'Monday, why couldn't school start on Friday and be just a few hours?' I thought, yawning as I blocked out the English teacher, Mrs. Redmond. My thoughts drifted to the events that took place after I woke up from the excruciating experience.

Father Romero looked at me with the group of gargoyles and Witches standing there as I opened my eyes. "What happened?" I asked, feeling groggy as my throat felt raw.
"You passed out, it's normal because I turned the lads here into gargoyles when me dear sister asked me too." The Witch leader told me as Catriona rolled her emerald-colored eyes as my leader gave me a glass of water, which I drank. I nodded my head as I gave the glass back as I looked under the blanket and noticed that I was wearing my pants from before the transformation spell occurred.
I looked around the room, figuring out who put my clothes on my naked body. My gray eyes met the brothers and Father Romero shaking heads as I turned to the group of girls, only to find them blushing. My eyes locked on my leader as she avoided eye contact.
Ignoring the fact that my leader dressed me, I removed the blanket and sat up, noticing that I developed a visible six-pack. "So, how did I change back? All I remember is an enormous pain, my veins were on fire as I… I don't know, grown?" I said as I ran my left hand through my short, caramel hair as I sat back down on the bed.
Ezekiel came forward. "Sorcha, the leader of the Witches, told Catriona to put the talisman on you as you passed out. Magic stored there acts as an emergency signal telling you if any danger is near, and other things you will find out for yourself." He said as I noticed a sapphire, no bigger than my thumbnail, encased in brass wire hanging around my neck.

I felt my head hitting the desk as I heard what sounded like a gunshot. I jumped in my chair, my teacher locked the door, and a few students pulled the covers down on the windows afterward, Mrs. Redmond turned off her school-issued computer. She killed the lights as we hid against her desk, away from the door as the thirty-six students clumped together behind it.
A gunshot sounded again, this time closer. Light from my amulet shone dimly, alerting me that the threat was coming closer. The students were silently praying as the footsteps grew louder. I felt my skin hardening as I swiftly scaled the wall behind me with my claws, removing myself from the group as the doorknob rattled.
"Freddie, I just want to talk, please son!" The person said in a male voice shooting the hinges and the doorknob as it fell, leaving a man with a small revolver in his hand and scratches on his face. As he walked over the threshold, I gave out a growl, dropping from the roof in front of him with my knees bent, claws out, and wings outspread.
I took a step forward as he screamed and wildly shooting the rest of the bullets. My wings moved in front of me like a shield, protecting the students, teacher, and I. The slugs approached, as they neared me, the stone inserted in my chest, glowed and a thin icy blue aura surrounded my body as the bullets crumpled and fell to the ground. Puzzled by the development, I advanced towards the man. The man looked frightened as I proceeded; it only got worse when he realized that he was out of bullets.
With a clawed hand, I snatched the gun away and crusted the weapon. Realizing the terror he now faced, the man turned, running out of the classroom. I gave out a graveled laugh as I followed him from the darkened room into the lit hallway. "This'll be fun," I said, grinning like a predator catching its prey as I walked outside.
I saw him turning a corner, making me miss the intruder. Thankfully, I knew these hallways, and the doors leading to the outside world. Turning the edges, I crawled hastily on the walls, allowing for the talons on my feet to dig into it like how they did in the classroom.
Quickly, I came to the doors that led to the parking lot. Dropping by the corner of the wall, wishing to become invisible, the amulet obeyed as my body blended in with my surroundings as I noticed that the outline of my body glowed blue. I smiled as the panicked man came near me. My tail laid out as I watched him come closer. 'Now!' I acted as my rear slid up his ankle and forced him to trip.
He screamed as I let out another growl. As I disabled the invisibility spell placed on me, I pounced on him, one clawed hand rising, the other hand set firmly around his throat. "Never come here again!" I commanded him, swinging the razor-sharp claws near his face, making him scream in horror. It had an effect scaring him even more as I smelled urine under me. As I removed myself, he bolted out the nearest door, screaming his head off about demons.
Turning invisible once more and watching out of amusement, I saw the person get tackled by a few men and women in blue, and they ended up putting handcuffs on him. I chuckled as he attempted to squirm, telling the police that there was a demon within the building. I looked to see if anyone was outside their classrooms to see if the noise got their curiosity.
"Guess I should get back to class," I told myself as I sheathed my wings into my back with minor grunts and growls of discomfort as I walked back to class, turning the corner to the classroom. Before stepping into view of the room, I quietly made my way to an open spot on the ground before becoming a visible human once more.
