I fell asleep peacefully yet when my mind's eyes opened, darkness swallowed me. I was suddenly enveloped by heavy waters and with weak limps, I barely made it to land. Without a moment to breathe grey feathers fell from thunderous skies but they turned to ash once in unawared hands. Suddenly the ground caved in as my body plunged into dark waters, I fight to make it to the surface but my efforts were futile. Air refuse to stay in my lungs any longer, burning for release from their cage; my vision blurred as I allowed my lungs to give up.
I awoke coughing water, body tremble from it's former cold surroundings. My mind tried to gather thoughts and answers yet it was difficult due to the distracting war cries heard in the distance....war cries? My body turned violently, eyes widen; I stood as a bystander on looking a holy war, witnessing participants crucifixion as many were burned to their core. Their ruthless murdering wasn't something I believed in and surely, they were doing it in the name of purging sin but, honestly they were only dragging along someone's else burden. I didn't argue about being a bystander in this war because many were hypocrites claiming to be pure as they slaughter in the name God. They weapons glistened with blood; rotting flesh and metallic scent assaulted the air.
"Do you see the chaos cause, in the name of, everything pure?" Lyra's voice broke through the darkness behind me.
"Why has it come to this?" my mind was unable to comprehend a reason worthy of this bloodshed and destruction.
"It's the way of creation; everything that's alive has a will of it's own, nothing is created without a self conscious. You must understand there are those who choose to be selfless in every aspect. They slowly become empty vessels filled with knowledge and understanding yet, they still have to choice of their own, now" Lyra tried to explain.
"Can't they see the destruction and innocent lives being taken by their, so called 'righteous cause' or ,is it they simply don't care?" Lyra emerged from the darkness and stood beside me.
"There is something you must understand there are many who believe if you were born then you never had true innocence, only those hand crafted and personally anointed by God have that privilege." Lrya eyes held sadness and disgust.
"Who are they to persque others based on their beliefs? Are they, the creator of them? They aren't! So, what authority do they have to force their rules and beliefs on to others? God has all the power to do so, yet he allows them to have their own way knowing Karma, Fate, Death, they are alive and well. Only they are allowed to share punishment, it's a privilege reserved for them!"
The ground shook as the war stopped, a gush of wind aggressively ran through the battlefield uplifting the once dormant dust. Everything became covered in their grey being. Cracks appeared under feet, their long crooked being stayed slim allowing vibrant flowers to suddenly sprout and bloom. Many soldiers from opposing sides followed the clear paths withing the field of sprouting flowers. At the center was a beautiful infant who held the elements of the universe and beyond with her wings. With each brush of air troops of soldiers bowed, unnatural galaxy eyes look out at the soldiers before laughing. She stood, looking further out as though searching for something. A frown immediately replaced her smile, she looked at the sky then at the earth shaking her head disapprovingly. Closing her eyes, she spread her arms and exhaled; green grass began appearing, dead bodies were buried and towering trees sprout from the earth.
"She's..... is she real?" Lyra smiled nodding.
"She was born from the innocent lives stolen and the good things destroyed. Though, this may be a vague description of her birth, it is all the knowledge I have but I was once told they, themselves see the process of their birth" she explained clearly.
"How is it possible?" Lyra shrugged with a smile.
"It occurs once the reason for their existence approaches" She giggled seeing my confused look, "A Chaos War, dear" she smiled.
My eyes widened in realization, "Is this the true form of a Chaos child?" she nodded, "Wow, I hope my form looks as unique as hers" Lyra smiled agreeing as the scene faded into mist.
"I know my visits aren't much help to you and most times they only confuse you further. I wish I could tell you every secret to your existence but my knowledge is limited. You are the second Chaos child to be brought into existence. The first child was a male after his birth there was only one instance where he was seen." Lyra looked at me apologetically.
"What happened?" My eyes looked at here impatiently.
"It was the Heavenly Purge, when rebellion almost swallowed the kingdom of light. He appeared and aided God; he was able to force them out of Heaven, when many were sealed in a dark realm. He stayed in Heaven for many years, helping God fight his fulfilling creation; one day after many discussions they finally was able to make a blueprint of God's fulfilling creation: Human beings." I had never heard the story of Humanity creation and I never thought it would be, this interesting.
"He disappeared after and no one knew or saw his face, only God" Lyra voice seem to grow softer with each word, "Our time seems to have come to an end".
I awoke with a jolt as though having been submerged in ice water, my lungs greedily drank air and my eyes released the tears that stung their being. My entire body was wet with clothes and sheets clinging to my skin, even my pillow was dreanched. Standin up I opened my palm allowing a luminous pearl to appear, it's clear blue being glowed as water particles ran from the fabric of mattress and sheet towards the glowing ball. Not long after, the bed was once again dry, I made my way to the bathroom stripping out of damp clothes before taking a warm shower. I got dressed and sat on the balcony while staring at the night sky my mind couldn't stop thinking of the infant girl's eyes.
My thoughts slowed down for a moment before my eyes widen with tears made their appearance Lyra had said there was only one before her and, that child was a boy so, did I witness the events which caused my birth? It still felt as thought there was a missing page to this story. If he came into existence to reset everything, why didn't he?
