"Looks like my chauffeur is here. Bye guys." Leo said goodbye to Ryder and Leo.
Dexter waved then got into the car and Ryder said, "See ya." before he got into the car and left.
"Wait... Ummm Kelly how are you gonna get home?" Leo asked, slightly worried.
"Taxis and busses aren't safe so I have to walk," Kellian explained.
Leo looked at her getting increasingly more worried.
'I understand. Being in a confined space with a werewolf is not a good thing for any human must less a teenage girl... But walking the streets at night is dangerous for anyone. Female werewolves tend to not walk home alone at night because of the existence of werewolf murderers and rapists. There's no way a female human can handle one alone if even the females on the police force, who went through training end up like the victims of these criminals.' Leo made up his mind, "No way. I'll get my chauffeur to drive you home."
"I couldn't possibly ask you to do that." Kellian didn't want to be a nuisance.
"I want to," Leo replied.
"Master Leo." The chauffeur bowed after approaching Leo.
"Baby Brother!" Lia ran over and brought Leo into a hug.
"What are you doing here?" Leo was confused. They were supposed to have a movie day so she should be at home.
"I'm going to work. You see there's the really rich client and–"
"I don't need the details." Leo figured out what happened already.
"Oh is this your friend?" She noticed Kellian and skipped over to her. "Nice to meet you I'm Leo's big sister Lia." She said handing Kellian her hand.
"Nice to meet you... I'm Kellian." Kellian shook her hand.
"My... don't you smell absolutely delicious," Lia said noticing Kellian's smell.
"Uhhh thank you?" Kellian didn't know how to react.
"Haha. Sister... I think you used the wrong word there." Leo laughed awkwardly.
"No I didn't she smells just scrumptious I just want to eat her up." She began playing with Kellian's hair with one hand. "Tell me dear would you interested in hiring my services? I'm positive I could please you!" Then she asked seductively while clasping both Kellians hands in hers.
"Haha. Kelly, get in the car. I'm going to have a word with my sister." Leo directed with a smile.
"Okay." Kellian did as she was told.
The windows were up so Kellian couldn't hear them anymore. the chauffeur was suspicious of this girl that is apparently his master's friend. Leo doesn't usually associate himself with girls so the chauffeur wanted to interrogate her.
"What the hell!?" Leo yelled.
"Oh... My... I nearly lost control myself there. No wonder you were attracted to her! No amount of trauma could ruin such a delightful girl." Lia giggled.
"...I don't think the same way you do... Although her scent is quite... pleasing, it's not going to drive me mad like you." Leo stated in a serious voice.
"The new you. You mean." Lia corrected.
"..." Leo stared at his sister like a mother does before she scolds her child who did something bad, he was disappointed and upset. It was all explained without any words.
"Right, we don't talk about that. Sorry. I also apologize for trying to steal her from you. Her scent was just so captivating I wanted to make her mine."
"She doesn't belong to anyone. She's her own person. Don't treat her like an item. You told me that earlier."
"It's hard. You know why, don't you?" Lia asked.
"You're going to walk." Leo ignored her question and determined that it would be best if she wasn't in the car with Kellian.
"What?" Lia was shocked. 'Leo never asserts himself. He's never even anyone much less me a command this seriously.'
"You can't control yourself. She's not safe around you. Until you get a mask, you shouldn't go near her." Leo explained his decision.
"But I didn't do anything!" Lia defended.
"Yet. I saw what your other hand was about to do." Leo frowned.
"Soo? Girls touch each other's boobs all the time." Lia pouted. "Besides, even if I do lose myself, I wouldn't hurt her. You know what I am and what I do. I bring pleasure not pain." Lia explained.
"I don't want you fondling my friend. You'll scare her. And if you do end up doing 'IT' you'll slowly drain her life force." Leo stated.
"I wasn't acting like that on purpose either." Lia frowned.
"I know. That's why I want you to wear a mask around her." Leo sighed.
"You know, that scent of her will attract others like me."
