Uriel sat at the edge of a cliff, looking attentively with his sky blue eyes down at the world below him. His white short hair moved softly with the cool breeze. His white shirt, whipped, as he corrected his shirt.
He heard steps coming toward him, "Lucias," He said sternly "why do you persist on checking in on me?"
Lucias stopped. His long wavy white hair covered half his face, but his sea blue eyes stared at Uriel.
"Why do you persistently stare at the human world?" He asked back.
Uriel never turned back to speak with Lucias, nor did he reply. Lucias sighed and walked up to Uriel, sitting down next to him.
"I know you're looking for her." Lucias leaned in whispering to Uriel.
Uriel didn't budge.
"You know it's forbidden." Lucias said sighing, looking around. He grabbed a string around his arm and started to tie it in his hair to make a ponytail. Lucias looked down along with Uriel, "Why do you keep searching?" Lucias asked.
"She's my partner." Uriel replied.
"Yes, but many have lost a partner and let it go. Perhaps you should stop this nonsense and focus on the war."
"I haven't lost focus." Uriel stated glancing at Lucias.
"It's been 300 human years you know? That you've been searching for her." Lucias said raising an eyebrow.
Uriel kept silent.
"What pushes you to do this? I think I deserve to know if I keep defending you."
"What nonsense has spewed over from my fellow angels?"
Lucias' eyes seemed to search deeply at Uriel, trying to glimpse a subtle emotion, "They say your loyalty to her is foreshadowing your love of Father."
Uriel was quiet for a moment, "And what of your response?"
Lucias' eyes turned back to the world below, "That you meditate, trying to uphold the wisdom and devotion us angels have for our Heaven and our Father."
Lucias watched Uriel shift his wait, "Should I be concerned?"
Uriel glanced at him, "Don't be."leaning forward he opened his long white wings and fell down toward the world below.
Lucias grimaced, "How long can you go on like this I wonder..."
Uriel head down to the human world. He refused to believe Arakna was dead. She was part of the seven council, there's no chance that a demon would simply kill her.
Then the thought came to him, what would they do to her. He placed a fist over his heart. This weird heaviness went to his chest and he didn't realize he held his breath. Why did he react that way? He always tried to ignore it, but he couldn't just dismiss it as other angels had. For 300 human years he's stared at the human world, but for the first time he felt a hint of Arakna's presence.
