A few days after the Six Flags incident the news finally died down, I received an unknown number asking to meet at the Bank of America Plaza in Dallas, Texas. I then told them I would go out, thankfully they allowed it with it being nine o'clock. Upon opening the door, it misted.
"Great… I don't know whether to be grateful or to be ungrateful." I said, looking at the slight rain as I ran to hail a taxi. I told the driver the location as she sped off towards the building. Upon reaching the bank, I gave her the cash. "Keep the change ma'am, thank you for the ride," I told her as I ran inside the building.
Shaking the rain off me, I removed the hoodie from my head to appear less hostile. Thinking about the security within, I went to the restroom to avoid security cameras giving away my secret and making headline news. After I entered a stall, I activated the invisibility spell and left the bathroom for the elevator.
'I have to stop using the bathroom so often.' I thought as I raced to the nearest one that was opening, I was thankful for the clan's gift for practically being a phantom, unseen and unheard. When I entered an elevator, I bumped into someone. 'Dang it' I thought as the tired and lanky, middle-aged man looked around and just assumed he gently hit the doorway before they closed.
Thankfully, the man pressed the intended button for me as I smiled at him unknowingly. While he slept for a few blissful seconds, I woke the man when we both reached the top. 'The rain's getting heavier, what's he doing on the roof?' I thought as we both walked with the roof slick under our feet.
The man and I separated as I looked into the sky to see any creatures in flight. The rain made the concealment harder to detect clan mates and enemies. As the man walked to the edge, I grew worried. I made my way to him but kept my distance.
As the exhausted man sat down, I saw a pair of blue and purple eyes, hidden in the elevator's shadow. When I turned my head to find the man, he had jumped. "No!" I screamed, jumping over the edge head first.
Sailing downward against the icy rain and stinging wind didn't slow me down as the man plummeted to his death. With my smaller mass, I sped past the senior man as we raced to the concrete. Turning in mid-air, we faced each other as I grew out my extra limbs and braced for our impacts to meet.
When the impact met, it bewildered me as the man faded away into smoke. I stood there, flapping my wings as I pondered what had happened. After remembering the purple eyes hidden in the shadows, I flew to where the man fell. Once there, I released a growl from within my throat "come out."
Upon hearing the command, Catriona and a woman of ebony skin with strong cheekbones remove themselves from the shadows. The ruler of the Cameo clan smirked to the woman beside her as the slender but short woman rolled her eyes.
"Purple eyes, are you one of the Anyest members, aren't you miss?" I asked the woman as she sized me up with her eyes.
I am, child, just as Catriona is the leader of your clan, I am the leader of mine. Julia Fernando, leader of the Anyest clan, ruler of the Eastern side of the country." She said, shaking my hand as I took it out. When we removed our hands, I looked around expecting others to join us.
After looking for a bit, I knew that we were the only ones on the roof. "So why am I here?" I asked as Catriona rubbed her arms. "Catriona, you okay?"
She shook her head as the pouring rain turned into a mist. The leader of the Illusion clan gave out a sigh, "We will help the Cameo clan when they duel against those undead bloodsuckers. The reason being is that one of them injured the priest at the church you all frequent, not to mention a few of the witches of the Blue Moon Coven." My eyes grew as thunder roared across the gray and blackening sky.
I curled my clawed hands into fists, letting loose a growl. My wings gave a large flap as I ascended into the sky. "I'll be back. I will make sure the convenes are okay!" With lightning striking behind me, I made my way above the clouds, at least until the storm stopped.

Upon arriving at the national forest where I became a part of this world, the trees were too thick for me to see, so I decided it was time to get dirty. When I was on the ground, I changed into a human, for the likelihood I would leave footprints in the slippery mud. Knowing that the coven liked to hide from the mundane, I remembered that Nancy told me to look for something out of place.

With the storm now softening, I entered the forest with my eyes darting around, looking for anything abnormal. After accidentally sliding a few times on a slope, I noticed the amulet was emitting light. That was also when I saw what looked like a rune carved at the foot of a pine tree.
After looking around, I caustically let my hand hover over the rune. 'Well now, that certainly is out of place.' I thought as I tapped the mark as I stepped back, unsure of what would happen.
When the mark glowed briefly, the tree trembled and revealed a doorway in the middle of the tree. The hole looked empty of life and any source of light as I poked my finger into the tree, and when I pulled it out, I still had it. After looking around the tree for anything else, I ventured into the darkness.