"I know," Leo replied.
"Be careful. And protect her. She a good person. Maybe she'll be the one you tell all your secrets to. Who knows? My gut is never wrong about personality and she... is a sweet girl. Keep her away from people like me, okay? She's our favourite." Lia smiled bitterly.
"...Alright. But why would I tell anyone about... you know...?" Leo asked.
"Because keeping that secret is eating you alive. Quite literally weakening your power." Lia answered.
"I see."
"I'll walk. But to make it fair, I want the chauffeur to carry me home later. So you walk home from here. Hehe~ Deal." Lia smiled happily.
"That's not fair at all," Leo complained.
"Totally fair. You get to spend time with sweet Kellian and I don't. That is what makes it fair." Lia explained.
"You're just evil." Leo frowned.
"Well, I guess it runs in the family."
"Bye sis. Don't get too drunk." Leo waved.
"I only get drunk when they're ugly. I'll be fine tonight." Lia smirked.
Leo ignored her and go in the car beside Kellian. "Sigh. Let's go." He said addressing the chauffeur.
"But Master... What about Lady Lia?" The chauffeur asked.
"She's walking," Leo replied.
"Is it because of me?" Kellian asked, feeling like a nuisance.
"Yes and no. It's not your fault but I can't say you're not part of the reason why she's walking." Leo answered.
"Oh..." Kellian felt like she did something wrong.
"Don't feel bad she's used to walking like this," Leo said trying to cheer her up.
"Really?" Kellian asked supprised.
"Her night job is... unique. So she walked to hide it from me. I found out when I answered a call for her though. Kinda wish I didn't. I don't want her to but I can't stop her." Leo explained.
"Oh. You said night job. Why is that?" Kellian was curious.
"She works as a model for my mother's agency during the day," Leo replied.
"Okay. You two must be close." Kellian smiled.
"Not really. We try to be... but there's a reason we can't be." Leo stated with a small frown.
"Oh. I know nothing about Kaila and what she does... That reminds me she wanted me to buy these things. I forgot the money to buy them though." Kellian was getting increasingly more worried and scared.
"Mhmm... I don't know that much about my mother either... But I can't buy those groceries for you." Leo offered.
"Really???" Kellian was ecstatic. 'Now I don't have to worry about Kaila's punishment!'
"Sure." Leo smiled when he saw Kellian was so happy. 'She gets so happy over the smallest things. But she seemed a bit scared earlier... Could it be... her mother that scared her so much?'
"Master you shouldn't spend your money carelessly on this... thing." The chauffeur that had been glaring at Kellian the entire time finally spoke.
"...What...did you just say?" Leo asked in a voice that lacked the warmth it held when he talked to his sister, the kind but nervous tone it held when he talked to Kellian or the friendly and childish tone it held when talked to Dexter and Ryder. He was completely indifferent.
"What I mean is... I'm sure you noticed... But that thing is human." The chauffeur said with disdain while remaining respectful to Leo.
"Do you not like your job? You dare insult, my friend, in front of me?" Leo asked shocked his chauffeur could act like this.
"N-no, sir. Humans are just–"
"What?" Leo asked not letting the chauffeur finished his sentence.
There was a hidden meaning in what Leo did. He was telling the chauffeur to choose his words wisely. The chauffeur understood and restructured his sentences as best as he could. "I mean it's none of my business who you talk to and spend your money on. But she...is human and humans are disgusting, inept, vile, deceitful creatures. I mean they even managed to trick and kill our Alpha King!" But unfortunately failed to restrain himself after mentioning the human girl.
Leo remembered the meeting with the principal and why Kellian cried. She blamed herself for her father's death and the Alpha King was her father. That pushed Leo over the edge he was not letting this man get his way. "This girl may be a human but above that, she is my friend and I'll spend on her as I please. However, you are not my friend but I still get to spend on you as I please. And I am not very pleased with your services right now. You are a good driver so I won't fire you yet. I have decided to cut your may. I'll be informing my sister to give you no more than half a million per month from now on." Leo declared.
