"Heya Daiken bout the suit." a medium sized boy with smooth, even toned porcelain skin and a unique, small beauty mark said to the other person through his lavender gray smartphone. Taking out his crimson red, neatly folded ear phones which were in side a small case, he plugged it to his phone as he waited for the person on the other side who was his best friend Daiken to reply. "Yeah? What about?" Daiken said. He sounded like he was far away from him phone. There was a loud slam which resonated like a door. Ignoring his flinch Shiro continued his conversation. "I don't think I have a suit. What should I do?" Shiro asked in a whiny voice. He might have not shown it but he was secretly hoping that his thick headed crush would get the idea that he wants to go shopping with him and to spend the weekend together. "Sorry Shiro give me a minute. Haru needs some help" Daiken excused himself before putting the call on hold.
As Shiro was walking down the city he noticed a couple who were arguing. The lady got so furious she slapped the guy across his face. She turned and walked the opposite direction. "Wonder if they were in love... May be cheated on her." Shiro muttered to himself. "Who's in love?" questioned a voice which made Kousaki jump from where he was standing. "Woah, Daiken you were listening this whole time?" He asked to the small piece of plastic which was the microphone. "Ye~a. I mean you are on speaker. Hehe." Said the calm, well modulated voice on the other side. "Haha it's nothing. A-anyway where were we? Ah yes! The suit." Kousaki said trying his best to hide that he is blushing by diverting the subject. "I don't have one either. So I'm going to Kunimichi's house tomorrow to check on the one he has." Daiken replied which ended with a short yawn. Chuckling Kousaki said "Seems like somebody's tired. So why don't you go to sleep. Hm? We did have volleyball so cap~tain Dai~ken must be ve~ry tired. I'll call you later oki?" Shiro continued. "May~be I'll ask Atsushi if he has something that would fit me." "OK then see you later vi~ce cap~tain Shiro~gane." Daiken said before saying "Good~night." to Shiro. "Bye~." As Shiro was about to cut the call right before he clicked the end call button a small yawn exscaped and the usually mature voice which was now hoarse because he was half asleep, Daiken whispered "Goodnight, love you". Soon as they were said Kousaki ripped his earphones from his phone and ears as fast he could. His face was bight red which made it very visible because of his porcelain skin. Yelling the words "OMFG DID HE JUST CONFESS??" loudly in his head he ran as fast as he could through the streets.
'I have been told by many people that I fall in love very fast. But.....My relationships never last long. In most of them, my partner never actually loves me. It's the usual three reasons he just wants to know how it feels to be in a relationship with another guy, he was just lonely and I was an easy, convenient target or he just wants to make his ex jealous '
Throwing his phone and earphones which were now tangled up into his shopping bag bolted through the city. He ran so fast that he didn't notice anything around him. The fast moving cars, the bustling, ancient buildings that had people walking up and down in crowds. Losing his breath he stopped and squatted down earning the attention of the passerby. Shiro's face began to moisten and tears started to fall slowly. Wiping them away vigorously he took out his phone to check the time which was half past seven, kousaki walked towards the train station. By looking at the time he knew that the station would be relatively empty but the train was quite bright although it had a flickering light in the far corner, empty and lonely with very few people scattered individually in benches. Shiro took a bench next to the sliding doors. Sitting down, he rested his head back against the glass window and pondered over what Daiken said over the phone.
'Tomoe always blames that I get heart broken easily because of my fear of not being loved and my abandonment issues. But I always think that maybe some day I'll be loved for me. Not because I'm convenient or that I'm easily swayed when someone says those magical words.'
"You have arrived at station number 8 in..." the intercom said but without listening to it Shirogane got up and stood in front of the doors until it slid open. Giving out a long sigh Shiro slowly walked towards the exit of the station. Looking at the time on his phone which showed that it was eight o'clock. Trying his best not remember what is crush said to him he diverted his attention to what he would cook for dinner. Passing the now not so busy street he walked towards a pedestrian crossing/crosswalk and pressed the button which was under the traffic lights. Figuring out that he would make rice, nori which is dried seaweed and vegetables he crossed the road when the light turned red stopping the fast moving cars.
'Every time I get a crush on someone I always think that maybe that person would love me. Quite narcissistic of me in my opinion of myself. During volleyball practice I try my best to get close to Daiken so that he would notice me but I never expected to become Vice-captain. That was quite uncalled for since it meant that I could get even closer to him I didn't mind it.'
Shiro passed over the bridge which had a calm river flowing under it. He passed the local market which were usually open but some were closed now. The baker was putting down the shutter when he noticed Shiro. "Hey there Shirogane." the tall, plump, ginger man said waving towards him. "Good evening Mr. Jones." He replied in a polite tone.
Walking towards an old Japanese styled house which had big wooden windows and humongous mahogany door which had symbols filling it. Pushing open the door soon as kousaki stepped into the place a neat line of statues were present. The statues lead towards a white, well lit house.
Removing his shoes kousaki opened the first door in front of him. "I'm home" he yelled inside. Walking to a medium sized, Japanese styles cabinet he got down on both knees and sat down on a cushion which was before the cabinet. Opening the cabinet, it contained white roses, newly lit incense sticks and two framed pictures. The picture on the right side showed a picture of a man dressed in a black Shiromuku Kimono and a white fukuro obi around his waist. Although the picture was old you can make out that he had a bight, wide smile which showed his white teeth. His eyes sparkled as if to show that he was the happiest man in the world. The second picture had was another man. He was well built, a bit tan and wore huge circular glasses which made his face look a little round. He wore a beige shirt and navy blue jeans. He too had a wide smile but it didn't show his teeth. The feature of that man were similar to the other man in the previous framed picture.
Closing his eyes and placing is hands together, Shiro said "Good evening Oji-San, Oto-San. I'm home. Missing you guys so much. Sometimes it's so lonely without you two." Slowly caressing the frames he got up and closed the doors of the cabinet. "ahh Kousaki-Chan welcome home." Said a shaky voice behind him.
