Life has been kind of boring for everyone, just normal school things, talking to friends and stuff. Until today, that is.
"I'm obviously faster at swimming than you are, Ronnie!"
"We'll see about that!" Luna walked into the school and saw Ronnie and Katrina arguing about who's the best swimmer.
"What the hell happened this time?" Luna asked, not surprised.
"They're fighting about who's faster at swimming," Eclipse answered. Luna rolled her eyes, annoyed.
"Where's the teacher when you need them?" She sighed.
"Oi! No fighting in school!" Mr. Rivaile scolded, getting in between the two. Ronnie and Katrina grumbled, taking their separate ways.
"Y'know... I kinda ship them together..." Luna commented. Ronnie and Katrina had a lot of similarities, both are arrogant, swimmers...
"Damn it, I don't know who to ship anymore!" Shion grumbled to herself.
"Luna, hey," Ronnie approached her.
"What did you this time?" Luna asked him.
"W-What are you talking about?" He asked, surprised.
"You're always getting yourself in trouble," Luna answered. You can't deny that Ronnie is always in some form of trouble, like with Sasha, or Shadow, Now Katrina.
"Oh... Well, not all the time! But... Who do you think is faster at swimming?" He asked. Luna thought about it.
"Mermaids are naturally fast at swimming, but Vampires are also pretty fast..." She wondered. To be honest, Luna thinks Katrina is faster at swimming than Ronnie, considering that she's a mermaid, but Luna doesn't want to hurt his feelings.
"Guess we'll find out Friday after school," Ronnie smirked. Now Luna was annoyed, Ronnie just started a swimming challenge, that starts in 3 days...
"How did I end up being friends with you...?" Luna muttered.
"F-F-friends...?!" Ronnie was shocked by what Luna said. She friend-zoned him, Ronnie Legendere. All the girls wanted him, so he was never in the friendzone, until Luna.
"What's up with you?" Luna asked, deadpanned; not realizing she friend-zoned Ronnie.
"I... I... um..." He stuttered still shocked. Luna backed up a little.
"I'm gonna head to class..." She said, turning around and walking away. Ronnie just stood there.
"What's your problem?" Daichi asked, appearing behind Ronnie.
"I've been friendzoned..." He muttered.
"Ouch..." Daichi chuckled.
Friday, 3:30 pm after school. The contest started, and most of the girls were cheering for Ronnie. He chuckled, standing near the pool to get ready for the contest.
"Wish me luck, sweetcheeks," Ronnie smirked at Luna, who was still in her Uniform. A lot of the students were still wearing their uniforms.
"Can vampires drown...?" Luna muttered, holding a towel for Ronnie. She watched him and Katrina start their challenge.
"You ready to lose, Legendere?" Katrina provoked.
"Ready to be embarrassed in front of everybody?" Ronnie retorted. Katrina growled at Ronnie's response.
"I feel like Ronnie will easily win this, but I kind of want Katrina to win, as bitchy as she is..." Luna commented as she watched the two swim dramatically. (Like that anime Free!) She got distracted for a bit but found that Ronnie had already finished and Katrina wasn't even halfway done.
"What the...?" Luna muttered when she saw Ronnie standing next to her, drying himself with the towel she was holding.
"Told ya I was faster," Ronnie winked at her.
"..." Luna didn't know what to say. She turned her head away for a few seconds and Ronnie is already next to her.
"Aren't ya gonna congratulate me?" Ronnie asked, jokingly.
"Uh... Congrats..." Luna faltered, moving some hair out of her face.
"There we go," He grinned, drying his hair.
"My friends and I are going to get pizza to celebrate my victory," He told her.
"You want me to tag along?" Luna guessed.
"Da," Ronnie said.
"Haha! I win Ronnie! In your face-" Katrina hopped out the water, seeing Ronnie stand next to Luna.
"Took ya long enough," He smirked.
"Huh... B-But how? I-I'm supposed to be the fastest!" She faltered, stunned.
"Hey... Told ya I was faster," He scoffed her off, turning back to Luna.
"So... are you coming?" Ronnie asked Luna, wanting to make sure she's coming.
"Sure, why not? I have nothing better to do," Luna shrugged. It would be nice to meet Ronnie's friends.
"I just need to go back home and change into something comfier," She added.
"Alright, see ya at that Italian restaurant... uh... what's it called again?" Ronnie awkwardly asked no one in particular.