"Yes sir. You are very generous Master Leo. Thank you so much." The chauffeur thanked.
"Who are you thanking? I'm not done yet. You will apologize to Miss Heart." Leo ordered.
"I'm... sorry." The chauffeur struggled to get the two words out.
"It's fine–"
"Again." For the first time, Leo ignored Kellian. His statement was an order for the chauffeur.
"Huh?" The chauffeur was confused.
"She may be nice and accept that... apology if you can even call it that. I am not. that apology was a steaming hot pile of garbage. You will do it again. It will be more sincere. And you will be more respectful!" Leo demanded.
After many apologies, the chauffeur was on the verge of tears, "I deeply apologize to you, Miss Heart, from the bottom of my heart. I am absolutely in the wrong. I should have never said those things. I was disrespectful and hurt you. And for that I'm sorry... I'm so so so sorry... please forgive me." He ended up begging for forgiveness.
"Leo... I think you should stop. He needs to focus on the road. He's driving after all."
"That's no excuse. That's the only thing left that's good about him. So he should work harder. He's crying. So what? You felt bad when you heard those things too. You cried last time your father was mentioned."
'I didn't say anything about that thing's father I only mention the Alpha King... No could she be... her daughter??? But everyone from that heart family should be dead. But she does have the blue hair which was unique only to the Alpha King but the child wasn't his right? Yeah, she could have just died her hair blue. No use overthinking.'
"Fine. You may focus your attention on driving." Leo stated.
"Ummm... you didn't have to do that..." Kellian felt sorry for the chauffeur.
"I did. I offered you a ride so you could avoid werewolves jerks like him." Leo explained...
"Okay. But you must be rich." Kellian stated.
"Huh?"
"Having a chauffeur is already a luxury. Being able to pay them half a million a month means you're rich." Kellian explained her previous statement.
"Oh. I don't really think about it like that. Mother gives ten million a month so sacrificing two million to pay the chauffeur isn't that big a deal." Leo explained.
"Show off," Kellian stated.
"W-what?" Leo was shocked by Kellian's statement.
"A loving mother that gives you so much money a day? You're just trying to make me jealous." Kellian pouted.
"... You can take away the love part. She doesn't love me. The only reason she allows me to live comfortably is that she's scared of my father. She does love me at all." Leo explained clenching his fists.
"Oh... I'm sorry..." Kellian regretted bringing up the topic.
"You shouldn't be. Your mother is way worse than mine." Leo joked half-heartedly was a tear made its way down his cheek.
"You shouldn't compare your pain to others," Kellian said wiping his tear. 'Daddy always said that to me whenever I was sad or hurt and said told him it didn't matter. Everyone's sadness and pain matters, no one should be left out just because you think their pain isn't as bad as your own. Thank you, father, for those words.'
"...Can I... hug you... like... last time?" Leo asked.
"Sure. Hugs make everything better!" Kellian said happily hugging Leo.
"Thank... you," Leo whispered.
'If I tell the Mistress that annoying brat will be punished!!! This kid embarrassed me! I need revenge! But... I won't get paid. She has a different driver so she doesn't care about me. Damn it!'
On the way home, they stopped at a supermarket and bought a lot of groceries. Shopping for Kellian cheered Leo up.
"Don't you think this is too much?" Kellian asked.
"Nah it'll be finished in no time."
"Not that. Your money,"
"Like I said I said I get 10 million every month. I'm not losing anything by spending some of it on you." Leo smiled.
"Okay. At least there wasn't anything too expensive in the supermarket." Kellian said letting it go.
"You need to quit worrying about money." Leo joked.
"I can't... I was raised to not spend too much and besides, I don't deserve expensive things." Kellian explained.
"Says who!?" Leo asked upset. 'Who would tell her she doesn't deserve expensive things?'
"Kaila," Kellian answered.
