After leaving my town I walked along the large path and made sure not to stray. Finally the town was so far away not even the tallest building could be seen. I take a break on a cut tree stump and rest. I take off the backpack that Ali gave me before I left and searched through it in an attempt to find the map. I felt my finger graze what felt like paper so I fished it out. I open the paper and I see the cultivation methods the chief gave to me.
I stare at the paper with no train of thought for a while until I began thinking of actually trying it. I stare at the paper for a couple more seconds "fine I'll do it" I tell myself. I carefully read over the steps, memorizing them. A couple hours later of staring a Piece of paper I finally have all 5 steps memorized. I cross my legs and close my eyes and mind. "Step one" I say thinking to myself "know who you are. I often find myself asking this question a lot nowadays. After my dad left his ever lasting impression I struggled to see any future for me and I still have that problem. Because of this new element thing I'm being targeted by one of the most terrifying people in existence. What if..." A loud voice shouts in the background breaking me out of my own trance.
"STOP GIVE IT BACK" I stuff the cultivation paper inside my backpack and head over to see the problem. I quickly found the situation and hid behind a tree. In front of me I saw two muscular men wearing black shirts with their sleeves cut, they had black clothe tied around their waist. "As if they know martial arts they look so clunky and stiff" I whisper to myself.
After analyzing the two men I find myself looking at the victim. He was also quite built himself. He wore a traditional silk jacket with dragon patterns. "Pretty basic if you ask me" I say whispering. He has to be royalty then. His shoes were black cotton sole shoes, typical for practicing martial arts "no way their all fighters. Why did I have to be here at the wrong time?" I slowly calm myself down as the three were about to begin fighting.
"Please just give me back my medicine" the victim says. The two men did not seem to care "why so you can save mommy" they throw the medicine to the side with great force so they can run in and attack. I run towards the medicine in hopes I'll be able to catch it. I realized that I wasn't going to make it but I still clung to hope, I did a long leap to save the medicine but I wasn't going to make it still. Suddenly just before the medicine smashed into the ground the wind lifts it and holds it in place. I slam into the ground not expecting that to happen "hehe I forgot I can do that". I grab the medicine and begin heading back to the fight.
Meanwhile the two men had the victim cornered. One goes in for a punch while the other goes in for a low kick. The victim blocks both blows but was damaged. I walk in last second before they could finish him off. "Wait wait wait" I say dusting myself off. "who are you" the men say "I'm gale, a user of the wind element" all three of them look at me with confusion and for a moment their was an awkward silence. The two men start laughing at me. I felt as If I was shrinking like I didn't matter at all, as if they were so big that I just became tiny. Then I remembered. "Step two stop seeking approval" I concentrated on the wind tried to imagine myself using it. Then I felt the burst of wind expel from my body also like last time but this time I felt super light like I could float up to the sky.
I dashed towards one of the men and threw a massive punch. I didn't want to hurt them too much but I ended cracking his ribs and winding him. The other guy stared me in the eye and walked away with his companion. I calmed myself down and took a couple of deep breaths. I look at the victims face and saw how terrified he was. I started walking towards him. "Hey there are you o-" he gives me a big hug and that's when I could feel his aura. "So not only can I control wind and analyze anything but I can also sense auras, this might be easier than I thought" I say in my mind.
I gently pull him off of me and give him his medicine that I had in my pocket. "You saved it?" He said. "yeah I did but don't worry about it, may I ask your name?" I say helping him up. "Aalto is my name. Yours is gale im assuming" he says dusting himself off "the one and only". Night started to set in and he had to go back to his town. He starts walking off and says thank you. But it wasn't long before I felt it. The malicious aura that was targeting him. They never left. "Hey Aalto" he turns around and looks back at me "why do you spend the night out here...with me". END
