I accepted and clicked on the strangest skill.
Biostatic: Increases your biostatic field by 0.1% and increases your intuitive understanding of it reacting with other biostatic fields by 0.1% per level
"What?"
I shouldn't keep talking to you, go look up new types.
Half an hour of reading gundam summaries and fanfics later.
"I can control and supercharge my xbox with my mind!?!"
Idiot
.....
The concept of new types at it core is based on science. We all have biostatic fields and can feel them although how well we understand what we feel varies greatly as well as the size and strength of our fields. When two people feel eachother as in know the other person is there without seeing, touching, or hearing them as some couples do it is believed to be feeling each others field or ripples off of it at least. New types are an evolved concept of this what if you could feel people further away as long as you two were touching the same conductive surface? Humans are social creatures so generations being largely isolated in space could very well evolve themselves in this way. They would also be more receptive to machine so feel data they were used too before it was put on screen. This phenomenon has already been seen but is largely useless. If you use this it will make you slightly more intuitive in games. Feeling enemies nearby or what's in a pregenerated lootbox etc. This will make you seem more skilled as you suggested.
"Wait we?"
"Are you human?"
"Well crap, oh well best read the rest."
Breton: Intuitive understanding of breton movement increases by 0.1% all light armor found becoming one rarity greater 0.1% per level
Puncture Resistance: Intuitive understanding of puncture increases by 0.1% chance of resisting greater fracture increases by 0.1% per level
Well this should help me gear up alot easier a couple even stack. One handed and shield and dual wielding both increase the chance of looted weapons being a higher rank. Maxing out my gear with a medium or heavy one handed build should be a cinch. Guess I'll go medium to dodge easier but should I dual wield or sword and board? Should I build another new character to max out thier stats or....? Guess I gotta find out about my targets and thier levels first.
Opening the quest and scrolling down I found a list of names and ingame locations on many. Found one in the same city as me within craglorn so I got to look. Level 46 in the lower town center challenging person after person to dual. I lined up and beat them swiftly couldn't help but notice that thier gauntlets broke. Geez I hope they're all this easy.
30 minutes later
Crying and screaming on the floor. My arms felt...less solidly attached and had some decent sized cuts in them. Axes are scary, one thousandth of an axe going through you is still fairly severe. I lost the fight since I dropped my remote to scream and assume fetal position. Thankfully I died shortly there after just one slash to the chest all the rest hit my arms. God it's not like I have healing magic IRL!!!!!
...
.....
Huh, that might work.
One hour later I chugged 50 healing potions in game and felt much better. The first couple seemed to do the job but well it's my health cant risk it. Made a set of healing staffs and got to work hunting the tiny critters to grind. Also spent a skill point on a healing spell and spammed it.
Two weeks later I had finally leveled every tier 1 healing staff I could make and bought a breton one from the system after leveling it to 2 but i bought the level 2 staff after thinking on it for abit.
Level 2 breton healing staff: Hold before you with both hands to recharge M.P., Area healing effects have a 2% greater range, Healing Spells Cast Cost 2% less M.P.
Thankfully it just crashed into my door instead of through it this time. I held it before me and focused, without a doubt I succeeded on the first try my arms felt...something then my head, oh god it hurts. I dropped the staff but the pain remained, it was like having an extra displaced weight inside of me. Everything hurt, everything was louder but unclear my vision seemed the same. After struggling for a while i finally just laid on the floor and slept.
