As it was getting late James his parents went to bed trying to forget about all these terrible happenings. The death count would not stop rising. The death count in their town alone totaled had risen to a thousand people. All across the country, the numbers were rising to ten million. This was a nightmare. For all people, however, James was excited. The gaming world he was a legend in has now come to life.
As time passed it slowly became time for James to meet up with Brodin. During this time he started writing down everything he could remember from Heroes Dimension. Every tiny bit of information. From items to monsters he didn't snip a single thing. When James looked at the clock on the wall it was 1.00 a.m.
"Let's get ready." James said to himself.
He walked into the kitchen and grabbed a sharp knife and put it in his backpack. He then went upstairs and started wrapping up his hand. After that, he went into the shed and grabbed a baseball bat. After 15 minutes of preparation, James was ready for battle. He had his hands wrapped for hand-to-hand combat and in his backpack, he had his weapons and a medkit. He then left and headed for his school.
*15 minutes later at the school*
"Hey, James." Brodin said standing behind a small wall hiding from the monsters. "Did you have any encounters with monsters on the way here?"
"Yeah, but it was a lizardman that I caught of guard. I easily slit its throat. Besides that, I knew to avoid any contact with the monsters. Anyway, let's go search for a dungeon entrance." Said, James.
"Yeah, where do you want to look. I was here 15 minutes early so I already scouted out the school." Brodin said.
"Alright then, let's go to the park and see if there is anything there."
As the two boys walked through the town they were careful not to make any noise. Every light was out. There were monsters almost everywhere. Now and then a scream could be heard from someone that was being killed by the monsters.
"There are monsters everywhere. Are you sure we can get safely to the park and even then how can we leave safely?" Brodin asked.
"Yeah, of course, we are getting there safely. We know more about the monsters than anyone in this town. Even if we have to fight we know all the weak points of the monsters." James said.
They continued walking through what seemed a ghost town.
After a 15 minute walk, the two arrived at the park.
"Alright, let's go." James said as he walked through the entrance.
Brodin quickly followed but behind them, a small group of little figures also followed.
"Hey, don't you think it is unusually quiet in here?" Brodin asked.
"Yeah but it's probably just because the monsters are in the town eating the humans or hunting for them." James said.
"Griiee!" Was suddenly heard from behind.
As the two boys turned around they stood face to face with a group of 5 goblins. Each goblin had a small club with him.
"What do we do?" Brodin asked while he was shaking.
"We fight of course. These creatures are the same as small children." James said as he grabbed his bat.
He then charged at the goblins and swung his bat at them.
Four of them managed to dodge James' swing but the last one was hit in the head resulting in a cracked skull.
"Dude! You did it. You killed a goblin in real life." Brodin said.
"Yup, and now it is your turn. We can do this we know their weak spots and we know how to fight. It will be easy." James said.
"Alright let's go." Brodin said as he too charged at the goblins however Brodin had a knife in his hand and slashed at the goblins.
He hit one and gave it a pretty deep cut but it was not enough to kill the goblin. After that from behind, he was hit in the leg by one of the goblins with its club.
"Aargh. Oh, you're dead." Brodin yelled as he slashed at the goblin.
It was right beside him so Brodin easily slashed its throat. He then wanted to run to James to help him but his leg was hit pretty hard. He could still walk but he just needed to take it slow for a few seconds.
James was swinging his bat constantly and took out another goblin, but then the goblin that Brodin cut, hit the bat out of his hands.
"Alright, you wanna do it this way? Let's dance!" He said.
A goblin leaped up and wanted to scratch his face with its hand but then suddenly it flew away. When it hit the ground it was unconscious and had a dent in its face. James hit it with a fast and simple jab. After that, the other goblin jumped to do the same.
"Brodin get ready this one is coming to you." James said as he stood in a defensive stance.
He then threw out a right and the goblin was sent flying toward Brodin who stood ready with his knife. He slashed and with the momentum from James' punch and the swing from his arm he beheaded the goblin.
"Nice work." James said.
"Yeah, well it is as you said, We know every weak spot from the game and we were prepared." Brodin said.
"Okay, let's kill the last one to prevent it from coming back with backup, and then we'll keep searching for a dungeon." James said.
After that, they slashed the last goblin's throat. They also collected all their clubs. Because the wood that goblins made their clubs from was pretty much indestructible. So they took it in case they had a use for it sometime in the future.
They then continued to walk through the park in search of a dungeon.
