As the morning went on, Nathan and his band mates along with Cassie, Annie, Tom, Garrett and Lexie were relaxing with either one of the dressing rooms that the TV studio had given Fifth Avenue Square and Cassie. What the group didn't know what that not too far away from Fifth Avenue Square's dressing room Roxie was busy getting herself all glammed up for her TV interview. Since this was going to be her first ever interview on national television; Roxie wanted a look that was both sophisticated but also comfortable. So her stylist got her a patterned jumpsuit with some nude heels. As for her hair and make up look; Roxie wanted her hair in a half up, half down style and a more natural glam look. Once she was done and satisfied with her appearance; Roxie went to go show her whole outfit to Andrew.
"Ok; what do you think?" Roxie asked him.
"It looks nice; not necessarily what I would go for, but it works for now." Andrew replied.
"Too plain?"
"Just a bit, but hey; this is your first rodeo. So don't be so hard on yourself. You'll get the hang of it once you've done these type of interviews for a while. It just takes some practice and experience." Andrew reassured her.
"Yeah; two aspects that you have already that I don't. And now I feel like I'm going to embarrass myself even more thanks to what I'm wearing!" Roxie whined.
"Ok; it looks like your nerves are acting up again. I'm going to go see if I can find someone to bring you either some snacks, tea or just anything to keep you distracted. In the meantime; you just stay here and try to take some deep breaths." Andrew told her as he walked out of Roxie's dressing room. Once Andrew had left the dressing room; Roxie let out a long sigh and stared out the window.
"At least the view from here is somewhat decent," Roxie said under her breath. All of a sudden there was a knock on the door which made Roxie jump. "Come in." she replied.
As the door opened, Roxie was startled and surprised to see some familiar faces.
"Sorry; we thought this was-Roxie? Is that you?" Tom asked.
"Tom, Annie!" Roxie screamed. The three friends then ran and hugged each other. Roxie couldn't believe that both Tom and Annie were in her dressing room; let alone New York. From what Roxie had learned from Nathan and the other boys while she had stayed with them in the UK, Nathan's family never really joined the band on tour.
"I actually can't believe you guys are even here right now. How did this even happen in the first place? Do your parents even know that you're both in New York?" Roxie asked them.
"It's kind of a funny story; not that you've asked. Nathan, along with Paul, Calvin and Landon asked for both Tom and I to come along with them on their US press tour for the new album." Annie explained.
"Hold on; Nathan and the boys are here in New York with Cassie?"
"Yeah; and also Lexie and Garrett. Scott had to stay behind in London to take care of some business. Why?" Tom asked.
"Oh, no reason; really. I was just being curious." Roxie said.
"Well one thing for sure is that we all really missed you. Life hasn't been the same since you've left us." Annie stated.
"Aww; I've missed you guys too! Anyway; I know this might sound a bit strange but has Nathan been-you know." Roxie asked.
"From what we both know; all Nathan wants to do is just try to at least talk to you to see how you've been. Other than that; nothing else. Was there something important you wanted me and Annie to tell him?" Tom mentioned.
"No; knowing Nathan he probably just wants to reconnect." Roxie admitted. Then there was another knock on the dressing room door and this time it was one of the Early Morning Show's executive producers.
"Hi; sorry to interrupt. Roxie; we're ready for you." the producer stated.
"Great; I'll be right there," Roxie smiled. "Anyway; I really hoped to have spent more time with you both, but duty calls." she sighed.
"It's fine. At least we got to chat for a bit before you leave." Annie said as she hugged Roxie.
"I guess you're right. Anyway, wish me luck!" Roxie said as she waved goodbye and left the dressing room. Annie and Tom waved back and Roxie was on her way to make her first national television debut.
Back in Fifth Avenue Square's dressing room, Nathan was getting reckless and impatient. It had been about an hour or so since the boys had heard anything from either Lexie or any of the Early Morning Show's executive producers. And Nathan couldn't blame anyone at this point. The band's performance and interview were scheduled to happen in the second half of the show. Not to mention; most day time shows had live studio audiences that the producers had to please and entertain during commercial breaks that lasted 15-30 minutes at the most. Nathan just wished that things could go a bit quicker so he could have enough time to prepare himself for the evening dinner party later on tonight just in case he and the others ran into Roxie.
"That's it! I am bored out of my wits! I am going to get some fresh air." Nathan announced.
"You do that; you're not only going to get your own arse in trouble, but also Lexie." Paul mentioned.
"He's got a good point. We did just promise Lexie that WE we're all to be on our best behavior and now you want to ruin it because you can't stay inside a bloody dressing room?!" Calvin remarked.
"Look; it's not like I'm literally going to go outside and leave the building. All I'm doing is walking around the set, may be stop by the snack table and grab some crisps and water, watch a bit of the show and come back to the room before we've got to do our part. That should take me no more than 30 minutes." Nathan rebuked.
"We might as well let him go. If we don't all hell is going to break loose." Landon pointed out.
"Fine; but if you're leaving so are the 3 of us. If there's any chance of you behaving it's when someone's got a close eye on you." Paul informed Nathan. Nathan sighed and reluctantly agreed and then all four boys left the dressing room to go explore.
As they were walking around the studio; Nathan and the boys pulled some harmless pranks, messed around with some of the TV show's props and equipment and of course at their fill of the variety of snacks that was available on display at the refreshments table. Soon all four band mates were a bit tired so they decided to go watch a bit of the Early Morning Show's live production. At first, Nathan and his band mates didn't want to get recognized right away by their fans that were in the studio audience so they peaked behind one of the exits to get a good view of the show's taping.
"Is there anyone that we know who's going to be on the show today?" Landon asked his band mates.
"You know; I'm not entirely sure about that, Landon. I was planning on asking either Lexie or Garrett that this morning at breakfast, but it slipped my mind." Paul stated.
"Well whoever it is; they're getting a bloody mouthful from a whole bunch of producers and camera crew right now." Nathan pointed out.
"Well, that could only mean one thing chaps; the first guest on the show is a rookie." Calvin said.
"Great; now we're going to be here even longer!" Nathan grumbled.
"Oh; I wouldn't give up hope just yet mate." Landon said.
"Why; what do you see?" Paul asked. The other 3 boys then quickly peaked over to see what Landon was talking about and to their surprise all four boys saw the one person they never thought they would see that morning.
"Is that-?" Calvin asked.
"That can't be..." Paul gulped.
"Roxie?"
