Long ago the 4 nations existed in endless war. Constant death and madness filled the air. That was until the man known as King rose to the top. King wasn't a nice man, not by any means. He was cruel and monstrous man. King fought his way up the ladder leaving with no remorse for the casualties that followed suite. However as cruel as King was, he understood, in fact, the reason people followed him in the first place was because he understood. King had always known that if there was no peace soon, then the entire world would kill itself eventually. With this thought in mind King set out for a new goal, unity between the nations.
By the time King had finished making his master plan he had gained a large following. People from all over worshipped King and would make shrines just to pray to him, seeking forgiveness and riches. King didn't care about this however, the only thing King had on his mind was setting his plan in motion. King had devised a tournament based system to grade everyone who possesses elemental strength and assign them a position and rank based on how strong they are, the stronger the fighter, the more power they will receive. King created a school called "The School of Law" to help train host this tournament.
Everything was going well, students came far and wide to study at The School of Law, and martial and elemental masters came as well to see witness the prosperous school. With all the attraction the school was getting it soon came to draw the eyes of the 4 Origins. They were, as far as books go, the oldest elemental masters as well as the most powerful. It is said that they were so powerful that if the battled at full power it would alter the course of the entire planet. With the 4 Origins now looking at the academy King was now able to put his plan into motion.
King requests a formal meeting with the 4 Origins, while some thought that to be Absolutely outrageous and cocky, more experience people knew how smart of a move this was. If the 4 Origins deny this request after making their presence personally known then that would easily give them a bad and arrogant reputation. The 4 Origins accepted his request to meet with them as now King can now propose his resolution to ending the needless fighting and suffering.
"I, King, have fought for lives that I shouldn't have fought for, and because of it, have lost everything and everyone. However, after starting The School of Law I have become aware of what our world is capable of if we just work together. I have a proposal, if I may be so bold to ask to present it in front of the Origins?"
The Origins looked at each other, amused almost as if they weren't even paying attention and were just there to watch an animal plead his case. "continue" they said.
"As you know, The School of Law was made to assess anyone with elemental abilities and rank them into a general pool system where they can be given a status and portion of control. My plan with this system is to allow student to train and become stronger whilst under control. I think this system is fit to conduct and examine who is qualified to become a fit leader."
The 4 Origins smiled and with each word King said their smiles only got bigger and bigger
"Anyone who possesses any of the four elements will be allowed to participate in the tournament that will be held when enough candidates have been decided upon. Loss of life is probable but will hopefully be avoidable. In this world the strong will always devour the weak but this system will allow us to finally control that and use it to better us as a whole."
The Origins turned to each other and nodded, it had become clear that they had no interest in finding successors or saving this world. King could feel their murderous intent flowing of their bodies and weapons. The Origins had not accepted King's request out of fear of reputation, beings such as them couldn't care less about that, what they wanted was to get rid of King. The Origins had special information, as they were around for forever, they had also witnessed the birth of King and know who he truly is.
King walks up to them, glowing a beautiful gold "Well then" he says "looks like I was right after all."
