"Ok time to break it up. If u want to fight really badly Blake versus Todd will be the main event. I'll use the randomizer machine to decide the other duels." Todd wasn't pleased to have to fight Blake instead of Oda. He poured and mumbled for quite a while but Blake was the opposite. "Oda don't you worry I'll make sure anyone who plans to disrespect you learns their lesson." "I'll be excited to watch that fight then. Don't forget you promised you won't lose to anyone but me." "Trust me. I'll make sure to back up my words with results."
Everyone awaited the teacher's return to see who would have to face who. Everyone else was scared to have to fight Oda so they hoped that they wouldn't have to fight him. Unfortunately, one person would have to fight him so we waited to see who would be the unlucky one. Mr. Harrison came back eventually and started announcing the battles. "First up will be Oda and Shane. Next will be Emily versus Kari. Thirdly, will be Kankuro up against Yumeko. After that, we'll have Shino and Susan competing against each other. Last but definitely not least, shall be Blake and Todd head-to-head in a fiery duel.
"Of course, I had to be the one that fights Oda." "Don't worry Shane," Susan said, "I know you can take him on." "You sure about that?" "Yup. I'm positive." "Then I'll start coming up with a strategy." "Now that's the Shane I know. Susan and Shane came from the same school. They were close friends and they both were the strongest in their class. They both had the desire to win but they were both up against tough opponents. I saw no hope for Shane beating Oda because of how talented Oda was and Kari had to go up against Emily. I personally knew how strong Emily was and I knew she had been keeping a secret she wanted to show me at school after she trained with her brother.
The first matchup was on its way. Shane vibrated the earth to cause Oda to trip then rushed him to finish the attack but before you knew it, he was on the ground in an arm bar. The rules of the battle were that if you knock out someone or put them in a lock of any kind or if someone forfeited the match would come to an end. The battle was over in a few seconds. Shane was aggravated but Susan came to his aid. "Don't worry I'll win for you." He nodded his head in agreement and was carried out of the way of the battleground. The next match had soon started afterward.
The next battle was with Emily and Kari. Kari shot a flamethrower move at Emily but she easily dodged. Kari then threw fireballs in her way which Emily countered with balls of light. "Gear 2!" Emily shouted before running so fast I could barely keep up with her pace. She attacked Kari relentlessly until Kari fell to the floor while rendered unconscious. I knew Emily had gained much more strength but I didn't know she was on this level. I thought I had caught up to her but it seems she had left me in the dust. That made me more encouraged to show off what I can do.
It was my turn. I had to fight Yumeko Tatania. She started zooming around me with her great speed but I was accustomed to high-speed opponents after fighting with Blake. I dodged each attack done against me and countered with a strong blow. It seemed that she was knocked out so I turned my back but she grew another aura tail and became faster than before. I could barely keep up with her speed and soon I found myself in a headlock from the back. The match was over and I was disappointed in myself for letting down my guard.
Soon the penultimate battle had commenced. Susan grew roots from the earth but Shino froze them almost instantly. He then snuck behind her then froze her entire body except for her head. She was trapped and with no other choice, she forfeited. He removed the ice and then headed back to the stands. "Well, it's time for your match Todd. Break a leg!" The entire classroom except for Oda. For some reason, he stopped playing on his phone and his eyes were focused on this match. I wanted to see how much stronger Blake was since that time we fought.
The match started and Blake rushed Todd with a series of attacks. Todd skilfully blocked and evade each strike without even using his power. Blake fell back and immediately started an inner monologue. "How did he dodge those attacks with such ease. I definitely underestimated him. Time for plan b then." He used his too speed and ran circles around him landing crucial hits on Todd. Despite the momentum being in Blake's favor, the match would soon turn tides. Blake shot electricity at Todd but Todd opened two pocket dimensions, one in front of him and the other behind Blake resulting in Blake tasting his own medicine.
Blake's speed slowed down drastically after that. "I must say you land some nice hits on me but just because you came second in the exam doesn't mean you should take the rest of us lightly." he stated. "I underestimated you yes but know I'm not planning on losing unless it's to my rivals!" He glanced back at both Oda and me for a brief moment. Soon he sped up rushing at with a relentless barrage but Todd protected himself using pocket dimensions. Todd caught Blake off guard and landed a massive blow to Blake's stomach. He fell to his knees as Todd kicked him multiple times.
"You're just a cocky brat that feels that you're such a hotshot. I've trained my entire life to become a hero that people can respect. While you let your guard down. Although how many times Blake was struck to the ground, he proceeded to get back on his feet. "Why won't you stay down? I'm on a whole different level than you. Just stay down!" he shouted before striking Blake to the floor once again. "Didn't I just tell you," he asked while struggling to stand on his feet, "I didn't want to show this until I fought Oda myself but you gave me no choice. Overdrive!" he shouted before he powered up.
