"Huh? who's in love?" Daiken said to his communicating device which he threw onto the bed when he entered the room.
"Whoa, Daiken you were listening to this whole time?" Said a sweet voice that had a hint of embarrassment and surprise in it. Smiling to himself Daiken said, "Ye~a you were on speaker." He said in a calm, well-modulated voice to Kousaki on the other side.
"Haha, it's nothing. A-anyway where were we? Ah yes! The suit." Kousaki said who was trying his best to hide that he is blushing by diverting the subject. "I don't have one either. So I'm going to Kunimichi's house tomorrow to check on the one he has." Daiken replied which ended with a short yawn.
Chuckling Kousaki said "Seems like somebody's tired. So why don't you go to sleep? Hm? We did have volleyball so cap~tain Dai~ken must be ve~ry tired. I'll call you later Oki?" Shiro continued. "May~be I'll ask Atsushi if he has something that would fit me."
"OK then see you later vi~ce cap~tain Shiro~gane." Daiken said to Kousaki before saying "Good~night." "Good night," Shiro replied. Thinking he cut the end call button a small yawn escaped and the usually mature voice which was now hoarse because he was half asleep, Daiken whispered "Goodnight, love you".
Deep asleep little did Daiken know that he almost killed a man while he accidentally confessed his love.
"No. NO. NO MA! DON'T LEAVE ME! I DON't want to be alone anymore." *hic* "Huh? Who's voice is this? Sounds kinda familiar." Daiken said as he regained consciousness. "Please. come back... *sob* I'm scared. Ple...please *hic* c...co....come back." Continued the voice in his head.
Getting up from the place he was lying and following that voice. "I'm tired of all this."*sob* "Forgive me Onee-san. *hic* I wish I was never born." Said the same voice but in a little bit mature.
As Daiken walked towards it he noticed that the place he was walking through was getting darker and darker. Approaching a boy who was crouching while covering his head Daiken noticed that as the little boy's screams got louder his space was getting more and more pitch black.
"I WISH THE WHOLE WORLD WOULD JUST DIE!!" Screamed the boy in a hysteric, angry voice before Daiken was forced out of his slumber. Breaking a cold sweat Daiken woke up with start, screaming.
Getting out of bed and running his hands around his face to calm himself down from the nightmare that he can barely remember. While questions about the bits and pieces that he can remember swirled around his head, he walked to the bathroom to freshen up to go to Kunimichi's house. As he went to the toilet sink to brush his teeth, he yelled "My hair!?!"
'For most people love is a blessing. You feel cherished, adored, and like your the best thing in the world. But to people like me..... It's a different story for us. Love is like a drug. It's very addicting. After you feel it once you can't get enough of it.'
"Aniki?!?" two voices belonging to two adorable children who were in distress came running. "Are you ok??" The said in unison. "What happ- ANIKI! your hair!!"
Going over to their big brother to take a closer look at it. Aika touched the silver patch of hair that covered parts of Daiken's short, brown locks.
Loud big thumps came towards them then popped in the head of their dear uncle whose face showed panic and alarm. "Daiken? What hap- Holy cannoli!"
Slowly walking towards Daiken from the bathroom doorway Fujiwara gave Daiken a big, long, tight hug and said "Congratulations Son!" in an exzilarated voice.
Confused Daiken just stood awkwardly waiting till his uncle was done hugging him. "So? Who's the lucky girl?" he asked leaving his hugging position and hold Daiken by the shoulders.
Even more confused Daiken bombarded him with questions. "Girl? For what? Do you know why my hair is like this?"
'For people like me we aren't exactly excited about the concept of love. One reason maybe because our notion of love had been shattered at a young age. I respect other's opinions on it but mine is that love is scary and unsure. It may be able to mend a hurting heart or shatter a working soul.... just like what happened to Okasa.'
"Ahh, Yes. I forgot." Uncle Fujiwara said sheepishly grinning. "Finish washing up come meet me downstairs in the living room, you guys too."
He continued before leaving the three of them to wonder into more confusion. "It's ok Aniki. Don't worry."
Aika said while Haru hugged his older brother's leg. Smiling and patting the two small children on their heads he motioned them out and closed the door of the toilet.
Sinking down to the cold, hard bathroom floor, he put his hands over his head and tried to process everything that happened. Recollecting his thoughts he got up took a deep breath, held it in collecting all negative energy and exhaled it all out.
Waiting downstairs was a jubilant uncle Fujiwara and two very puzzled twins. "Come sit Daiken. Come sit." Fujiwara said overjoyed to see his nephew whom he treats like his own son. Sitting down on the couch between his beloved siblings and uncle, Daiken waited impatiently for his uncle to start.
"Have you heard the myth about soulmates?" Fujiwara started. Shaking their heads Daiken and the twins answered "Nope". He then proceeded. "Ok. since the dawn of time humans have been searching for the meaning to life. Legends talks about a red string of fate. This red string is usually intertwined along one's pinky finger and entaled to your soulmate's pinky. It can get tangled, stretch for miles but can never be broken. As the years went by the red string changed form. For some people it's in the form of a marking like a tattoo or a timer which usually shows the time the two would meet at. Sometimes a person becomes heterochromatic or both their eye colors change. And for others...." Astonished Daiken and Fujiwara said in unision "It's with the change in hair colour."
'Yup.... Destiny can be cruel.'
