Arakna stepped toward Razo, leaned down and started to untie him.

Razo heard Arakna's chains clinking, "You still have those on?"

"They're enchanted." Arakna stated.

Razo raised his eyebrows. If they were enchanted, there must be writing and a high rank demons blood on them. He wanted to look, but he didn't think Arakna would be so willing.

"Let's go."

"Hold on, hold on." Razo gestured. "I've been tied to a tree some time you know."

Arakna glared at him, "Then stop being so weak."

Razo stood still thinking. He rolled his shoulders and stretched out his red wings, "Let's go." He jumped into the air soaring high in the now dark sky.

Arakna watched him. She was expecting a remark, but he remained silent. She stretched out her silver black-tipped wings and flew after Razo. As they flew closer though, Arakna's eyes shot wide and her wings engulfed more air. Faster! She thought. Elle! Please be okay.

Razo caught up to Arakna who stopped a little out midair from the cottage.

"It's a high rank demon." Razo said looking at the trees around the cottage. He turned to Arakna, he could sense anger, fear, and sadness. He looked away. Arakna probably didn't even understand what she felt. She hadn't been a halfbreed long enough to understand these new emotions. Razo knew them well, unfortunately. All too well.

"It must sense us already, but it wants me." Arakna said without looking away toward the cottage.

"I can sense the demon. He's not by the child Ian-" Arakna paused choking up, "I can't sense Elle."

Razo studied Arakna's face. Intriguing, this emotion he did not know well. Strange, he thought.

"Find the boy, he's hiding somewhere in the home. Don't be loud to cause a distraction. I need you to keep him safe. I'll deal with the demon."

"But you have no weapon. How do you intend to kill it?"

Arakna knew only angels metal was strong enough to pierce a high level ranking demon's skin like this one. She had to assume Elle was dead.

She flew straight down toward the cottage. Razo followed, he could've sworn he saw a tear glimmer in the moonlight on Arakna's face. This one was strange indeed.

Arakna landed in front of the cottage, whereas Razo landed further out, silently stepping from the back. Arakna stepped through the door and turned. She stopped, instantly horrified by what she saw. The demon's black wings seem darker than the night, his hair was now wet with blood. His pitch black eyes looked at Arakna and his mouth went wide with a grin.

"Like my work?" He said in a low sinister voice. "She tasted like a poor dirty wretch."

Elle's arms were hanging above her head spread out. Knives had been stabbed through her hands. Her dress had been ripped apart, scratch marks were etched into her skin where the demon had dug his claws. Blood had trickled down between her legs and her face looked badly swollen that she wasn't recognizable.

Arakna could sense her demon pouring through. She didn't know if she'd lose herself, but she couldn't control it. The demon grabbed his weapon. It looked like a black axe with spikes that exerted such a dark and sinister energy. This was going to be a hard fight, but she didn't care. She had to save Elle, because the last thing she could sense was that Elle was barely alive.
