Daechul ended up listening to his mother's advice and took his sisters outside to play, as it was a lovely day. The sun was gracing them with warm atmosphere and the breeze of summer winds kissed their smiling faces. In that moment, he forgot who he was, and all his burdens seemed so insignificant. The twins brought his playful nature on the surface, and the three of them were ready to play until they couldn't anymore.
He gossiped with them about their school mates, pushed the swings and played hide and seek. The boy smiled and laughed so much his cheeks hurt, and Jun even called him a bunny.
Busan was such a nice change to a bustling Seoul. It was a big city, but so much calmer and laid back, than the capital, and Daechul felt oddly calm, even though he mainly got back for business. Even if that was the case, there was no denying that he adored his siblings, and would gladly spend some quality time with them.
By the time the girls collapsed on the soft grass, whining of being tired, the sun was just starting to set. He carried them home again, and went to shower, washing all the sweat and dirt away.
Just as he stepped into his old room to dress up, his phone rang. The screen flashed with Kimoon's name. Daechul lazily picked up the call.
"Hi, Moon, what's up?"
"Hey, Dae, I know you are probably busy with your family, but my father asked you to come over for a bit. Just to catch up, you know." Won Doyun was a family friend. When Sungwoon was still alive, both men ran the business together and were the best of friends. In a way, Doyun could relate to Daechul, because just as Sungwoon, his wife Dara was murdered when Kimoon was only three. Doyun was like a second father to Daechul.
"Yes, of course, I want to see him too. And it's okay. I have a few hours until Junghyun comes back from his date anyway", Daechul put his friend on speaker and started to dress up.
"A date, huh?", laughed Kimoon.
"I'll tell you later", grumbled the man.
"Okay then. I'll see you in a few?"
"Yeah, give me an hour", nodded Daechul.
After the call Daechul finished getting ready and left his room.
He found his mother, sisters and stepfather in a living room, the four of them watching some kind of animated movie, and loudly talking. At moments like these Daechul was thankful for Siwon, as weird as it sounded. He made his family happy again. And he hadn't seen his mother so happy in such a long time.
"I'm going to Kimoon's. Be back before that brat of a brother comes home", joked.
Maya chuckled and nodded, the twins too engrossed into the movie to even notice the brief interaction.
His and stepfather's eyes briefly met up, and they nodded to each other. Daechul quickly left the room wanting to escape the awkward atmosphere.

Warm evening air waved through the open window of Daechul's Range Rover and messed up his hair as he drove through the busy streets of his home town. Sun was almost set, and Daechul thought that this summer was one of the most beautiful. It no longer left a sour taste in his mouth. After all, his father was killed in June.
Now, after five years, he was starting to accept the life he was meant to live. It no longer hurt to breath thinking about leading the gang. But that doesn't mean that the killer will be spared. Their long and painful death will make the man greatly satisfied and finally calm.
Lost in his thoughts, Daechul took a turn and drove through the gates of the friend's house.
Just as he was going to kill the engine, some kind of blow jostled the whole car and the loud collision sound could be clearly heard. Someone crashed their car into his.
Without wasting any time, Daechul left the driver's seat and rounded his vehicle to see the damage and the culprit behind the accident.
A young, petite boy excited his blue Porsche and started quietly cussing while kicking one wheel.
"Fuck, shit, Kimoon's going to kill me for sure".
Daechul cleared his throat and the man, or rather, the boy, looked up, startled.
Before either of them could say something, the front door burst open and Kimoon ran towards the pair. He was a mix of frantic, angry and embarrassed.
"Minsoo! What the hell do you think you were doing with my car!"
The boy, Minsoo, looked up at Kimoon while trying to do his cutest puppy eyes.
"That's not going to work on me this time. Who gave you the keys? I told you you aren't allowed to go near my car after the last time. And on top of that, you don't even have a driver's license!", Kimoon was positively fuming by then, but Minsoo didn't look scared or apologetic. He barely contained his smirk. Daechul instantly got intrigued. The corner of his mouth twitched up.
"Calm down, Moon, it's barely a scratch. Not a big deal", Daechul was trying to keep his cool when his and Minsoo's eyes met up for a tiniest of moments. His beauty was captivating.
Minsoo had light pink hair, lightly tousled and styled with a part in a middle, leaving his forehead on show. He was quite short, but had a slender figure and strong thighs. His lips were plush and pink, cheeks flushed and brown light eyes smiling. And he had the smallest fingers Daechul has ever seen an adult possess.
Kimoon furrowed his brows and turned to look at his friend. Usually Daechul would be furious of someone scratching his car. It was weird.
"Let's go inside, I want to catch up with your father".
Kimoon finally nodded, but found Minsoo's amused gaze and narrowed his eyes.
"I'm not done with you yet, brother."
Minsoo giggled and ran inside.

That melodious sound haunted Daechul the whole night.