"She's wrong. Everyone deserves to be spoilt now and then. It saddens me that some people spend their lives with even getting a taste of luxury. Not that luxury is all that but I feel like people deserve to at least experience it." Leo tried to correct Kellian's way of thinking.
"That's an interesting way to look at it... But Kaila–"
"Maybe but it doesn't matter. Right now what matters is getting you home." Leo didn't want to hear anything about Kaila anymore.
And so they put the groceries in the trunk and continued driving to Kellian's house.
"Hey, Kelly.... do you know Ein?" Leo asked.
"I did. He was my childhood friend but he seems different, and pretty mean now. Why?"
"He is. He used to bully me." Leo replied.
"What? Why?" Kellian was confused.
"I was shy and alone. An easy target for bullies."
"What about Ryder?" Kellian asked.
"I was around twelve years old when I met Ryder. I started being bullied by Ein and his friends when I was nine."
"Oh no! I seriously damaged his brain cells... I didn't think I hit him that hard." Kellian said, genuinely worried.
"Uhhh... You've beaten him I a fight?" Leo asked shocked.
"Many times when we were younger. I must have hit him too hard for him to change like that." Kellian stated.
"Or he did it to be popular," Leo added.
"I guess. It's just hard to believe.' Kellian explained.
"Do you want a more detailed explanation? How close are we?"
"Actually we're here. My house is just up that hill." Kellian replied.
"You heard her," Leo said to the chauffeur.
"I'll tell you the rest when we get there."
'Mom won't get mad right. She'll be happy about the groceries... right?' Kellian spent the time worrying.
Kellian looked at her house and realized all the lights were off. Her mom wasn't home.
"You didn't have to drive me all the way up here."
"I wanted to." Leo smiled.
"Wait is your driver leaving?" Kellian asked, pointing to the car speeding down the hill.
"What the hell? I didn't even tell him about that yet. Ugh." Leo complained.
"About what?" Kellian was confused.
"My sister wants him so I'll have to walk home but I was to walk from town where she had to walk from."
"But it's so late." Kellian was worried.
"I know," Leo replied.
"Do you... wanna stay over?" Kellian asked out of worry.
Leo's face flushed.
"I mean it's really late and there are plenty of bedrooms in my house. You'll just have to hide from my mom if she comes home." Kellian continued.
"O-okay," Leo replied unable to force his brain to think.
"Are you okay? You're a little red." Kellian noticed.
"J-just cold." Leo lied. 'Why did I lie? I don't get cold. Wait. Above that. Why the hell did I agree to stay over at her house!?'
"Seriously! You're even stuttering! Come inside quick." Kellian believed him.
They brought in all the groceries and drank some juice in the kitchen. Then they went to the living room and sat on the floor across from each other.
"Ummm... you said you used to be shy?" Kellian asked.
"Yeah, like I said Ein bullies me for it."
"Can you... tell me what happened?" Kellian asked for that explanation Leo offered.
"I was younger I wasn't used to talking to people and I... was afraid of girls... because of personal reasons." Leo started.
"Oh? How did you get over it?" Kellian asked.
"I... didn't," Leo told the truth.
"But you don't seem shy to me," Kellian stated.
"That's because I got better at talking to people. Not girls though." Leo explained.
"I'm a girl." Kellian was confused.
"I know but you're different... I don't know why. Ever since... an incident that happened when I was younger I developed a fear of girls and my nose began to associate their scents with fear or disgust." Leo explained.
"Disgust?" Kellian was curious.
"Something that happened to me during the time of... the incident. It was not very pleasant and I vomited a lot so certain female scents make me want to do that again." Leo explained.
"That incident must have been awful," Kellian stated.
"It was... The amount of betrayal, anger and depression I felt was unimaginable." Leo stated seriously.
"Betrayal?" Kellian asked.
"...Someone close... Very close to me was the source of that incident." Leo answered.
"Oh... uhhh..."
"We were talking about what Ein did to me, right?" Leo changed the topic.
