Ashlin got an earful when returning to the Underworld. Layton and Lucan were in disbelief learning where she had visited.
"That's how you know she's royalty" Cleus snickered looking at the twins who couldn't get past their disbelief, " What was important enough to return after what you've done?" Blue eyes stared, patiently awaiting her reply.
"I need to do research on something important" Ashlin tried to avoid the topic, knowing Lucan should strongly oppose the idea.
"Have you seen Lyra since...." Cleus trailed off.
"No, I haven't" she sighed at the thought of her guardian.
"Stop ignoring us!" Layton shouted in irritation, "You could've been in danger"
"Why would you say that?" Cleus looked at Layton dumbfounded.
"Are you forgetting how she lost her memories?" Layton argued.
"I don't know why you all got depressed, wasn't losing my memories a solution you contemplated?" She retorted defending Cleus.
"He won't come for her" Cleus stated simply.
"Why is that, Cleus? How do you know?"
"Well.... considering he found them before we did" Cleus thought for a moment, "And the fact he could've done something to her and Lycra but he didn't"
"He found you?" Lucan asked, Ash thought for a moment before nodding.
"There was also a young girl accompanying him" Ash smiled, "He brought delicious food"
Cleuslaughed, "That'sthe only reason she held a liking towards him"
Noticing the alarmed look on Lucan's face, she sat beside him smiling. Ashlin assured him, everything will work put fine. Once Hell had all fallen into sleep's grasp, She journeyed to where giants laid dormant. Ash entered the familiar cave, venturing through underground canals stopping where faint markings can be seen. Taking a deep breath she closed her eyes; within she searched for the warmth of her power. Once found, she allowed it to wash over her before scattering outwards in various directions. Two minutes passed before the canal walls trembled and cracked, Ashlin was knocked unconscious by a piece of fallen debree. Blood trickled from ruptured skin, seeping into dirt, feeding sealed beings.
In Vision
Smoke covered the entire area, stubborn lungs choke on their disfigured being; shaky limbs try to move forward. The tainted angel crawled along the floor searching for an escape, an open field of clean air. Sore throat and tampered eyes burn from the furnace of thick, stagnant smoke. Naively, she struggled yet continuing to push onwards when, the unexpected happened. Ashlin fell; time slowed on her descent and with the embrace of cool water, shocked lungs evicted all it's contents. Air spilled into bubbles floating at the surface, an action her body neglected. Silver adjusted to dark water; multiple bubbles escape widened mouth yet sound only came on contact with open air.
In dark waters laid the most monstrous creatures, they lurk in the depths where eyes hovering above, can't see. They wore blood curling smiles giving a glimpse of dagger like teeth and bone- crushing claws. Naive soul tries to escape their sights hitting a stone wall. Ashlin slowly turned around feeling warmth radiating from the submerged mineral. Something awoke a fascination within hee; soft palms glide along the tall exterior, delicate markings could be felt. Ashli. Pain ignorance to the shadows, enticed by an unknown force. Sharp stone drew blood from unaware hands yet she didn't feel anything. After a few seconds, the rock formation began trembling before multiple pairs of eyes opened along the wide wall. They all focused on her; something moved in the unseen depths. A force pushed Ashpin to the surface; there wasn't smoke instead Ashlin emerged in the middle of an ocean with multiple ruins seemingly floating on calm waters. Gazing around in astonishment Ashlin stopped suddenly amognst the ruins stood giants looking at her.
"My lady, why are you here?" A thunderous voice echoed.
"Do you know who I am?" Ashlin turned to the giant holding her in it's palm.
"Yes, we do. Lady Lilivanna, youngest sister to the Gods" He stated proudly, bowing his head in respect, "Why are you within the forbidden creation?" All giants looked on curious to hear the young lady's answer.
"Forbidden creation?" Her head turned to the sky.
"Yes, the forbidden creation refers to all created by the first God. All realms that contain humans, they have their designated deities; these are forbidden for other Gods to enter" Ash looked at the giant curious, "My name's Cronus" he said as though reading her mind.
"How do you know, who I am?"
"That in itself is a long story but to put it shortly, you've always been a mischievous one. Sneaking into forbidden realms since young. Lady Lilith introduced us after you snuck into this realm, you were only two years old at the time" Cronus laughed shaking the waters.
"I knew Lilith?" She asked astonished.
"Yes, you took quite the liking to her. In the end I believe you granted her one wish" Cronus eyes glossed over, "You were the embodiment of her fantasies and dreams of being a mother" large droplets merged with salty ocean water.
"I'm sorry, I made you sad" Ashlin rubbed the giants hand gently, "Cronus"
The giant hummed in response while Ash gathered her courage.
"If I'm not suppose to exist here, what will happen if I gave birth to a child, in this realm?" Cronus eyes widened.
"If you gave birth to a child carrying Human bloodline, it's fine. There shouldn't be many complications amongst the Heavens" he seemed deep in though as he spoke.
"And...if...what will happen if my child carries Hades direct bloodline?" Cronus along with the other giants release a horror gasp.
"It should go without saying, a princess from the realm of Gods should never have an offspring with any other, than their chosen. If you were to have a son with a descendant of Hades, this can lead to a all- out war over that child's power. Lady Livianna, you are one of two Gods born directly from the first God...that kind of power mixed with Hades? It's the ultimate power creation; powerful enough to open the realm of darkness"
Ashlin suddenly screamed in pain holding her head, Cronus wore a frown. Static like effect covered her senses, as images of darkness creeping forward played on replay in her mind.
"It seems our time is up" Cronus spoke sadly, "You must leave now, my lady" skies shift from joyous blue to gloomy grey.
"Wil- ahaa- will we....meet...again?" She barely got the words passed stubborn lips.
"I hope we do but, at last I'm tasked to forever hold all creation upon my shoulders" he gave a sad smile.
Grey feathers began falling from the sky; they transform to ash with worldly touch. It was a breathtakingly memorizing sight.
