Chapter 15 - Chapter 14

Meanwhile at the Plaza Hotel; Garrett and Tom were in Fifth Avenue Square's hotel room with Nathan and his band mates trying to find appropriate outfits for the band to wear at Roxie's evening dinner party at Angelo's. So far Paul, Calvin and Nathan had a general idea of what they wanted to wear to the dinner party. As for Landon, however; most of his outfits choices were a bit too casual.

"Are you sure this outfit will look decent on me?" Landon asked the others while he was changing in the bathroom.

"Mate; out of the four of us, the press and fans say that I'm the 'best dressed' in the band. I think you'll be fine with what I chose for you to wear at dinner." Calvin reassured him.

"Alright if you say so," Landon sighed. Landon then came out of the restroom and walked over to where the other boys were waiting for him. "Ok; what do you lads think?" he asked.

"I like it. The polo brings out your eyes." Tom pointed out.

"You do realize that you have been saying that same statement for the past 15 minutes, right." Paul mentioned.

"What's wrong with that? Tom really liked how the color of that shirt brings out Landon's green eyes! It's just a compliment." Nathan remarked.

"Alright, easy does it; we don't want to cause another rift between the four of you after you boys have finally started to work together again. Now I think we can all agree the outfit combination Landon has on right now looks great and that we're all exhausted," Garrett said as he tried to ease the tension in the room. "Landon; why don't you choose the outfit that you like best and once you've made your choice leave it where your band mate's outfits are being placed. In the meantime; I'm going to my room to either take a 30 minute nap or order something from room service." he added as he walked out of the hotel room.

"Looks like somebody needs a drink." Nathan chuckled.

"Tell me about it. He almost reminded me of you whenever something didn't go your way or you were annoyed with all of us after we've finished our daily promotions for the day." Paul recalled.

"Speaking of daily promotions; Nathan's solo act to Roxie during a commercial break at the Early Morning Show is going viral on social media right now. " Tom said as he was looking at his cell phone. The other boys then walked over to where Tom was sitting and watched a video clip of Nathan's performance to Roxie earlier that day on set of the Early Morning Show.

"At least this is better press than a photo of your naked arse running around some neighborhood at 1 in the morning." Calvin stated.

"I can't believe I'm actually going to say this but I totally agree," Nathan chuckled. "You lads should have seen the way Roxie's face lit up while I was singing to her. It was like magic." he added.

"Hold on; you don't think Roxie still has feelings for you, right? You guys barely started to talk again!" Paul remarked.

"Honestly; I don't really know and trust me I'm not going to rush into getting back together with Roxie. That would be insanely reckless let alone stupid. It's just when I was performing; that connection Roxie and I developed all those months ago was still there. I could feel it." Nathan explained.

"Mate; even if the connection between you and Roxie is still there, don't you think it'd be best for you and Roxie to start over and just be friends? I mean we don't even know if she feels the same way about you." Calvin suggested.

"Calvin has a good point. You and Roxie haven't seen let alone spoken to each other in 6 months. Now it's great that you guys have at least started to reconnect again, but given the time frame of how long it took the both of you to get to this point in this relationship, there may be some changes that could have happened since then." Tom explained.

"What; you lads think that Roxie is currently dating some bloke right now?" Nathan chuckled.

"Nathan; has Roxie ever mentioned the name Fifth Avenue Boy to you while she was staying with us at the house?" Paul asked.

"Yeah; from time to time. From what she's told me he's some guy who was a fan of her writing. What does that have to do with my relationship with Roxie?"

"Ok; don't freak out with what we're about to tell you, but when Annie was here in New York visiting Roxie; she saw Roxie with some guy and Annie believes that the guy Roxie was with was Fifth Avenue Boy." Tom said.

"Well; I'm sorry to break it to you boys but whoever that guy was he wasn't Fifth Avenue Boy." Nathan stated as he got up from where he was sitting.

"Wait; you actually know who this Fifth Avenue Boy is?" Calvin asked.

"Yeah; and I even know what he looks like too," Nathan sighed. "You see; I am Fifth Avenue Boy." he said as he turned to look at the others.

"Please tell me this is all just a joke and that you are not being serious." Paul pleaded.

"Paul; I don't think Nathan is joking about what he just told us." Calvin gulped. All of a sudden Landon walked back into the room and the other boys became very quiet.

"Whoa; what happened in here? Did somebody die?" Landon said sarcastically.

"Literally speaking; no, but if we're talking figuratively, then yes." Tom stated.

"Did I miss something?"

"Basically we were all talking about Nathan's whole performance to Roxie that happened this morning and the possible affect it could cause to both Nathan and Roxie feelings wise. And then Paul here thought it'd be a marvelous idea to ask Nathan about Fifth Avenue Boy which in turn leaves us to the surprising revelation that our own band and friend, Nathan Hendrickson; is in fact Fifth Avenue Boy himself." Calvin retorted.

"Wow; that was so moving. You deserve a standing ovation for that amazing speech." Nathan rebuked.

"Honestly Nathan, do you have any idea of how this looks for us? You just reconnected with the one person you had feelings for AND mind you dated for about 2 months who by the way is the same girl who practically spent 3 months to not only find a bloody publisher, but to also meet some bloke that was created by the one person she developed feelings for while living with us!" Paul shrieked.

"Look; I get it alright! The fact that I am Fifth Avenue Boy is by far the most ridiculous tricks that I have ever done and I'm sorry if what I'm telling you lads is going to be a huge issue for the band. But if I'm going to be honest; when I created Fifth Avenue Boy, I didn't think I was going to develop this unique bond that I developed with Roxie." Nathan admitted.

"Wait a minute; I thought you developed a connection with Roxie while she was staying with the four of you. Are you saying that the connection you developed for Roxie started before she lived with you?" Tom asked.

"The main reason I created Fifth Avenue Boy was because I wanted it to be another outlet to escape from being in the spotlight besides getting drunk at some pub or night club. I didn't want to go the whole social media account route because I knew there was going to be a chance the fans were going to find out that I'm Fifth Avenue Boy. So my only option was to create a made up fan fiction account on some writer's website and it was there that I found Roxie's account and the next thing I knew I was having deep honest conversations with some girl who didn't care about who I was or what I did for a living," Nathan explained. "I know I should have deleted and gotten rid of the account the next day, but a part of me just felt that it wouldn't be right to deactivate something so stupid after knowing that there are some people in the world who truly care about a person's well being." he added.

"Nathan; it's great that you used that as an outlet, but don't you think you owe it to yourself to at least tell Roxie Fifth Avenue Boy's true identity?" Landon suggested.

"Landon has a good point. If you keep at it with this whole secret identity; it's going to cause major issues and backlash with your reconnection with Roxie." Calvin stated.

"Even if I did tell Roxie about me being Fifth Avenue Boy, she's not only going to reconnect with me. She'll probably hate me and would never want to see or talk to me ever again!" Nathan argued.

"We know and we understand that this is going to be a hard pill to swallow. But if you want this reconnecting plan with Roxie to work; you've got to be completely honest about everything, and that includes you being Fifth Avenue Boy." Paul told him. Nathan knew deep down that his band mates and Tom were right. If Nathan was planning on reconnecting with Roxie; he had to be upfront and honest about everything even if what it meant that some of the truth was going to hinder Nathan and Roxie's relationship. Nathan just hoped that Roxie could see that Nathan was still that same person who had saved her all those months ago.
