some kind of aura that touches the hearts of all those who approach her. However, this gift of hers seems to have the opposite effect on me. As a matter of fact, this sensation brings an odd sensation. A feeling that I have never felt before. This feeling that over time I have grown to hate so much causing me to avoid her as much as possible.
"Hey." I responded as I walked away she quickly ran up to me hugging me from behind.
" On your way to school?"
"Nope," I said sarcastically
"Really! What if they find out!" she exclaimed cluelessly.
"Stupid can't you tell when someone isn't being serious. " I said lightly hitting the top of her head."
"I-I totally knew you weren't serious! I-I just wanted to be funny! Yea that's it! It was just a joke!" she said laughing awkwardly."
"Well I got a class to be at so ima start going now ok." I said trying to avoid further conversation.
"Hold on wait up!" she exclaimed running behind me.
"Sorry, but I have a class to be in soon. you wouldn't want me to be late would you?"
I said as I ran towards the shikei academy building. Truth was that I'm actually 30 minutes early but I'm just glad to get away from her. But why did I want to retreat so badly? I started to lose myself in my thoughts as I ran towards the building. Thinking of what this feeling may be? This tight sensation in my chest. Why do I feel this way? Am I sick? Maybe I have a fever. I guess I'll stop by the nurse's office to get checked out. I thought to myself as I put my things away in my locker heading down the hall towards the nurse's office. But as I made my way down the hall I heard a familiar voice up ahead, it was A-O I panicked "Crap!" I needed to find a place to hide fast but where could I go without her spotting me? As I quickly scanned the area looking for places to stay hidden I saw a door leading to a dark room. "that's it!" I thought rushing towards the door slamming it behind me not noticing that I locked the door behind me. Letting out a sigh of relief I sat down. Now all I needed to do was wait until she was gone. carefully watching her until she was out of sight. Relieved that she was finally gone I reached for the door handle.
"Hm? What's this? It's not opening?" I thought to myself.
"Mabey I was turning the handle the wrong way?" I thought to my self trying again this time in the other direction. It wouldn't budge the door was locked! I began to panic. I was locked in this room with nobody nearby to help! I began to desperately start shaking the door calling for help but that's when I realized that if I was too loud A-O would come to check what the sound was. "Crap!" Mabey I was stuck here for good! I began to desperately think up a plan on how to get out of this cold and darkroom. But as I desperately tried to think of a way out I soon found myself drifting away into a deep sleep as I saw the school nurse reaching towards me. soon finding myself in the nurse's office.
"Oh, Mr. Tagami I see you finally decided to wake up.
"What happened? what time is it?"
" It is currently 9 pm!" she said in a joyous tone
"What!" I exclaimed. "Why didn't you wake me sooner!"
" Well, you just seemed so relieved calling me your hero in your sleep."
"Oh! Well, I guess that was just my way of saying thank you for getting me out of there." I said laughing awkwardly.
"Oh, you flatter me! If you keep saying things like that I might just break a law or two!" She said laughing in a cheery tone.
"Yeah! Wait what?!" I said shocked. "what exactly do you mean by that?" I asked nervously.
"How about I show you!" she said pinning me down on the mattress I was laying on.
"W-what are you doing!" I exclaimed.
"shhh. No need to worry your little head about this just let me take things from here," she said placing her finger against my lips.
"W-wait!" I said my voice not reaching her. Who would have known that the woman I admired for saving me had such a personality? But as I saw all my memories of this cold dark world flash before my eyes I heard a loud crash coming from the direction of the door.
"My my look who have here!" it was A-O but what was she doing here so late?
"Jiro!! Are you ok?!"
"Y-yea I guess so."
"How dare you hurt my Jiro you old hag!! He isn't interested in middle-aged hags like you!!"
" I literally just said I'm fine! and I'm pretty sure she isn't old at all."
" Exactly I'm only 22 you brat! So get it through that thick skull of yours! And besides, he's mine!"
"What did you say!"
" Hmpf- you heard me," said Ms.Fukuhara flicking her hair over her shoulder.
and just as if I was in between a dragon and a tiger the pressure in the air was insane! What was this power? It was overwhelming as if I had encountered two gods in a ferocious battle. But this was my chance, my chance to escape! I slowly tiptoed towards the door making my way out of the nurse's office. Running for my dear life the moment I made it in the hall. Hoping that they wouldn't notice my absence from the room, and just when I thought I was safe I heard the two of them call from down the hall saying. "Where do you think you're going Jiro!" I felt like a rabbit running from two foxes as I ran down the halls. Scared for my life I ran as if the world was coming to end running through anything in my way with my only objective to survive. And before I knew it I was at my front door finally I'm safe at last!
"You sure about that!" said the both of them from behind me.
I screamed in shock rushing into my house slamming the door behind me, and ever since that day I knew that I never wanted to see any kind of doctor again in my life.
