Chapter 3 - Chapter Two.

It would seem that Daechul was a happy person on the outside: respect, money, success ... But that was not what the boy wanted. He craved peace and loneliness. After all, after the death of Sungwoon, he only did that: he pretended to be absent, constantly worked and found no time to think about everything. He could not possibly miss anything from holding and gang's affairs. Daechul had to find a desire to continue everything.

Perhaps the situation was aggravated by the theft, because his trips to Busan were never so quick: usually, before leaving, Daechul decided what matters would be handled by the people responsible for the holding, how long his journey would be, and so on ... But this time was different. Daechul had to give instructions to the staff and load the luggage in just a single hour. He did not get any sleep on the plane because he managed business with his partners on the phone, and at the very top, the girl sitting beside him was flirting with him way too much for it to feel even somewhat enjoyable. So when all that Daechul wanted at that time was his soft bed, he had to go to the gang's house and figure out what happened. If we say that Daechul was frustrated, we would be very mistaken.

The boy was so drowned in his thoughts that he didn't hear how Kimoon was trying to talk to him.

"And we are here. Daechul do you hear me? Dae!"

Daechul shook his head when he felt Kimoon shake his shoulder.

"Well, let's go then", the boy said, and after having drunk the last drop of his espresso, he got out of the elevator and threw a paper cup into the trash bin.

Kimoon followed him, and Daechul finally looked around. The premises looked more spacious, lighter and more modern than half a year ago.

"When did you guys do repairs?", he asked, heading to his office.

"After you left. After all, you were constantly complaining that there was no livelihood at all", reminded Kimoon.

Daechul laughed.

"Well, it's good that you listen to my wishes. Now this place no longer looks like some kind of basement from a horror movie."

Kimoon guffawed for a few good moments.

"I missed your lame jokes, Dae."

Daechul smiled and opened the door of the cabinet.

Next to the big window was an oak table, on it - a Macbook pro computer, a stack of documents and a printer. Three soft leather chairs were visible near the table, two of them in front of it. In the corner Daechul noticed a large black leather sofa, and next to it - a glass coffee table. A small cabinet for alcohol was standing opposite the sofa. The bathroom was connected to the cabinet, and the water console with disposable glasses stood at the door. Cabinet floor was covered in expensive, lacquered spruce wood parquet, and the walls were softly gray.

"I like it." it was all, that, looking around the space around him, said Daechul.

Kimoon smiled with pride.

"I knew this would be your reaction."

Daechul wandered through his new office, and after passing through the spacious room, he sat down in front of the desk, noting that the chairs were surprisingly comfortable.

Kimoon followed his friend's lead, and sat down in front of him.

"Well, Moon, talk", urged black-haired man.

"The news is delightful, you will surely love it", he smiled before continuing,"long story short, yesterday Shin Jongil called me, saying that he wants to cooperate, and of course meet you."

Daechul's eyes widened, but Kimoon continued.

"He called and said that he was accepting your offer of cooperation between us and announced that he would bring his men to ensure the confidentiality on arrival", explained a friend. "Shin and his gang arrive in Busan today, at midnight their plane will land in the airport. However, in exchange for his help, Shin asked for a few days with his family, and given his gang's support, I gave him such an opportunity. The man said he would get in touch with us, so there is nothing to worry about. He also mentioned that he would like to talk face to face to you."

Daechul was pleased with Kimoon's story. He leaned back in a comfortable chair.

"Good, give him a little time, and while we wait, I'll fix one thing", said. "You can go now, Moon, I need to make a call."

Kimoon got up from the chair and turned to his friend before leaving.

"Good to see you where you've always been tied up."

Daechul nodded.

And then he sighed and dialed up Go's home phone number.

A couple of beeps on the device later he heard a familiar, pleasing voice.

"Good day, Go Residence."

A woman's voice made her known - Daechuls favorite maid Rebecca.

"Hi, Rebecca. Is my mom at home? ", asked.

Rebecca seemed to have lost her voice for a moment due to surprise.

"Young Huyn! Yes, of course she's at home, I'll invite her in a moment, and I'm glad to hear from you!"

The enthusiasm of the maid cheered up the boy.

He just had to wait a minute, and the voice of Maya, who was so excited, was flooding the phone's speakers.

"Daechul! Would you explain why you contacted us just now?! What did you do?!"

Daechul fondly rolled his eyes.

"Good day to you too, mom. I'm now in Busan, and if you stop shouting, we'll be able to talk seriously. And stop tracking me, or I'll take away the phone from you. I know that you often talk about me with Eunsang", pointed out the son.

"I do not follow you, and what kind of louver are you talking about?", asked Maya with a strange voice.

"Mother, please...", he made himself more comfortable in the chair.

For a few seconds Mrs. Go was silent.

"Okay, I admit, today he called me and told me that you are in town. I did not say anything to your sisters and brother, because I wanted you to call me yourself. And besides, what's wrong with me talking to Eunsang sometimes? We are just friends, I appreciate his company, but he treats me with great respect because he knows that I am his boss's mother", she laughed quietly.

Daechul let out a disbelieving chuckle.

"God, mom, are those women who you call your friends aren't enough? That's just getting Eunsang away from work", Daechul tried to make his voice seem unsatisfied, but when you start chatting with mom after so many months, it gets hard to do.

"Thank you, darling, but I will not believe that you are angry. After all, you know that such dating is sometimes very helpful", she wondered out loud, and Daechul smiled.

"Okay okay, you know me. How are my siblings?", he swiftly changed the topic.

"You will have to come and see it yourself.", she sang out.

The man could only agree.

"What about Siwon?", grudgingly, only out of courtesy inquired.

There was no secret to anyone that Jungkook did not like Maya's husband Go Siwon. In the first months after the wedding, black haired teenager openly showed his distaste for the stepfather. Fifteen year old was still mourning over his biological father's death, and that's why he left his surname as Hyun He childishly thought that the only goal for Siwon was to steal his dead father's money, and leave the Huyn's on the streets with nothing left.

But even after a few weeks Daechul's siblings fell in love with their stepfather. That was when he decided to cut the man some slack - he no longer looked like a potential treat.

Daechul already was an independent man, who no longer lived in the family house. Even if he stopped hating Siwon's guts, sitting in the same room as him was still annoying, because he constantly tried to get on Daechul's good side.

"A few days earlier he got the promotion he was constantly talking my ears off, so he's on cloud nine. Yesterday he, Jun and Eunji went to an amusement park, while I and Junghyun decided to buy him a costume", Maya's lively voice was like a cure - all his muscles seemed to be sore these past days, and now he felt the pain subside just a little.

Even if he stubbornly didn't want to think about it, he stopped hating Siwon long ago.

"Why the costume?", he curiously asked.

"Oh, I told too much, he's going to kill me. Well, nevermind. He will tell you personally. By the way, have I already told you how happy everyone's going to be?"

Daechul rolled his dark eyes and decided to stop the questions for now.

"Hundreds of times."

His mother laughed.

Suddenly he heard knocking on his door. He sat up straighter.

"Sorry mum, I have to go. I'll see you all soon, okay?", promised.

"Okay, sweetheart, we will be waiting", the woman said her goodbyes.

Daechul smiled. His mom always managed to cheer him up.
