Chapter 30 - Chapter 28

Once Lycra had finished eating, Lucan carried his son to meet the elders of Hell whole Ashlin tried to gain knowledge about giants. Unfortunately, there was limited information recorded in the anciet texts. The devil king library, though large it held bare minimum knowledge of giants. There was no information of where they hailed from nor any indication as to why they were really sealed away. In that moment, she had a forbidden thought. She needed to know why they had awoken after years of hiding and only venturing to Heaven can answers her questions. She was now on their opposing side; one good, the other evil.... at least that's what everyone may think but they held a different understanding.

Ashlin was his family, a piece of creation not entirely of his design yet she existed amongst everyone. She was nervous of the reaction that'll be sent her way but place her brave face on, Ashlin left Hell. She didn't inform anyone of her departure, already hearing their shouts of disagreement. Ash grey wings brush the wind taking her higher until entering Heaven's atmosphere. At first glance it appeared as though nothing had changed; silver streams and golden pathways. At a closer look Ashlin could see the fear and disgust on every angel's faces. They didn't hide their emotions upon gazing at the tainted being.

Now not even the Heavenly stream can purify her soul because she became entangled with the devil's beast and bore seed. She not only sort blasphemy but ,also contributed to it; Ashlin did the unthinkable and became part of the unforgivable. She wore a bright smile flying pass, heading to God's home. Guards were placed in various areas; they only consisted of angels from the first triad. They looked at me with sadden gaze but did not stop my ascent. Once at the door, I knocked before entering only to be greeted by Christian's smiling face. He embraced me tightly with tears well out green eyes.

"Great! Just the person I needed" Ashlin smiled yet she didn't notice Christian's brief frown.

"Is that so?" He teased, "Here, I thought you turned your back on all of us" he stated folding his arms.

"Aww, don't be jealous" Ashlin snaked her arms around his waist smiling up at the taller male.

"Okay, what do you want , you little troublemaker?" Christian laughed ruffling her hair.

"Let's go to the library" she laughed to which he nodded in agreement.

"Hey...Ash" Green eyes turn to the female beside him, "Father said you gave birth to a healthy baby" Ashlin blushed, nodding her head eagerly, "Does he bare any of your physical traits?"

"He's an ungrateful little bastard" she grinned her teeth, "To answer your question, my child looks like a replica of their father" she frowned seemingly depressed.

"It seems to really upset you" Christian snickered at how angry she git over a simple question.

"I'm sorry" she apologized with a frown, " I didn't mean to get angry. It's just....." sge sighed, "He didn't even take my eyes or hair colour" tears brimmed her eyes, "Why is he a reflection of his father?"

"I'm sorry" Christian smiled nervously, "Don't think about it, okay?" Ashlin nodded, "So, why did you return?" He tried to change the subject.

"About that.....I want to know about giants. Similar to the ones in the Underworld" he gave her an unbelieving gaze until sensing the seriousness in her words.

"Oh, you're serious" he cleared his throat, "There should be a few books in the library"

It was common knowledge amongst heavenly beings that, only those belonging to the first triad and father's direct bloodline are allowed in the sacred library. Therefore Ashlin was no longer allowed into this blessed space unless a high achy of Heaven permits. Steel eyes gleam upon witnessing it's decor; every inch was covered in white marble, bookshelves stretch along the wall, up to the ceiling. Gold and silver chandeliers radiated a brilliant light. Christian smiled at Ashlin's awestruck face. They walked further into the building while Christian's golden orbs browsed each book title, stopping abruptly. He pointed to three books hovering off the shelves descending into his hands.

"These are all the information on titans/ giants we are allowed, to" she nodded as he smiled handing them to her.

"Thank you, this should be s lot of help" silver eyes glisten with appreciation, walking to a vacant table Ashlin started reading.

She became engrossed in their history; their birth, challenges and battles. Ashlin learnt of their downfall and everyone who sank into a myth along with them. Human woman unable to refuse the temptation of a pure angel; they fell into the game of good and evil. They gave birth to abomination; giving life to blasphemous being unlike any God created. Different cultures and ethnicities on Earth; they have them recorded history or mythology. Though, these creatures are referred to, by different names, their destruction never changed.... it resulted from the same place, Heaven. Many know the history of Earth, Hell and all it's inhabitants yet no one knew the history of Heaven. Father didn't always rule alone; once upon a time, there were Gods and Goddesses. Their home, a separate piece of Heaven resembling an anciet Greek isle. There's a saying amongst the first people of Earth; everything is fair gain, knowledge except the home of the Gods. They are who gave birth to Serraphim, Cherubims and Thornes.

It was nightfall when Ashlin had finished her research, she hurriedly returned the books, leaving. Christian called after the fleeing beauty; God looked at the panicked girl with a soft smile. Nothing can change the fact that she is the princess of Heaven... this piece of perfection will always welcome her. Ashlin stood at Heavens gate, pearly white and gold metal now held black pearls. With scrutinizing eyes, she turned to where God stood. Which came first, darkness or light? Good or evil? Who said darkness was all evil and light was the embodiment of good? Darkness was a cold friend, hiding all fears from sight while light showed each fear with intricate design. Why give power to simple existence. Ashlin left with one last glance at the imperfection.
