"Ok Aalto let's rest here for a bit" I say sitting next to a tree "what? It's a three day trip we can't rest" man this dudes an over achiever "look Aalto" I say looking in his eyes "we've been walking for 2 days and barley rested. I'm tired as hell" Aalto sits down across from me "yeah I guess you have a point" finally I can get some shuteye. I close my eyes and prepared to take a much needed nap.
"Gale" Aalto whispers "gale". I slowly open my eyes an murmur "what is it" Aalto looks left and right "there's people here" I push Aalto back lightly "there's no one-" just like that I heard rustling. It was very quick and was coming from all around us. No, it was moving all around us "how many do you think there are" Aalto says "only two". I highly doubt they know we're here though. We should probably find out who's moving around us. "Get ready Aalto, we gonna follow the sound." Aalto gets ready and when I finish counting down from three we both attempt to chase the sound.
As we began to catch up to their speed the two figures appeared to be chasing each other. The one chasing has short hair and wore a tight Qing male blue and black hanfu. His figure was impressive. The other who is being chased has long black hair and also wore a tight Qing male black and red hanfu. His figure was a bit more slender. Both had lotus prints on their hanfu, I guess their from the same place.
As an experiment I trip the one in front being chased. "Aalto hide" Aalto nods and we both hide nearby. The one I tripped falls and he begins what looks like a conversation with the chaser. "That one hurt" he says on the ground "what's wrong can't fly anymore" the guy on the ground starts shifting backwards trying to escape. "You belong back in your cage birdy" the chaser starts to get closer to him. I look at Aalto and I could tell he wanted to intervene. This isn't good. I didn't set out to get someone killed. I shift Aalto with some light wind to get his attention. I put a finger over my mouth and begin to use my fingers to count down from three. All I can do now is hope Aalto got the message.
When I hit one we both launch ranged attacks. The chaser surprisingly leans backwards avoiding our attacks "who's there" he says looking around. Either he knew that was going to happen or his reaction speed is just that great "I know you're here, Your body heats are giving you both away". I quickly throw my head to Aalto and we both jump out of our hiding places. "THERE YOU ARE" he say with a crazy look on his face. Without any hesitation fire launches from his hand. Me and Aalto take the defensive and dodge. "AALTO LEFT" I yell running to the right. We attempt to flank both sides. simultaneously he creates a wave of fire much like a closing tide. We both back off and get back together
"Aalto I'm gonna need you to throw water and lots of it" Aalto looks at me with a confused look "did you not see his reaction speed "I did and it impressive" but if his reaction speed is that fast then this should work. "Aalto water now" a massive stream of water is hurled towards the chaser. Much like I'd hoped he countered the water with his fire causing steam to cloud the area "Aalto come on" I whisper "oh and grab him too"
