Chapter 32 - Chapter thirty-two

"Or maybe he is capable of love. You just didn't deserve it."

Roselyn spat, frowling. Then managed to lay gently Andreas' body on the side.

He raised an eyebrow and took a step in front of him. Roselyn swallowed trying not to make him notice her fear.

"You'll regret what you just said"

He leaned him and raised his head slowly. While his hands were raising a quake provoked ground to shake.

Fire pits bursted from the soil emanating steam. Roselyn closed her eyes.

'You can do it'

she thought.

The pits spout out huge fountains of fire from where flames expanded burning out the surrounding ground and reach Roselyn in a few seconds.

She backed off as quickly as she could but her feet hit a rock on the ground making her lose her balance and fall down.

She still managed to stretch her hand a second before fire could burn her and a shot of water suffocated the forthcoming flames.

However, unfortunately it just lasted for a few instants when the fire was powered again and reached her feed. She crawled back hoping that Andreas could wake up and help her.

"That's all you can do?"

He questioned in a giggle.

She got up and gazed at the pits that erupted the flames, she needed to stop them and close them in order to eventually stop the fire.

She closed her eyes once again and from the pits that David provoked emerged water, her flow was too weak to calm the huge flames of fire.

David stopped the fire exactly a few meters away from her and was waiting to see what she was capable of, before feeding the fire against her. He giggled at her weak attempt.

Roselyn frowned, using all her energies. She was grinding her teeth and focusing on the anger like she was taught to do.

Her thoughts, this time, were reserved to David only, how did he dare to have anything to say about her? And moreover even made fun of her when he didn't even know her.

The water spouts rise and congregate together creating a high water flow that in an instant extinguishes the fire flooding the area.

Roselyn reopened her eyes, a little weary after her effort.

"Time to party"

He started showing a confident smile.

"I'm curious. Are you using the anger that your mother caused you?"

Roselyn's forehead puckered. Everyone seemed to know more about her mother but her, it was driving her crazy.

"Poor you. All the people she loves abandon her or play with her feelings."

Roselyn's brows knitted as ice grew from the ground and frozen his feets to the ground.

She stretched both her arms ahead and a wave of wind brutally tossed him on the ground followed by iced hail framments that stretched his skin.

"I've had enough!!"

After yelling, he closed his eyes and focused enough to shout aloud. David's dragon growled and walked toward her in a firm walk. Roselyn's eyes widened in fear and backed off.

The dragon reached Roselyn and arched his body backward to roar potently enough to make ground shake. Rose had to cling to the rocks on the ground not to be blown by the air he exhaled.

But another roar came from the sky. David's dragon looked up, when Pagos reared up on him, throwing him on the ground so strengthful that its body dug profoundly down the ground leaving the enemy unconscious.

Pagos then turned toward Roselyn and gazed at her, she stepped backward.

He rushed in front of her but then he turned around affronting David's and his second dragon. He was protecting her.

"W-w-what?"

David murmured in a low voice. He was frightened that he barely could stand Pagos' gaze.

"I'- I'm s-o-sorry."

He bowed down in front of Pagos and jumped astride his dragon to flee away riding him.
