My class was released just a few minutes earlier than the bell to head to lunch. I decided to rush over to the snack bar first before anyone else, and thank god I did because before I knew it there was already a line of 10 people behind me when the bell rang. I settled on getting a chicken sandwich with a cookie. I got out of line and headed over to the designated meeting area Haru picked.

The garden wasn't far from the cafeteria or the field. It was a chunk of the field that was secluded by trees and hedges. The gardening club tended to it fairly often, and my floral arrangement class came here pretty often as well. It was a fairly big space. There was room for a shed in the back of the garden for the club, space for a small class to take place, and the rest just being gorgeous scenery. There were benches and paths throughout the garden. You wouldn't think this would be at a normal high school, but the gardening club was seemed to be very dedicated to keep it nice.

I wandered around a bit. The garden itself was a bit full of lush trees and colorful and fragrant flowers. I just happened to notice the flax brown-haired male sitting under a blooming tree. If I didn't know Haru I definitely would've mistaken him as a model. The sun's rays shining through the spaces between the leaves, caressing his face. And the well-tended flowers behind the tree made it seem like some type of magazine cover.

I approached him with my meal in hand. He noticed me and stood up facing my direction.

"Sorry I left you all alone. My class ended earlier so I just came by myself, I wasn't sure if I should've gone looking for you or not. Glad you made it here though." He said scratching the back of his neck.

"Ha, it's ok." I replied awkwardly. We both sat down right across from one another. Haru's back was against the tree while I was sitting crisscross a few inches away. Haru had taken a sketch pad and a pencil out of his backpack. I heard the faint sound of the graphite of the pencil softly colliding the page. I sat silently for a few seconds before picking up my sandwich from my tray. I munched on my sandwich as I watched him move his pencil. All that could be heard at the moment was his pencil, the wind, and the very faint sound of the little water fountain in the garden.

I had finished my sandwich a little while ago. My hands were now behind me grasping the cool grass supporting me up. I felt myself sweat from the rising temperature. All of a sudden the pencil's noises stopped, and a flick of a paper was heard. I looked at the vet to Haru. Looked like he was finished with whatever he was drawing. I got up and walked over to him.

"What did you draw?" I looked at him full of curiosity, slightly tilting my head. He put down his pencil and flipped his sketch pad to face me. He had drawn me eating. It was pretty good, but out of all things he decided to draw...

"Looks pretty good." I complimented, giving a small smile. "You sure you aren't making art?" I joked. From there we had our small conversation about classes, the weather, and food.

We decided to leave the garden 5 minutes before the bell rang. We walked side by side on the path, of course giving each other our respective space. It was an enjoyable walk until I noticed Kyllie and her boyfriend sitting on a nearby bench. Kyllie and I have gotten pretty close. She made eye contact with me and gave me a smug look. I felt my face heat up the slightest, I knew exactly what she was hinting. I rolled my eyes and looked ahead walking out of the garden.

Passing Period

The first thing I got when I walked towards my locker was a huge smack on my back. My response was turning and slapping the hand away. It was Kyllie, her expression was confused but it faded into excitement.

"So, who's the guy?" She whispered while she jabbed her elbow into my rib cage.

"Just a new friend." I responded unbothered.

"Uh-huh. Yes, friend." She said smugly giving me the same expression from earlier. And I rolled my eyes at the response. I made my way to my last period of the day, shrugging off her gaze.

Time Skip to Amai at home

It is currently 8 pm. The repairman came by after school to fix my window. The police already took samples, photos, and evidence before the clean-up. I finally had a bathroom to bathe in once again. I pulled out an oversized hoodie and shorts then headed over to my bathroom. I made sure the blinds on the bathroom window were closed, then started up the bath.

I placed down my clothing on the counter. I popped in a bath bomb I had in the cabinet. I then undressed throwing my dirty clothes into a small basket. I hopped into the warm scented bath. I melted into relaxation, my muscles became loose and I let out a relieved breath. I rested my head on the bath's edge and closed my eyes.

I had already hopped out of the bath. Dried off, got pampered, then clothed myself. I ate my cup of ramen for dinner and cleaned around the apartment. I secured my windows and locked my doors. I opened my bed revealing my clean sheets. I turned off the light and moved towards my window. I spied for anything suspicious in the bottom right corner of the window, being the staircase to the apartments, before confirming no one was there. I sighed in relief and hopped into my bed. I watched the latest episode of The Promised Neverland before drifting off to sleep.
