The sun was starting to set when Daechul got the call, informing him about the plane landing, and that everyone was heading to the gang building. Daechul was all ready, so he took his gun, phone, keys and wallet, and was on his way to meet everyone.
Before doing that, the man decided to check on his siblings and let them know that he had plans, related to work.
All three of them were in Junghyun's room, watching TV. It was some loud and overly colourful show that made Daechul's eyes hurt. The twins were engrossed into the screen, while their brother was half paying attention, half texting with someone on his phone. His smiling face gave up who it was, and although Daechul was curious, he refrained from asking questions.
Junghyung saw him first, and beckoned to join them, when he saw his older brother's appearance.
"Going somewhere?", asked.
Daechul nodded.
"Yeah, I have a few errands to run."
Junghyun tried to hide his concerned expression, but Daechul saw right through him.
"I'll be back soon, Hyunie, don't worry. Do you want me to bring you all something?"
"No. Just please be careful."
Daechul smiled, "I always am."
He kissed the twins on their cheeks and did the same to Junghyun's forehead.
"Be good, okay? Tell mom to refrain from calling me. And don't wait up."
The twins nodded and were back to watching their show, while their brothers shared a fond look, and Deachul was on his way.

When Daechul reached his destination, the sun was long gone, and it was starting to rain.
He hurried inside, and found his men bustling. Daechul furrowed his dark eyebrows, and called one of the young boys to his side, asking what happened.
"We have a big cargo with LSD coming first thing tomorrow, so we need to prepare our warehouses for it," said and then he was gone.
Daechul hummed, pleased that his business was still going without a hitch. He decided to be with Kimoon and others tomorrow, to foresee how everything goes. With that thought in mind, he headed straight to the fifth floor, prepared to finally deal with his guests.
The man found everyone sitting in his office. Ilsung, Jinwoo and Kangmin were sharing a sofa and nursing some drinks, while Kimoon was sitting on one of the two guest leather chairs, furiously typing on his phone.
When Daechul stepped into the room, everyone whipped their heads in his direction. He cleared his throat. "Good to see you, everyone. How was your trip?"
The men shook their hands and Daechul sat down in his chair.
Kangmin smiled, although his smile was a bit strained.
"It was okay. But enough formalities, you better start talking, Daechul."
"First tell me where that scum is."
It was Kimoon's cue to start talking.
"In the basement, restrained. I left two men to watch over him".
He pocketed his phone and sat straighter, as everyone else did, feeling the approaching storm.
Daechul nodded, and went straight to it.
"The building you are sitting in was the property of Hyun Sunwoon. He was the head of the biggest mafia organisation in South Korea, Hyun mafia. Five years ago Sungwoon was killed on the chair I am sitting in right now. Someone came and stabbed him in his neck while he was working. Shortly after that, his oldest son took over the gang and became the boss of the Hyun mafia. His mission is to carry his father's legacy and avenge those who wronged Sungwoon."
All three men were shocked, while Kimoon proudly stared at his friend. Daechul never sugar coated things, he was a straightforward man and always opted to stay honest.
"Wait… the head of the Hyun mafia is you?", Ilsung was staring at the man in betrayal and disbelief. Jinwoo and Kangmin appeared to be a bit more composed, however, they too were flabbergasted.
"Why did you lie, Daechul?", asked Jinwoo.
Daechul sighed.
"After my father died and my mother remarried, I came to Seoul looking forward to forgetting everything that had happened. At first, I wasn't even planning on becoming the head of the mafia. But the longer I thought, the more angry I felt. Sungwoon was the man I seeked guidance from. He was my role model and closest friend. After his death the anger that I tried to repress my whole childhood, just broke through. I decided to honour him and find the killer. That was my mission, and it still is."
Kangmin sadly smiled.
"I did not know what kind of man Sungwoon was. And while I feel appalled to know who you really are, I can almost understand what you were going through and how much responsibility you carried on your shoulders. That's why you can consider me your ally and friend, Daechul."
Jinwoo nodded with a smile.
"I'm sorry about your father, but I certainly think you have big balls to be doing this".
Daechul smiled, while Ilsung stayed quiet. Jinwoo stole a glance at his boyfriend and took his hand.
"Ilsung just needs a bit more time", he assured.
Daechul nodded and directed his stare at Kimoon.
"Now that everything is clear, I want to meet that bastard."

The basement was dimly lit and cold. It was a simple room, not meant to be comforting, but rather aimed at dealing with the scum of earth, like the one currently restrained on a metal chair in the middle of the space. Other than that, the basement was equipped with another metal chair and a huge table, packed with all kinds of intimidating tools, meant to ignite pain.
The man was young, around Daechul's age. He had a buzzcut, and big blue eyes. The man was scrawny, but his expression was hard and seemingly fearless. He did not try to escape, and was calmly sitting, staring at Daechul.
With a flick of his hand, Daechul dismissed his men who kept watch, and sat down on the second metal chair.
Kimoon, Eunsang and the three Seoul guests stayed in the shadows, silently observing the scene. Kimoon had his gun out, prepared to come to Daechul's aid if anything went south. Although he doubted that the man would need help.
He looked as if he was bored, but both Kimoon and Eunsang knew that it was far from the truth. In reality, the man was fully prepared to take his sweet time and achieve what he wants. It never ended well on behalf of the restrained.
"So, let's start this easy. Who are you?"
