Chapter 4 - The woman and the twins

Daiken P.O.V

God why did I have to talk to him in such a rude manner Daiken thought as his switched off his black flip phone. "Sorry about that, I'm home" Daiken said to the picture of the beautiful woman. The woman in the picture had brown hair and confident eyes. She was a splitting image of Daiken. RING RING RING rang the door bell of the quite, ghastly house. Ahhh... They are back.

As Daiken walked through his empty, dark corridor towards the door the floor boards creaked and made a sort of poping sound. The door bell rang a again for the third time. "I'm coming!" Yelled Daiken. "God why are ya so slow Aniki?" A small voice said from outside as he put his hand on the door nob and turned it. As the door opened it reveled two tiny children who were almost identical. "Wow Aniki you took like for ever just to walk to the door." Said the short, long haired girl. "I did not take so long. I was talking to Mom." Daiken replied as the twins walked into the house. Going to school at their older brother's old school Izumitate Middle School they were still in there school uniform. "Why couldn't you open the door?" Daiken asked. "Aika, and I had to bring this project with us." The little boy said who carrying a huge box in his hands. "Tadaima" The two short, twin children yelled into the house.

Although the two quite identical at a closer inspection a person can find many difference between the two. Aika, the female of the two was sort of tan, long light brown hair and dark brown eyes. Aika is sporty looking just like her older brother Daiken. She is a charismatic, jovial and talkative person. Her twin brother on the other hand is the complete opposite of her. Haru has fair skin, slender shaped, jet black hair and light brown eyes. He is the quiet one out of the two. Haru doesn't like sports much, very shy, restraint and cautious in what ever he does.

'I love my siblings. That is some what close to what I'm trying to find. I think. Aika and Haru were practically babies when she died and he left us. They supported me in anything and everything I did. That is one kind of love that I found after all these years of searching.'

"Welcome home Aika and Haru." The older one said in reply with a wide smile while taking their project into his hands. "By the way are you two having anything planned for tomorrow? I have go to Kunimichi's house to check on a suit that I need for my high school graduation party." Daiken questioned as he placed the project on top the dining table. "Nope, we just have a mountain load of homework which is due Monday that's all. Oh we might also have volleyball practices too sometimes." Aika replied. Haru just nodded along. "Oh. Do you guys wanna join me?" Daiken asked again. "I don't think that Kunimichi would mind." "Nah, Thanks Aniki." Aika said before turning towards her brother. "Haru do you want to go?" She asked. "I-If A-Aika isn't going I don't want to either." He replied quietly. '

In any decision that either of them have to make they always ask the other if they want to do so. It's cute.'

Daiken said to himself with a small, mute laugh. "Ok then. What do the two of you want for dinner?" Daiken asked. "I'D LIKE SOME MEAT PLEASE." Aiko yelled. "Um...I would like some noodles please." Haru mumbled which was audible. '

Exceeeppppttt~~ when it comes to food.'

"OK then meat with noodles how bout that?" Daiken inquired. The two nodded synchronizing. "Then why don't the two you go shower while I make dinner?" He continued.

'If Aiko and Haru weren't there I don't know what I'd do. I'd probably be still depressed that I lost her. Dad just ran away. Did he love her? But if he just ran does that mean that he never thought of giving his love to Mom? I can't call him my father anymore.'

"Aniki, Do you need any help?" a quiet whisper was heard and a small tug on to his pants near Daiken's knee while he was washing the vegetables. It was Haru in his navy blue kitten pajamas. "Ahh, Haru you done with your bath?" Daiken asked. "Also, I'd would love some help from the finest chef in the block." He said with a wide grin across his tanned face. "Yup Aika Ane-san is in the bath right now." Haru replied in his usual small toned voice but this time he was smiling because of his big brother's compliment towards him. "I'm not as good as you Aniki." Haru continued with a wide smile than before.

'Maybe I have got the wrong idea for love after Mom died but I am so scared that even when during my first year in KIS a girl in my grade confessed to me and I almost immediately ran away. Guess I'm just coward when it comes to love.'

"Ano...A-Aniki?" asked the soft spoken, tiny boy. He was so small that he only reached the 5'11 boy's waist. "Yes Haru?" asked the taller, older boy who was putting the chopped vegetables into a pot. "Anik while walking ho-" the shorter boy was cut off by the sudden dash across the hall and when the door opened reveling a girl in the same pajamas as her brother but with swapped colors and messy hair. "HARU!! YOU PROMISED!!!" She yelled from the door. She then hurriedly walked to her younger brother and pulled him by the hand. The two of them dashed to the living as soon as the door closed. "What was that?" Daiken questioned himself as he stood there in shock.

'What are they hiding from me? The two of them never leave anything from me. It must be serious then. Dang... Now I feel left out' Daiken thought as he turned to complete making dinner.
