Chapter 4 - Meet for the First Time

Walking on the street while searching for her target Sarah was trying to find the reason this person was wanted dead. Being a spy could be a solid one, mostly because of all the enemies a person creates because of their duty and it definitely would explain why someone would want him to die.

But still ...

The client seemed to be working in the same branch. Then was it a war between colleagues, probably caused by jealousy? Or he might have betrayed the organisation...

If so he would have been of great help. But couldn't the opposite way around be a possibility as well. Of course it could!

All these thoughts started pissing Sarah off. There was nothing more irritable than not having an answer to her questions.

Just when she was about to head back to her apartment, she saw a figure that really reminded her of her target.

She looked around and started following it.

The closer she got to it the more was she able to see how the objective actually looked like.

It was a man, about 180 tall and his body was definitely fit. So far everything matched.

Now she had only two ways around:

to continue following him quietly and hope not to be seen, which had a really small likelihood of success keeping in mind the fact that he was working for the FBI. So she was somewhat forced to use the second option.

She had to win his trust.

*Sigh* "You do what you have to do"

She headed towards him and bummed into his body.

- Oh! I'm so sorry! - She said trying to make it seem as natural as possible.

- No, no. Don't worry. It's fine. - Was the answer.

- But your jacket?! - Said Sarah looking at his jacket, which now had a big coffee stain on itself.

- Oh, I didn't notice it... - A little smile appeared on his face. - Really don't worry. I'll clean it later."

- But I still feel awful... How can I make it up to you?

- No need, seriously.

- What would you say for a cup of coffee? I own you one.

- Well okay. Since you are so stubborn.

- Four o'clock in the café across the street?

- It's fine with me. - Said the guy and one more smile appeared on his face.

Sarah continued ahead and when she was at a safe distance she stopped and turned her head back.

At least now she knew where exactly he would be in a small part of the afternoon.

Without a doubt the thought of following him passed through her mind, but it was fastly rejected mostly because of the fact this guy was a professional spy, which made it too risky and now, when he knew how she looked like, the possibility of her being catched was even higher than before.

If anyone like him found out the way she gets her money, not only she, but her parents as well were in great danger.

On her way back to her apartment she started making her plan of success. The "accident" had really helped her to get a better idea of what she had to deal with.

His body was fit. Too fit for her to win against him in a physical fight. His eyes definitely looked as if they never missed even the smallest detail. He had a perfect poker face, which was carefully hidden by better said smirks than smiles.

Every inch of him was full of secrets and every movement of his was strictly calculated before being made.

Such a mysterious guy shouldn't be underestimated. Each move's intention towards him had to be even better hided than his.

Now she couldn't even be a hundred percent sure that the information she was given was true. What if this person had thought of a similar situation happening and internationally made up false statements about his persona?

He could definitely be that smart.

So how could she confirm it?

It wouldn't be helpful if she just asks him directly, most surely he would repeat what was written.

No, she had to act smart.

She had to make him trust her fully or at least be close enough to him to get to know the truth even if he didn't want that to happen.

But how?
