Hours later, we got back on track. We were almost back to Kingdom Shadow. I can tell by the sounds. I'm starting to feel nervous and scared. I haven't been back since I ran away. I wonder if anything has changed since I been there.
"Hey Hem, has anything changed?" I asked as I was curious and wanted to make conversation.
Hem looks back at me as if he didn't want to talk. "You'll see when we get there. Now, no talking," he said as he looked back to where he was looking.
I roll my eyes. Well, this is great. Maybe if I hum, then maybe, just maybe, Xzan will be able to find me. I wonder if he knows that I'm gone. Ack! I shouldn't think about that. I know he's noticed that I'm not there or maybe someone has told him that I'm missing. I hope that he'll come soon so that I don't have to see my parents, but I feel like I'll see them no matter what. Anyways, I start to hum to distract myself and to make sure that if a spy from Xzan can hear me.
As I started to hum, Hem looked at me with a serious face. "No humming either."
"Then what can I do?"
"Nothing, absolutely nothing."
"Well, it's too quiet and I need noise."
"That's too damn bad. I don't care."
"You should care when I tell my parents," I said as I looked at him with a serious face. I know that would work as it used to.
"Ok? You're parents won't care. Besides, I'm on their good side and they favor me," Hem said as he smirked.
"You put a spell on them, didn't you?" I asked as I knew what he meant when he said that.
Hem chuckled. "Maybe I do. Maybe, I don't. Who knows, Aphmeow."
I knew right then and there that he did put them under a spell. "You won't get away with this."
Hem didn't reply after that.
At that time, we were back home. We were in front of the gates.
