Cleus unlocked the front door to display a drak, clustered house; every inch was covered in dust, white cloth covered all furniture and lights barely worked. On the outside, Cleus house looked well kept with manicured lawn and well maintained flowers yet once, inside it was clear he barely stayed here. They turned looking at Cleus who locked the door behind him before peaking through closed curtains. He led them upstairs to his office before creating a portal to a remote part of Earth. Lucan and Layton, though confused followed silently; Cleus had always been their aid, since birth if you were to ask the brothers.
"You know where they are don't you?" Lucan suddenly asked surprising everyone.
Cleus nodded, "I won't carry you there" Lucan's eyes held a voilent anger, "Ashlin isn't the same person"
"So, what if she changed... we don't care as long as she's with us" Layton laughed.
"She doesn't remember anything" Cleus open a portal to an Amazonian forest, "Come on" they walked for a few minutes before sealing a tall tree overlooking a nearby clearing.
"Mommy! Mom!" a three year old boy ran outside, his black curls bonce with each step, "huwwy, mommy" his strong facial features greatly resembled his father but the smile he wore... it was Lucan's favorite fantasy.
Aslin exit the hut with a playful smile as Lycaren pulled his mother towards the forest. Cleus jumped, losnding gracefully among fallen leafs; the twins followed him through the wooden area. They stopped mere feet from Ashlin and Lycra who waited eagerly, upon seeing Cleus, they ran hugging him.
"I brough along some friends" Cleus ushered to the pair behind him.
"That's fine" Ashlin smiled waving at them.
Lucan held back his emotions upon seeing his desire manifested; Lycra approached the male observing him closely before reaching for him. Lucan, though hesitant reached down holding the younger male. Layton stood stunned, unable to speak or move; he turned into a statue in her sight. Ashlin led the trio back to the tribe; once there, they stayed at her home.
"He knows" Cleus whispered to Lucan holding a silent Lycra.
"He knows who I am?" Lucan asked softly.
"Yes, Lycraeen is powerful and remembers time spent in his mother's womb" Lucan smiled faintly looking down at the child who seemingly knew their conversation.
"Lycraeen" his father smiled when he looked up smiling, "You may look like me but you've got Ashlin's smile" Lycra giggle running to his mother's side, Ashlin placed food in front him.
Lycra happily accepted the food his mother made; he's known to refuse food from anyone, unless Ashlin made it. He was truly loyal to his mother , only. They all laughed at the toddler, who smiled in response. Layton made conversation with Ashlin, he made silly jokes causing her laughter. Lucan watch his lover and son, thought to be lost forever..... there were so close but in his heart there was so much distance between them. The day went by in the blink of an eye, by evening time Lycra was already asleep in his father's arms while Ashlin prepared for dinner. At sun set Cleus approached her with a serious expression causing confusion amongst his companions. He place his head out for her to take, smiling Ashlin held Cleus hand following closely. They all walled into the forest before Cleus instructed Ashlin to close her eyes, there was a small gush of wind.
"Waw!" She scream in amazement upon opening her eyes, they stood on a cliff's edge with gleaming water below.
Ashlin stood breathless gazing at a scenery of fantasy; an enormous sky littered with bright stars with an oval ball of light hanging at the center. A lake surrounded by mountain ranges and greenery as far as the eyes can see. She turned her eyes to the three males behind her; a static like effect start throughout her mind. Ashlin dropped to her knees while tears brimmed silver eyes. In her palm rest a gleaming sword, it's hilt was covered in flames. Behind, gentle wind brushed her body, tall ash grey/ white wings stood tall.
"What's happening to me?" Her voice was barely above a whisper as her body had become numb.
"Ash" Lucan called causing her to look up.
In that moment she finally saw Lucan; tears spilled while memories poured in. Layton's antics, Cleus lonesome nature and Lucan's fear filled, loving heart... she remembered it all.
"Lucan" her voice trembled looking at the black haired male holding their son, "You idiot" she cried, "Why did you keep me waiting so long?" Ashlin finally broke down, releasing four years of sadness.
Lucan approached hugging her, "I'm sorry" his voice cracked, "I couldn't find you" his arm tighten around her.
"What? No love for me? No lovely reunion?" Layton outing at their side.
Ashlin giggle wiping her tears, "Come on before my hand get tired" Layton practically jumped into her open arms, "I missed you, guys" she smiled standing.
"Ash" Cleus crued golding her close, "You're finally back, you got your memories" he laugh to which she smile gaze at her son.
Ashlin pouted, "Why does he look like your reflection?" She raised an eyebrow to her lover.
He shrugged, at a loss for words, "Behave Ash" Layton chuckled defending his twin brother.
"What? I'll like to know why he looks so much like you and I'm the one who carried him. What did you do? huh?" Cleus laughed hysterically.
"I know this was going to be an issue" he laughed loudly.
"You knew this was going to happen?" Cleus nodded while Layton was at a loss for words.
"Come on Ash, let's go home" Cleus pulled the female from attacking the confused male, "Don't attack him, its not his fault" Ashlin turned with a glare.
"So, it's my fault? Is that, what you're trying to say? I'm at fault?" She looked utterly astonished by his accusations.
"No, no, no, no" he wavered his hand trying to dismiss her claim, smiling, "I'm just saying you shouldn't blame Lucan, he's still stunned by finding you guys"
"Oh, so he had no faith in us surviving?" Cleus sighed pulling her through the portal created.
