Chapter 23 - Part: Twenty-Two: The Real Reason?

"Good," Hem said as he smiled, "also, you better not be planning on escaping."

"What if I am?" I asked as I wanted to see what he would do, even though I had a good idea of what he was going to do if I was planning to escape.

"You don't want to hear what I'd do. But you know, I'll give you a hint of what I would do. It involves your family," Hem said as he smirked.

"You wouldn't dare on hurting my family. You wouldn't live to see another day if you did that."

"Oh. I have and I will continue to live," he said as he walked away.

"What do you mean?!?! Hem!!!" I yelled as I jumped down from my tree. I ran to him with my dagger in hand.

Hem heard me jump down. He stopped. "I've hurt you and I've lived to see years go on."

I got to him and put my dagger up to his neck. "Years?" I didn't know what he meant, unless he thinks that him putting a spell on me as hurting me.

"Oh, its been atleast ten years," Hem said as he stepped closer to me.

I stand still with my dagger to his neck. "Ten years? I was six years old. That was when the spell was put on me. You think that the spell would hurt me if the spell broke and I would be mad to the point i would hurt myself or the people around me, am I right?"

"Well, you were hurting the people around you when you ran away and especially to your old crushe's kingdom and became the head knight, which ultimately you were hurting them and yourself," he chuckled.

I looked at him. I start to put my hand down and as I do, I ask him, "why?"

"Why?"

"Yes why? Why are you doing this? Is it to get my attention or try to continue what your father had started?"

"Why I'm doing this? Well, that's easy. I want your attention, but also to continue with what my father had started," Hem stated as he got closer. His face was inches away from mine. "Aph, you don't get it and you will never get it. My father was a head of his time with the things he did or made."

"Hem, your right, I don't get it, but I could get it if I wasn't under control of everyone," I said, "you don't understand how much pressure the princes' and princesss are under when everyone thinks that you're goign to be like your parents. Or how much pressure the first born has. Or how much it makes me angry when I hear what the people say about my family and Xzan's family. You'll never understand that. Never will you understand what I had to go through when I ran away from home and had to start anew and always be on guard when I heard someone talking about my family and how they had put up a wanted poster with a handsome reward. You will never understand that. Nor will you understand how terrified when I had found out that I was turned into a mei'fwa." I put my hand back up and even closer to his neck this time to where if he moved closer I could put my hand around his neck or even punch him in the throat. It could be a terrible move as he could kill me right here.
