I woke up early in the morning to prepare our things for another departure.
I saw Bo Beep's father preparing our breakfast.
"I'll help you." I offered.
"Thank you, Hijo but I can do this. Just sit back and wait."
"I can do this. You can just fix the table for us."
He smiled and thanked me.
You must've been in doubt about my skills in cooking. I can say that I can cook fine food even though I'm a child of a rich family.
"You know what Hijo, you're such a kind-hearted kid. You're ready to help someone who's in need." He says.
If he knew what happened that I could've not helped Bo Beep, he won't say that.
But what he said is true. I am ready to help others when they need to. Even a drunk man who happened to commute by himself has been helped by this kid.
But what happened to me?
"No problem. That's just a small thing to do so." I replied.
"Whatever you and Samuel want to achieve, you'll successfully have it together."
I've let a shy smile. I feel so guaranteed because of what he said.
I went upstairs to wake up Samuel after I've finished cooking. The table is ready as well.
I heard someone laughing while in the middle of the staircase. That was Bo Beep for sure.
As I open the door, I saw Samuel tickling and playing with Bo Beep.
What is this weird feeling? I've almost imagined Samuel is with my child in the future. I shrugged it off because that was weird. Like, REALLY.
"Come on downstairs, we'll have our breakfast," I said. They immediately followed and took our breakfast downstairs.
"You must have a lot of difficulties while you travel. I'll be giving you one of my horses." Bo Beep's father said.
YES! FINALLY! WE NOW HAVE A HORSE TO USE! BWAHAHAHAHA!
"Thank you krap!" I said.
Mister prepared the horse right after eating. This is good! I won't get tired anymore!
"This is my gift for you two. This is my thanks for helping out my daughter Bo Beep."
"Are you sure you're going to give us your horse? This could be a big help for your living." I said.
"We still have two adult horses and three calves. One horse isn't a big thing for us."
"Thank you na! This is such a big help for the two of us." Samuel said.
"Please take care of each other. I hope the two of you will be happy." Bo Beep said.
It sounded like Samuel and I was husband and wife because of what she said. That's natural for the children to say nonsense things because they don't know what they say.
We departed formally and took our way to another adventure.
"What name could this horse be called?" I asked. I don't know how to sit properly on a horse's back that's why I gripped and clung towards Samuel the bigtime.
"Was that necessary naming a horse?" He asked back.
"Of course! This is a great gift for us and that's what makes him deserving of such a name."
"Then, what do you think?"
I thought of a unique yet memorable name. Should it be my friend's name? It fits and truly a good name for an animal.
"What about Xerneos? It's good isn't it?" I asked.
"Hmm... a good name! Then, we'll call him Xerneos." He answered.
Traveling with our horse Xerneos isn't going to be easy. We have a lot of things to bring especially Samuel since we first met. I don't have things to bring with me because of that damn fairy who imprisoned me inside this book.
Good thing Mr. Johnny Sr. gave me some clothes.
Knowing that most of the characters in a fairytale don't change their clothes. But we change our clothes here. I don't wanna smell bad.
Bad smell Bryce is a no-no!
My groin eventually hurts while still riding a horse.
We happened to pass by a cart under a tree. Seems nobody owns this cart since there are no houses nearby. Samuel seems to be interested as well. Though the cart looks old, it can be used as it seems.
"Do you want to take a rest first?" Samuel asked. I know what he means. He has something to do with this cart.
"Okay. I'll take a rest first under this tree." I answered.
Samuel started to pull repair tools out of his bag.
I wonder if he does have any tools for broken egos and hearts.
Samuel went to the forest-like part of this place. Such until I haven't seen any Samuel within my sight. Where will he go huh?
I guess he'll leave me alone here.
I tried to wait for Samuel under a tree. Hoping he would come back. I've tried to be patient in waiting until a lamb happened to meet me and asked a question.
"Excuse me, do you know where Mary is?" The lamb asked.
"Nope. There's no one named Mary who happened to pass by here." I answered.
Wait... a lamb talked to me and I answered its question.
"Waaaaahhhh!" I screamed.
"How the f*ck you could talk?!" I asked hysterically. I must be crazy. I just asked the lamb a question.
"I know how to speak and I've been doing that for so long. You seemed to be surprised." The lamb answered.
I started thinking rationally.
I almost forgot that I was trapped here and this place was full of magic. It's funny that I was surprised just now.
"Never mind."
I know this. This was the lamb of Mary in the nursery rhyme 'Mary had a little lamb'
"I lost her and now I'm looking for her," Lamb said.
This lamb won't get it if I'm going to say what I wanted to say. That's why its title was Mary had a little lamb. Mary probably intentionally lost her lamb.
"Let's just look for Mary then. Let's wait for my friend first." I said.
Samuel suddenly appeared with such speed and tired sweating.
"I heard you were screaming. Is there anything wrong? Were you hurt?" Samuel asked with his hands on both arms.
"There's nothing wrong here," I answered.
"It's good knowing that. I was just worried about you."
