Lucan stared into the depths of my soul and never lied about what he saw; he embraced it, he embraced me, all the same. We stumbled across the room to a sofa, mind dizzy with long and lust, tearing at the fabric keeping us apart. Midnight eyes pinned me while an attack ensued; aggressive kisses left Mark's in their trail. He watched attentively, searching for discomfort usually hidden from sight. Each stroke or thrust was gentle, almost loving and rids love of that suffocating feeling.
We awoke next morning entangle in a ball if b like blanket and sheets. Lucan laid with closed eyes with silent movements I turned gazing at his gorgeous features ; tracing the symmetrical lines on his face. I released a sound of shock as strong hands grabbed my own pulling me forward. We were inches apart as I gaze at him star struck; long, thick lashes sweep the wind when eyes flutter open. Lucan gave butterfly kisses and a gentle smile while we laid enjoying each other's presence. A loud thud was heard before strong oak doors flew open.
"Good morning" Layton proclaimed entering alongside Cerberus.
"Clearly, Layton and his associates have no respect for others privacy" I grumbled
"Having no respect would have been bursting in last night" my cheeks flushed instantly causing both males laughter.
"Don't tease our little angel" Lucan chuckle from my side.
"What happened last night" Cleus enquired entering the room.
"Nothing much, just a little bursting in and privacy" Layton teased causing my blush to worsen.
"Huh? I don't get it" Cleus held a look of dumbfoundment while the brothers laughed.
This is what I truly loved about being here, I didnt have to wonder for a second if their joy or laughter was genuine. The trio looked at me with warm smiles and, for the first time in an eternity I felt like I belong.
"What? Are you falling in love with us" Cleus commented on my staring.
"I've already done, that" my eyes were now placed on Lucan.
"Somehow, I feel like she just told us, we are no longer welcomed here" Layton said in a fake thoughtful tone.
"At least one of you can take a hint" I gave a side glare.
"How cute" Cerberus entered the conversation.
Cleus cleared his throat trying to break awkward silence, "Lucan, we actually came for you. There's something important we need to discuss" his tone serious.
Lucan kissed my forehead before getting dressed and leaving, I sat alone planning a day without my favorite trio. After doing my morning routine, getting dressed and packing a bag, I made the journey to river Lethe. I looked on as they came one by one, drinking it's form and forgetting a life before. Freed souls came full and left empty, some came with cries and pleas. I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner on its shore contemplating if I should take a sip. My heart may not be able to bear it since here has become my home yet there is a silent thought lingering on the frontlines of my mind, 'If I forgot, If things go back....surely there won't be a need for my existence to come into play'.
My eyes drifted close as I sunk into an abyss of nothingness. A small flicker of light approaches from the distance, it slowly grows before bursting into a million scattered lights. Lyra appear from amongst them with peach coloured silk draping down her figure.
"Hello, again" she offered her usual smile.
"Hi" I gave an anxious wave.
"I wont take much of your time, I've come to give a warning: please be wary of the River Phlegethen" Lyra then vanished as she had appeared.
Though Lyra had left I did not, it was peaceful here with nothing to think or worry about and no one but Lyra can find me. In this space my existence has no real importance and my past holds no deceit. I gaze up at the twinkling lights creating patterns in their dance. Surely, they have traveled the universe and held conversations with time & space. They know secrets many lust after, but they've become silent while growing older. If they could speak; they'll say all seen and, maybe they will know the story of me.
I awoke to darken skies and strong arms carrying me home. Lucan noticing my awaken state gave me a kiss and asked about my day. Whenever I needed something explained Lucan is the person which come to mind but, as I stare at midnight irises, deep in thought... I know at the time, his troubles are bigger than mine.
"Are we heading home?" he nodded with a hum of agreement.
He remained silent throughout the entire night, distracted by thoughts he'll never let out for air. Lucan would occasionally stare at me; sometimes with a heartbreaking look or other times with a look of helplessness. My heart clenched witnessing him in such a disarray. Thoughts and decisions tear at his being, leaving behind an unraveling mess. Lucan took my hand in his, pulling my body again st his.
"Would you ever leave here?" his voice was barely above a whisper.
"No, why do you ask?" he gave a sour chuckle.
"Because, once you're alive it is destined for one to lose that which they care for, the most" my arms tighten around him.
"Are you going to leave me?"
"Never" he planted kisses all over my face but I knew he was lying to himself and me.
Something had happened causing Lucan to constantly think of our separation; he avoid me the entire morning after we woke up. I was puzzled by his actions, last night he was kissing me saying he'll never leave now he was avoid me like God. Sighing, a loud groan escaped my throat. Lucan was angering me, he knew how much I needed to deal with yet he thinks it's fine to make me worry about him, too.
"If you groan any louder people might get the wrong idea" Cleus teased from the doorway.
I groaned louder and louder causing him to run over, slapping a hand over my lips.
"Who got you angry?" narrowing my eyes at him, I refused to answer, "Well, since you're in a bad mood........ I guess I'll go to Earth by myself" grabbing his shirt, Cleus stopped looking back at me, "What? not in a bad mood anymore" I smiled, "let's go, then".
