"Do you remember what happened last night?" I blurted out while watching Bianca stuff her face with food.
Her eyes widen a bit looking up at me, mid-bite before slowly swallowing and clearing her throat.
"um yeah...well not completely just...bits and pieces," she said after thinking for a minute.
"Do you remember who you were about to have a wholeass MMA fight with there?" I ask.
Looking back, I wouldn't of minded watching my best friend beat up Delilah, it'd definitely be worth the watch if I wasn't robbed from my sleep.
"No...? oh lord what did I do?" she asks with her head in her hands once again.
I chuckle, "you were about to rip Delilah to shreds-" Her eyes widen in shock before I continued,
" - and trust me when I tell you a lot of people had their money on you." I finish with a teasing smile.
She groans in annoyance at herself.
"Pleasee, tell me you took me out before I actually did it." I nodded at her while taking her now a finished plate of pancakes to the sink, "Yupp, she probably deserved it or something though and mostly everyone was drunk so I doubt they would even remember."
"Agh, I'm sorry for that, I usually keep control while drinking, and I wasn't thinking, I just needed to let loose cause of drama at track and whatnot and I lost it-" interrupting her rant of apologies I hold my hand up stopping her, "You take care of me almost all the time I get drunk, I simply did what friends do, so now shutup and tell me about the tea sis"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"-and that pretty much sums up everything." B finishes, glancing up to look at my fuming face.
"WHY HADNT YOU TOLD ME BEFORE?" I practically growl at her, clenching my fists simultaneously imagining 110 different ways to beat up the rest of the track team.
So apparently ever since the start of the year, which was in September (its march now btw) when B first joined the team, she was one of the youngest and the seniors (more specifically a girl named Elisa, shes the school bitch, and her pep squad, of course) had been giving her a hard time getting accepted, which personally if you ask me I wouldn't mind, they're a bunch of ignorant assholes anyway.
However, I knew how much it meant to Bianca so I could see why it would affect her so much.
They would make snarky comments and give off dirty looks to her in the hallways and in training and even went as far as to threaten the rest of the newbies to be as bitchy to her as they were or else they'd go off on them too.
I let a huff in annoyance listening to Bianca rambling on why it's all better now and not a big deal anymore.
"but honestly need to stand up for yourself, this isn't okay." "I know, but it's fine, at least I'll learn not to give a shit anymore this way."
Not understanding the logic behind my friend I let the topic drop, for now, noting to have a little 'chat' with Eli next time I see her.
A few moments of silence pass between us before Bianca's phone starts to ring with her mother's name flashing across her Harry Styles wallpaper.
visually gulping she nervously looks at me with questioning eyes. "don't worry I told her you were sleeping over after pizza last night."
Picking up the phone hastily putting it against her ear she whispers thanks before having a good minute conversation with her mom, hearing a "but-" "okay" "fine, but-" every few seconds so Bianca decides to keep her mouth shut, hearing her mother's lecture on how worried they were that she didn't tell them earlier she was going to stay over.
Shoving her phone back into her jeans pocket, Bianca tells me that she's needed back at home immediately, so she makes her way out promising to be back later on.
I figured that there was no point in trying to go back to sleep so I contemplate cleaning up the house, it's not exactly dirty, but not clean either.
Thus, I actually ended up spending my time playing a green day album and humming to the rhythm while doing chores.
About an hour or so later, I make up my mind to go to the cafe and perhaps see my mother. I mean I do seem to have quite some time to kill, so why not make the most of. it?
Leaving a note on the fridge and a plate of pancakes for Adi on the kitchen counter, I slip my crocs on and make my way across the street to Cup o' Jones.
The bells above the door chimed as I entered the shop and I allow myself to smile, looking at Ma having her back towards me talking to Aunt Mar at a table in the far end of the small, dimly lit cafe.
I walk up behind her quietly with a finger on my lips, indicating a message to Aunt Mari while I cover Ma's eyes with my hands, "Guess who???" "Hmm, probably my favourite child." Ma said chuckling. I enthusiastically remove my hands and plop myself next to her as I beam, "heck yeah!"
"Oh, it's just you." I let out a loud fake gasp mock hurt. "You wound me mother!" rolling her eyes at me she mutters "dramatic much?" Aunt Mar chucked at that too and I smile at her before screaming "HEY AUNT MARII!",Gaining the attention of a few people on the tables around us.
"SHHHHH" she whisper-screams back at me before we let out a couple of giggles.
Aunt Mari was a tender woman in her early 40s, she had a rimmed tiny diamond-encrusted purple hello kitty glasses with ebony hair and a few grey strands to match.
She's like a 12-year-old in a 40-year-old body which makes her one of the purest souls I've ever met, She's always treated me like a daughter and I absolutely adore her to bits.
She even has the same humour as me which comes in handy when it comes to embarrassing Logan in public.
Overall It was refreshing to catch up with the two elder women and before you know, the sun was starting to set.
Glancing at my phone to check the time I decide to head back home and check up on Adi since I hadn't seen him all day.
Waving goodbye to Aunt Mari and Ma, since she said she'd be home for dinner, I walk out and cross the street, making my way to our old apartment.