"Romano's Pizzeria?" Luna guessed. That's her favorite pizzeria, the owner liked Luna since she spoke some Italian.
"Yeah, that place! Cya there," He told her, walking off to get changed.
In Luna's room; she put on her usual black and red hoodie with black shorts. Nyx walked in and was surprised with Luna's outfit.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Kid... you're going on a date, in that outfit?" Nyx sassed.
"It's not a date! And what's wrong with what I'm wearing?" Luna asked, scanning herself in the mirror.
"Isn't it obvious? You need to look good if you're going on a date," Nyx told her, rummaging through Luna's closet to.
"I told you, It's not a date! We're just going out to get pizza!" Luna retorted.
"Date, going out, different words, same meaning. Now, try this on!" Nyx held up a pair of ripped black jeans. Luna ditched her shorts and put the pants on.
"And take off the hoodie and put this on instead," Nyx handed Luna a grey zip-up jacket then Luna took off her black hoodie and put on the jacket instead, leaving it open a little to show her black shirt with a yellow crescent moon in the middle.
"... Nice..." Luna commented.
"See? You look like you're ready to play 7 minutes in heaven!" Nyx joked.
"Q-Que? S-seven m-minutes in..." Luna muttered, surprised by Nyx's statement.
"Okay... Maybe not 7 minutes in heaven, but you're defiantly ready to go on a date," Nyx corrected herself.
"Well... hurry up, you don't want to be late for your date with your badboy...." She teased, excited for Luna.
"For the last time, it's not a date!" Luna stated, tying the red laces from her black vans.
At Romano's Pizzeria. Luna just walked in and Ronnie was talking to his friends, Ash, Daichi, and Dante.
"Hey, Luna!" He waved at her. She walked over to his table, seeing his friends
"Lookin good, Bambina," An Italian guy with caramel brown hair in a medium side curl haircut and piercing pear green eyes, said.
"B-Bambina...? I-I'm not a kid!" Luna stuttered out, her face turning red. The four guys chuckled because it was cute. Luna had already taken a seat next to Ronnie but she felt a little anxious. She kinda expected some girls would be there, like someone's sister or girlfriend. It feels weird being the only girl in a group with 2 guys that you barely know and an Italian.
"Is your sis coming, Ash?" Ronnie asked.
"Aniyo, she was being a pain in the ass so I just ditched her and came here," Ash explained, rolling his denim blue eyes.
"I swear, Korean girls can be so bitchy," He commented.
"So..! you must the Luna Ronnie's been telling us about," Dante guessed.
"Io Sono Dante. Bella," He winked at her.
"Soy es Luna..." She reciprocated in Spanish. Dante looked impressed, Luna understood what he was saying. Ronnie blushed, thinking it was cute.
The pizza came and with extra garlic. Luna was a little confused, she loved garlic so she didn't notice at first. From what she heard, vampires can't have garlic.
"... Um... I-I thought v-vampire's couldn't eat garlic..." Luna said.
"Oh Bella, that's just a myth," Dante giggled. He's Italian, if he can't have garlic, then he might as well die.
(So that's why it didn't work on Ronnie and Shadow when they bit me,) Luna mentally sighed. She ate loads of garlic, so she thought vampires would hate her, but they adore her... for some weird reason.
"That myth is just propaganda the vampires made back in the 17th century so people would start eating more garlic, making it easier to drink their blood," Ronnie explained. He knew a lot about vampires considering his dad is the vampire king.
"A lot of things you hear about vampires are just myths. Can't be in sunlight, can't go over running water-"
"That one sounds like complete bullshit," Luna joked.
"Can't have garlic," Dante seethed.
"And we sure as hell can't fucking sparkle," Daichi added.
"Who's idea was that?" Ash asked.
"Stephanie Meyer..." Daichi replied.
"We also have a reflection," Ronnie added.
(I need to write a book or something about vampires...) Luna thought.
Coincidently, on Monday, she has to do a project about vampires with Ronnie.
"Ha, this should be easy," Ronnie said.
"Um... for you maybe..." Luna sweatdropped. Almost Everything she knew about vampires was a lie
"Oh yeah... How about you and I come over to my place for the project?" He suggested.
"Are vampire's really so complicated?" Luna asked.
"You'd be surprised, sweetcheeks," Ronnie answered, smirking.
