Turning towards the shaky, old voice Kousaki responded "I'm home, Sora."
"Talking to them as always I see." She said.
The old lady had thick, strong navy blue hair which was disrupted by white hair which was seen in a few places.
Walking past Shiro to the big Japanese door that he came in through, She closed it and switched on the light which was bright and illuminated the whole room.
"You're wearing that again? You know your inside why do you need to use that voice? Was it another weird customer or the same crazy one?" He asked as he followed her to the kitchen as she answered his question.
"I just came home." She said in her original smooth voice. "Yeah, it was the same one. He keeps coming although there is nothing wrong with him. So freaking annoying!" She said now sounding like a middle-aged lady and waving her hand around. "I ain't the greatest shamen just for people to look at! He only comes to look at me! And he doesn't do anything I tell him to. If you want that ghoul to stop taunting you put the freaking talisman that I give you under your pillow!!" she said continuing to whine as Shiro kept snickering to himself.
"Want me to get you an assistant? It might be better than doing it yourself." Shiro said as they parted ways, Shiro went to the Kitchen while Sora went down another dark, eery corridor to a room.
Taking the contents and ingredients out of the shopping bag that he brought with Okami, Shiro opened the black bulky fridge which had a beautiful sakura tree on the side of the door. After putting in the items which need to be frozen and then bringing out the ones that are needed for dinner, Shirogane went towards a cabinet to seek out a chopping board, a few bowls, and a knife. Finding them he came across a hidden box at the far end of the cupboard. Putting out the items he needed on the counter he pulled out the suspicious box. In it contained many empty cans of beer and another smaller box which was decorated in seashells and glitter. Just as he was about to open the suspicious box, the door opened from which his grandmother went in. Freezing like a deer caught in front of headlights, Shiro quickly kept away what he found back inside the cupboard.
"S-So how did you deal with that guy?" He asked trying to pretend and divert his attention to the food he was cooking as well as his grandmother.
Out came a lady who had short, wavy, dark blue hair which had a small patch of silver. she had a towel around her neck and wore casual clothes.
"Ahh. Finally, it feels better out of those clothes." She said as she walked down the now very lit corridor. "Haha, I told him that I-" stopping in her tracks she pointed to Kousaki with a very shocked face. "KOUSAKI YOUR HAIR!!" She screamed.
'Although we are free to love whomever we want... Destiny will always have other plans.'
"Huh? What about it?" He questioned touching around his head.
Running back to her room and coming out with a mirror, Sora shoved it onto his hands. Looking around his head with the mirror he shrieked. There was a patch of brown on his luscious, thick silver hair. It ran across the front of his side bangs.
"What the- How could this happen?!" He said while panicking. "I-I still have more time right? I have a few more years why is it happening now?"
Putting the mirror on the counter next to the barely finished cut vegetables, Shiro sunk down to the floor and put his hands on his face.
"Why now?" He kept asking himself when he felt a cold touch onto his skin. Slowly looking up to it he saw Sora hugging him tightly.
"Calm down Kousaki. Take a deep breath. It's gonna be alright. Onee-San's got you." She kept saying comforting words pacifying him.
"Maaya sweety." Sora said out loud to the empty space in front of her." can you get our Kousaki a glass of water, Please?"
Popping out in front of them was a translucent blue spirit. They looked relatively human but with different shades of blue. It wore a white tattered dress, cuffs, and chains which were attached to them. With a ghastly voice, it bowed as it said "Yes Madam. I'll be right with you." It then disappeared just as fast as it appeared.
'Ever since we were kids after mother left us Onee-San and gramma looked after me. 'Nee-San studied under gramma and became a shaman at an early age. Right after she had the ability to see ghosts, souls, and spirits clearly. I can only see their body but not their features.'
"I'm back Madam. I put some ice in as well." The spirit that disappeared, came forth again. She continued in her slow grim voice which made it difficult to not be afraid of "If there is nothing else I'll take my leave. Excuse me."
"Hey, Onee-San how did you feel when got it?" Shiro asked from inside his covered face. "did it freak you out too?"
"Well~," Sora Onee-San said putting a comforting hand on top of Shirogane's head. Leaning her head against him she continued "I was super freaked out. I was so scared that I was going to have to love someone whom I didn't even know. Also at that time, I got my first crush. I thought, "Alright you and me destiny! Let's fight." I was so ready to fight it and claim the love I want and not what destiny would give."
'At a specific age, every person gets their assigned marking. Sometimes it's like a tattoo or something on the body other times it's something that connects us to the person we would love. It's a connection to our soulmate.'
