After the boys searched the entire cave they only found a little bit of loot which was mostly gold coins.
"Alright let's go, we got our loot the dungeon will probably close very soon." Brodin said.
"Alright let's go." James said and they both started walking toward the exit, when suddenly from behind they could hear some strange sounds.
As they both turned around they saw the back wall of the cave slide into the ground revealing another room. In this room, there was a strange altar with two strange orbs floating above it.
"What's that?" Brodin asked.
"Let's go find out." James said while he was walking toward the altar.
"There are two orbs you take one and then I'll also take one." James said as he tossed one of the orbs to Brodin.
"There is a weird button on the orb." Brodin said as he pressed it.
After he pressed it a holographic screen appeared in front of him.
"Woah." Brodin said.
"What is it?" James asked. He couldn't see the holographic screen that was now in front of Brodin.
"Press the button." Brodin said.
"Alright." James said and also pressed the button.
He had the exact same reaction as Brodin.
In front of both of them, there was a holographic screen. The text read: Champion select. With under it a start button. They both first discussed what they should do and eventually they decided to touch the start button. After that, a screen with all kinds of characters appeared and a search bar in the top left.
"These are all the champions from Heroes Dimension." Brodin said.
"Yeah, and it says to pick our hero." James replied
"Well, I'm gonna choose kair since that is the hero I play on my main account." Brodin said. "Are you going to choose Lander since he is your main as well?"
"Yeah probably." James said.
During the time that James answered Brodin was already on the character information screen.
Kair:
Tank-type hero
The dwarven blacksmith. Legend has it that Kair was one of the first dwarves to ever exist. He was the first to discover the art of smithing. Because of this, anything that can be created by forging can be created by him.
Extra ability: Smithing
As soon as Brodin touched the select button there was a strange glow around him and suddenly behind him, there was an illusory Kair.
"What the…." James said.
Brodin looked behind him and was shook.
"Holy crap, this is so cool." He said.
After that James immediately went to Lander his information screen.
Lander:
Attack dealing hero
Lander is the legendary hero who used only his spear to slay a thousand dragons in one night. He is one of the strongest people to ever exist.
Extra ability: None
As his finger was hovering over the select button he suddenly remembered something. The hero he used on his alt account. It was not the strongest hero but it was one with the most potential. It only came out in the last patch so mainly, only new players knew the hero.
'I wonder if they also have it here?' James thought to himself.
He went to the search bar and searched for the hero.
'Yes, they have it.' James thought as he went to the information screen
Arlok
No class
Arlok the clear spirit is one of the 7 spirits in Heroes Dimension. He is considered the weakest spirit because he has no connection to any element.
Extra ability: None
James then chose this hero.
Behind him, a faint image of a man appeared but it was barely visible.
"That is not Lander. Which hero is that?" Brodin asked.
"This is Arlok the clear spirit." James said.
"Never heard of it." Brodin said.
"That is because it came out only a month ago and nobody picked it because it seemed to be the weakest spirit to choose since it has no connection to any element whatsoever." James said.
"Then why did you pick him?" Brodin asked.
"Just because he has no connection doesn't mean he can't use it. I used this hero on my alt account and found out something incredible." James started to explain.
"What is it?" Brodin asked.
"This hero has a skill tree. He can learn any element and from level 10 onward he can materialize and also learn physical attacks. This champion may be useless early game but later on, this champion can be the strongest of all." James then further explained.
"Wow, how has no one found that out?" Brodin asked.
"I told you everyone thought it was a useless hero but now only you, I, and maybe a few other people know about the potential that Arlok possesses." James said.
"Okay, nice. Anyway, let's go back before this place collapses." Brodin then said.
"Okay, let's go"
After that, the two boys started to head for the exit of the dungeon. They first had to find their way back out of the maze of tunnels again. However this time they found the exit quite fast. After they exited the cave they made their way back to the dungeon entrance. The goblin corpses were all gone when they passed the wooden spears.
After they exited the dungeon they started walking home.
"Let's meet up tomorrow and figure out how these hero powers work." James said.
"Yeah, alright. I will try to go out during the day but otherwise, we have to sneak out again." Brodin said.
"Yeah, I get it. I have the same problem. How about we also scout someplace where we can make a stronghold or a base where we can go safely or we can let both of our families live there." James said.
"Yeah, that is a good idea. I'll see you tomorrow." Brodin said as he walked back home.
"Bye." James said and then turned around to walk back home.
