Sheylia's P.O.V
"My name is Sheylia, I'm 14 years old, and I have a little sister and two brothers," I say. The woman takes a sip of her orange juice before speaking.
"You have a very nice name, Sheylia," she sweetly says. "Now I should tell you about me, my name is Heather, I'm 62 years old, and I have a daughter who just turned 40."
"Well, nice to meet you and thanks again for helping me," I smile. She smiles back but then it falls showing a serious yet soft face.
"May I ask what happened to you?" Heather asks. I knew this was coming so in the shower I was preparing myself.
"Of course," I say as I shift me weight on my chair, trying to find a more comfortable position. "I won't go into full detail so I'll just tell you the gist of what happened." Heather nods.
"Yesterday I went to my friends house because her brother was having a game night and she didn't want to be alone, she didn't know who was coming though. We both found out that the person who has been sexually harassing me was going to be there, but I told her I would stay because he wouldn't do anything with people around, and I promised her I would come so I had to keep my promise," I pause. "When we were watching movies he was staring at me a lot and when everyone went to bed, or so I thought, I decided to go to the bathroom. When I was about to leave he, the bad guy, came in and-and...," I swallow a sob, "he assaulted me...."
Heather gasps and widens her eyes. She starts moving her hands towards mine but I pull them back and wipe my eyes before my tears fall.
"I left my friends house after that, it was probably around four or five in the morning. I didn't know where I was going I just let my feet take me wherever felt right, and then I bumped into you, sorry again," I say letting a long sigh.
It was quiet, no one talked so we just sat there in silence, she was probably taking in everything I said, I was waiting for her to speak.
I look down at my plate and play with the rest of my food.
"What do you want to do now?" Heather asked, looking me.
"I don't know..." my voice trailed off. "Can I borrow your phone? I left mine at my friends house."
"Oh sure," she replied. Heather gets up and disappears around the kitchen entrance. A few minutes later she comes back with a phone in her hand. "Here you are dear," she hands me the phone.
"Thank you!" I say as I run out of the kitchen and up the stairs.
Once I reached the room I was in earlier, I sit on the bed and type Mia's number on the phone screen.
"Hello?" Mia asked on the other line. "Who is this?"
"Hi, it's Sheylia," I say.
"OH MY GOD WHERE ARE YOU?! ARE YOU OKAY?! ARE YOU KIDNAPPED?! YOU LEFT YOUR PHONE, EVERYONE IS SCARED SHITLESS OVER HERE!!!" Mia screamed, making me move the phone away from my ear.
"Calm down! I'm not kidnapped, something happened and I left your house early in the morning, I bumped into an old lady who was kind enough to give me breakfast, I'm using her phone," I say.
"Oh thank god!!" Mia let's out a sigh of relief. "Is it okay if I come over?" She asked.
"Hold on let me ask her," I say as I leave the room and head downstairs. "Is it fine if my friend comes over?"
Heather was cleaning up the kitchen. "Yes of course!" She says.
I flash her a big smile.
"You can come over," I say to Mia.
"Okay tell me the address and I will be on my way," she says. I tell her the address then help Heather clean the kitchen.
*KNOCK* *KNOCK*
I open the front door and am immediately engulfed with a hug.
"Thank God you're safe..." Mia says into my neck. I hug her back before letting go. I then lead her to the living room where Heather was already sitting.
"Mia this is Heather, Heather this is Mia," I say introducing them.
"Hello, thank you for taking care of her, she is really precious to me, thank you," Mia says as she sits down.
"Oh she is just too sweet," Heather smiles.
"So, am I allowed to know why you left early in the morning?" Mia asks while turning her body towards me. I glance at Heather then down to my fidgeting fingers. I nod my head.
Mia burst into tears once she heard when had happened. Everyone started crying to be honest. Mia tightly wrapped her arms around my body.
"I'm so sorry Lia!" Mia cried between her sobs. My shoulder now soaked by her waterfall of salty tears. "It's all my fault!!" Mia sniffles. I sigh.
"Mia, stop blaming yourself...you didn't know..please," I say. Mia raises her head; hair stuck to her face, lips quivering, glossy red eyes, and a damp face.
"No, I have to make this right," Mia says, her shaking voice before was now gone.
"What? How?" I question.
"When we all woke up you were gone, obviously, but Lyde was gone too," Mia says. She pulls both her legs up and crosses them. "So, he must've fled somewhere, because he can go to jail for what he did and he probably realized that."
"Right," I say.
"So, where could he have gone?" Heather piped in.
"Well, he might've went back home but that's too easy, don't you think?" Mia says, clearly in deep thought.
"He might've went there thinking that we knew it was to obvious so we wouldn't go, so we should check there anyway," Heather says. We both nod in agreement.
"What do we do when we find him?" I ask.
"Bring him to the police, duh," Mia says.
"Shouldn't we tell the police so they can help us?" I ask.
"They won't help us look for him, they will only arrest him if he is brought to them," Mia states. I make an o shape with my mouth.
"Oh, I just remembered that I brought your phone, here you go," Mia says as she pulls it out of her pocket and hands it to me. I take it and turn it on, once it's on I'm met with a whole bunch of texts from my everyone. I decide to text my mom, real mom, then my friends or, other mom.
After I text my mom telling her that I'm okay and that I'm still with my friend, I text Will stating that I'm fine and he will know everything later. I let out a deep breathe.
"Okay should we go?" I question.
"Yes," Mia says.
We head towards the door but are stopped by Heather.
"I have a car, it would be quicker than walking," she says while holding her car keys up.
"Great!" Mia exclaims. We all enter Heather's little white car, I'm sitting in the front with Mia in the backseat. Heather starts the car and backs out of the driveway. I turn my phone on and text Lara.

"I texted Lara, she is also going to help look for him as well," I tell the others.
"Okay," Mia says.
About half an hour as past.
"Are the others looking as well?" I ask Mia.
"Yeah they are," she replies.
"Okay," I say while looking out my window.
