WHAT AM I GONNA DO?!
I'm in the middle of nowhere. Nothing but birds, grasses, and mountains are all I'm seeing.
This is all of that old woman's fault, I mean fairy. What I have done to curse me this way?!
But is this for real?
Is this the time for me to doubt it knowing that the old woman and the fairy has the same identity? And here I am, trapped in a book!
"Hey! You damn fairy! Take me outta here!" I yelled.
Light forms in front of me. Little by little, it formed as human until it solidified as a creature with wings. It's the fairy.
"Damn you! Get me outta here!"
"You can get out of here if you have found the Infinity Necklace."
"Then what are you gonna do with that damn necklace?! Are you going to pawn that thing?! I'll just give you money if you need it!"
"You really have such bad attitude! I don't like the words coming out of your mouth!"
"And do you think I like the words coming out of your mouth?! The feeling is mutual!"
She didn't say any word back and disappeared out of nowhere.
"See?! See that?! You just disappeared out of nowhere and who do you think is rude between the two us?! I'm still talking do you even know that?!" I yelled.
"Do you think this is fun?!" I added.
What am I gonna do here?! Find that damn necklace in this sea of grasses?! Is she fooling me?!
I decided to walk. Though the sunlight is strong, the breeze of the wind is cool and fresh.
I've been walking for ages here. I think I have made 2 minutes walking. Arrrgh! It is very tiring! I'll kill that fairy the next time we meet.
Once I get out of here, she'll suffer.
If I am trapped in a book, then everything here must've looked like drawings. But everything here look and feel so real!
I walked further until I see a tree. The tree is not too big but it is full of leaves. It has a huge shadow covering a patch of grasses.
I'll take a rest first because I'm tired.
I sat down and leaned my back against the tree. Is this truly a punishment from that damn fairy?! Why am I not experiencing any hardship then?
"Damn it! How am I gonna get out of that's fairy curse?!" I yelled into nothingness.
No one can hear me so I'm just going to shout all of my burden.
"Then why don't you try to be a good and better person?" I looked around to find where the voice is coming from. I tried to widen my vision but there isn't any b*tch around.
"I'm up here!"
I looked up and there she is sitting on a branch. That stupid fairy.
"Are you the fairy of mushrooms?! You just appear out of nowhere and anywhere." I said insulting her.
"For your information, I am the fairy of gratitude. Just so you know."
"Fairy of Gratitude and you're giving me such punishment?!"
"Unless you learn your lesson, then you'll get the gratitude I'm ought to give you."
"What lesson are you talking about? I am Bryce Goodwill and you're trying to teach me?!"
"See? You are so rude and sarcastic! You'll get out of here once you've found the necklace and if you have been a better person."
"So what if I am rude?"
"Then, it's up to you what will happen to you next. If you'll die here inside of this book, I'll just take out your body from here so you'll have a proper funeral and your friends could mourn. If you have any friends."
And she's gone once again after she said that. Then who's rude now huh? Of course it's me.
"Wait! I have to say something!" I yelled.
She appeared abruptly. She also disappears that fast.
"What is it?" She asked.
"Your dress sucks. It doesn't suit you as a fairy. You can go now."
She raised her eyebrow and disappeared again.
I just thought, why does it have to be a book of nursery rhymes she'd imprison me? Even though any book is fine like a book of fairytales. Does she think I'll learn something here?
I'll just think of getting out of here later on. For now, I'll take a nap first under this tree.
The breeze felt so good making me sleep quickly.
"I'm so sorry Bryce, but I don't really like you. I was just forced to do this."
"You were forced to do this? How can you say that?" I asked.
"Your friends gave me money in exchange of dating you just to say you have a girlfriend."
Why did they do that? Have I been a worst friend for them to do that to me?
Everything shifted and another image appeared. Now, my friends are in front of me. So called friends.
"Sorry Bryce! We noticed that..."
"You should'nt do that! It doesn't matter to me if I have a girlfriend or not!"
"We're so sorry Bryce! We know..."
"It's enough! You've done enough!"
Everything went into nothingness.
I opened my eyes seeing a guy in front of me.
"Aaaahhhhh!" Both of us yelled.
"Who are you?!" I yelled.
"Who am I?!" He yelled back at me.
"What are you doing here?!"
"What am I doing here?!"
"Are you kidding me?!"
"Am I kidding you?!"
"Tell me! Who are you?!"
"I'll tell you! Who am... Who are you?! Why are you here on the bed of stars?!"
He finally went back to his sanity. What does he mean by the 'Bed of Stars'?
It's already dark. I must've slept too much. Why does the sky feels so near above us?
"What bed are you talking about? Are you crazy? These are all grasses and there isn't any bed around here." I said.
"Where did you came from?" He asked.
"Will you please cut it out?! Why are you watching me sleeping?! Are you a pervert?! You're a dude and you're perverting a dude too?!" I exclaimed.
"Wait, I don't understand. What are you talking about?"
"It doesn't matter. Who are you?"
"I'm Samuel Crescent. I am an adventurer from the land of the north. Who are you?"
"I came from Manila. Name's Bryce Goodwill."
My attention went back to the sky. It really feels like the sky is near us.
"What's happening?" I asked. I'm in panic. The sky might crush us any moment.
"You're on the Bed of Stars."
I understood what he meant.
"Stars go down here every night." Godt said.
Beautiful. Elegant and bright. Stars are truly everywhere.
I ran around like a kid. Stars continued falling down slowly. Only the moon remained in the night sky. This place is beautiful! It truly is.
I sat down and tried to touch the stars. They were like inflated balloons in motion and goes down slowly.
I lied down. I'm wearing my hoodie that's why it doesn't feel itchy on skin.
"Twinkle twinkle little star. How I wonder what you are. Up above the world so high. Like a diamond in the sky." I suddenly sung.
"Was that a song from your world?" Godt asked.
"Why do you ask? Are we even friends?" I said.
"Your voice is pleasant to hear. You have such a good voice."
"It is a nursery rhyme. Children are singing it every now and then in my world. Twinkle twinkle little star is the title of the song."
I sat up and threw the stars around us. Stars felt weightless but everytime you leave it on air, it goes down slowly as if we're on outerspace but it is just us which is affected by gravity.
I looked around observing grandiose of these lights. They're fireflies. I followed their motion with my head watching them as they gather on the tree. Now, this tree is covered from the lights of these amazing insects.
As I looked with the other person with me, Samuel, it felt bizarre as if these lights are commandeered by someone. I'm having such a weird feeling as of the moment. Did slow motion just happened?
Stars lit Samuel's face. His face is calm and handsome. Slow motion was doubled and my heart skipped a few beats.
Every millisecond felt like magic. Everything is truly a magic. But everything is still unreal. Things like these won't exist in my world.
Even Samuel which is a character from this book is not even real.
"You haven't answered my question. What is your purpose and why are you here?" He asked.
"I came from another world. A fairy cursed me and imprisoned me here." His eyes circled as if he was shocked.
"I'm looking for the Necklace of Infinity." I added.