"...yeah," Kellian replied. 'Maybe I shouldn't have brought this up.'
"I was popular with girls for some reason and it was hell. I hated every second of it but had to pretend I was fine because I didn't want to hurt their feelings. Ein hated that. He worked hard to be popular and I was getting in the way. So he pretended to be my friend and exposed my secret. To everyone. All and once. My emotions were unstable so when the girls tried to comfort me I snapped. I yelled at them to leave me alone. And like that, I lost every friend I had." Leo continued.
"No..."
"He didn't stop there. He bullied me verbally and physically every day. He hit me, pour food on me, beat me up behind the school, toss me into garbage bins, publicly humiliated me and even tossed me into a pool even though I couldn't swim."
"You can't swim?" Kellian asked.
"I learned," Leo replied.
"Oh..." Kellian was disappointed.
"Why do you sound sad?" Leo was confused.
"I can't swim. I thought you were like me," Kellian explained.
"Oh..."
"But back to the story. When does Ryder come in?" Kellian asked.
"The day I almost drowned Ryder saved me. He taught me how to fight back without hurting my opponents too much and how to swim. Ryder introduced me to Dexter and we became friends. Most people forgot about what Ein told them and I was able to defend against Leo and his friends." Leo finished.
"Ryder... can be nice?" Kellian asked.
The two both burst out in laughter.
"Kelly... Can you promise me something?" Leo asked.
"What is it?"
"Promise me... That you will be my friend... no matter what." Leo said seriously.
"I promise," Kellian said happily.
"Good. Don't ever break it." Leo said seriously.
"I won't." Kellian smiled genuinely, "Do you want to do something fun to commemorate our promise?"
"Your house is pretty big..." Leo commented.
"Yes, my father wanted many children so he made a large house with many rooms," Kellian added.
"But he only had– Oh..." Leo was about to say something inconsiderate.
"Yeah... He died saving my life. He didn't achieve his dream because of me." Kellian stated.
"I'm sorry I brought it up." Leo regretted bringing it up.
"It's fine." Kellian smiled bitterly.
"As I was saying before, your house is big... Perfect for hide-and-seek!"
"I haven't played that since I was a kid! Let me just check if Kaila posted anything about her whereabouts first." Kellian said excitedly then ran off.
While Kellian was gone Leo wandered around the house. He eventually stumbled upon a large wooden door...
'That's strange. Why is this door so different?' Leo thought running his head against the door.
'There's a key here... It's not my house... I shouldn't go through her weird creepy door.' Leo tried to restrain himself but failed and opened the door.
'It's so dark. This goes down pretty deep.' Leo walked down the stairs as they creaked beneath his feet.
'Oh, it's just a normal basement... No... there are more doors. And... that smell...It's so..interesting. I have to find out what it is at least.'
Leo followed his nose and it led him to the torture room he pushed open the door and was greeted by various torture devices. Some of which he recognized. And a cleaning bucket filled with bloody water and a whip stained with blood.
He stepped backwards. 'What the hell!? That smell was blood!?' Then it hit him. The smell is extremely similar to Kellian's that means...this was where Kellian was hurt.
'Curiosity killed the cat I did not need to see those devices again. And now I'm imagining Kellian in my place. Those devices make me sick.' Leo quickly went back upstairs, locked the door, placed the key where he found it and then he sat and waited patiently for Kellian.
"Apparently she's at a party and won't be coming back until tomorrow." Kellian came and explained.
"How'd you find out?" Leo asked.
"I hacked her social media, read her status and private messages," Kellian answered.
"Oh."
"So let's get this commemoration party started!" Kellian yelled, excited.
"Yeah!" Leo said happily, "Hide-and-seek, snacks and movies. Best. Party. Ever."
Kellian burst into laughter.
The two enjoyed themselves playing games the haven't played since they were little. Then watched movies and ate snacks until Kellian fell asleep.
Not knowing which room was Kellian's he brought her to the first bedroom he saw. Then went to sleep in the room across from it.
