"My sweet daughter!" He exclaimed. It sounded like he had been crying.
"Put me down, Father!" I blurted out, not realizing it.
He then soon put me down. "I-I am sorry," he said.
"It is fine," I mumbled.
"Where have you been?" He asked.
"I have been living in Broken Shields and I'm the head knight and also kind of the right-hand woman of the prince," I stated. I didn't want to tell him where I had been and what I was doing over there, but it slipped out of my mouth before I had even realized what I had said.
"So, you ran away to kingdom that you were going to be the princess of?" He asked, curious about it.
"Yes, but I didn't know that it was that kingdom," I stated, "I wouldn't have gone there if I knew that's where I was supposed to be the princess of."
King Klaus looked at me. I could tell that he was going to lecture me.
Mom saw and looked at him, before clearing her throat. "Love, don't do what I think your about to do."
Dad looked at her and nodded.
I looked at mom and smiled. I wish my dad weren't like this. I know he means well for me; I just can't deal with it sometimes. I honestly wonder if he truly knows how I feel about getting married and being stuck in a place.
"Why are you back here?" Dad asked as he was confused.
"Didn't you and mom send out a wanted poster of me?" I asked.
They look at each other and then back at me, shaking their head no. "We mean we did, but we figured that you would come back on your own to visit or come back home."
"Who told you that we had put out a wanted poster of you?" Mom asked.
"Hem. He had found me and kidnapped me. He told me that you two sent out a wanted poster and the reward was that whoever found me and brought me back home; and would get to marry me," I said. 'Hem lied. I had a feeling that he was.'
"Why would he say that?" Dad asked.
"I don't know, but he's crazy and made me into a meif'wa. He was the one who made me forget about Xzan. Hem was jealous of Xzan, because I kept talking about him and I's future and how we'd get married," I said as I was trying to remember what he had all said.
