After a few minutes Sarah was all done with her signing in and closed her laptop with a breath of relief. It was all done and now she only had to do the stupid test. How hard could it be?
She laid down on her bed and slowly closed her eyes. She was glad with what she did and finely let herself rest for a little.
But her break did not last long, because unexpectedly, as if stroked by a light she realized how much more she actually had to do. She was a genius, yes, but even Einstein wouldn't be able to manage with all that was left. Now not only did she had to make sure to get in, which would be easily done, even if she failed the entry test, but to later keep up with the other students too and as if this wasn't enough she had to keep up with her work, because finishing Zack Dobro wasn't the only mission she had.
With that thought coming up to her, she quickly stood up and ran back to the laptop. She had forgotten to check when the exam date was!
"Sh*t! I have only five days to prepare! Five days to learn things that require ten months for learning and perfecting!"
With the speed of light she took her backpack and teared to the closest library. She was going to sleep over the books if needed, but she had to be sure she was going to get in fair and square. That had nothing to do with her abilities in the IT field, it was all about pride!
After getting inside the library she went to the sector with school books and immediately checked her phone to see which were the best reviewed student books out there and take them all, up to number 5.
The librarian looked at her with the typical questionable look one would give Sarah when they saw the three feet pile she took to the checking bureau.
- Are you sure you want to take all that? – asked the old lady while scanning the first book
- Yes, I am. – answered Sarah, even though she knew the woman before her couldn't care less.
- Will you manage to return them on time?
- I'll do my best.
- You know, you are the first person I've seen in a while to not just sit and read in the studying hall.
This was obviously a lie, which was supposed to make Sarah stay in the library and let the book keeper keep an eye on her. She was not surprised. Even the most stupid person on this planet would have found her rather suspicious when taking this big pile of books, when having entered this place only twice in her life and never taking anything home. It's probably unnecessary to add that both times were in order for her to spy on ex targets, but of course the staff didn't know about that. They only saw a girl in her teenage years staying in the library, nothing out of the ordinary.
- I'm not much of a sociable person when it comes to studies, thank you.
By the time the pile was to its end. The librarian checked the last book and gave a piece of paper to Sarah.
- Here. The titles of the books you take and the deadline for them to be returned.
- Thank you.
The girl lifted the heavy heap of paper work and walked straight home.
Inside the library, on the street, in the corridors of the block of apartments she lived in, everyone was strangely staring at her and how funny she actually looked while caring this mass of books that was half her size. But she didn't pay attention to those stares at all. In her mind was only the things she had to do once she enters the door of her home and the rearrangements of her schedule she had to make in order to learn everything she had in her hands in less than five days.
The unlocking of the door was a challenging task to do when holding dozens of books.
After finely managing to get inside her apartment, the first thing she did was to put the books down and then check the fridge.
"It's good think that I went shopping yesterday. The source of food is full and is waiting to be emptied."
She then made sure she had paid all her taxes so that no unrequired situations, such as getting out of electricity power or water, occurred.
"A cup of coffee and then I'm going to work. I will need energy for the next couple of hours."
