Yu Xingyun tightened his grip on the head that was hidden on the crook of his shoulder.
"Is it gone?" Luo Jin whispered laying stiffly against the warm body. He wanted to jump into a hole and hide there forever. He was ashamed after staying in that posture for too long. It would be alright if their positions were reversed but he had to be the one to be hugged.
"Don't move." Yu Xingyun said against his ear gently and pulled him closer to him as if he wanted to integrate him with himself.
Luo Jin felt his heart itchy and unbearable as if the impact of his voice has directly reached his heart and swept it like a light brush of a feather. He could hear his soft breathing against his ear very clearly in the cramped place.
He would have done something that wasn't suitable to do at that moment if they weren't inside the small janitor's closet where he was having a hard time even moving.
Yu Xingun was unaware of the messy thoughts that were swirling inside the person who was in his arms, he was too busy listening to the muffled groans and screams outside the janitor's closet. He closed his eyes and took in a long breathe hoping to calm down his fast heartbeats.
"How are we going to get out of here?" Luo Jin finally restrained his thoughts and asked carefully in a low voice so that he would not alert the thing, whatever it was.
Yu Xingyun believed that they were moving corpses but Luo Jin wasn't too entangled in thinking about their species.
"I don't know" Yu Xingyun said gravely, his young face tense and serious. He was also helpless at the moment.
It would be great if there were only one or two corpses outside, they could easily solve it but the problem was that there was a whole bunch of them.
They were even afraid of moving slightly, scared that it would attract their attention.
"Qi Yi is alone." Yu Xingyun said worriedly. He couldn't help but worry about the small child in that chaos.
They finally realized what the message was about but it was already too late. They were stuck inside a janitor's closet and they had no way to rescue others when they were trapped.
"Brother warned us but it was useless. I should have interpreted it in a better way." You Xingyun whispered, downcast.
Luo Jin gritted his teeth when he remembered the damned message. It would be just fine even if that person just said a few words about the situation instead of sending that puzzling picture.
"Let's worry about that after we get out of here" He tried to console him. It was meaningless to worry about other things if they couldn't get out of there.
"And don't think about that quizzical message right now. It's more useless to think about it right now" Luo Jin comforted him and instead advised him to think about the way to get out of there so that they could look for the child.
"Are we going to just wait here for someone to save us?"
Both of them were speechless and they both realized that there was no one to save them.
They couldn't stay there for too long. They have to get the child and meet up with Li.
"Let's think about something" Yu Xingyun frowned and tried to think of a way to get out of there safely.
Luo Jin agreed and looked outside the closet from the thin space between the doors. "They move very slowly. Maybe we can outrun them?"
"But they are in large numbers, it's too risky." Yu Xingyun stated vetoing against his idea.
Luo Jin pursed his lips and appeared depressed. Yu Xingyun hesitated to say something looking at the sullen face but the glum face immediately brightened when he thought about another idea "I will distract them and you can quickly rescue the child at that moment."
Yu Xingyun said nothing but stared at the excited face intensely. His face darkened and his face became rigid because of his repressed anger.
Luo Jin was too excited to notice the displeased glare that was peering at him. He thought that the idea was one of the most feasible ideas he had ever thought of. He said more excitedly "They move slowly so it would be too late for them to go after you and you can get way smoothly."
"It's a perfect idea."
Yu Xingyun suddenly covered the mouth that was talking lots of nonsense and yanked his body against him tightly. He refused to let go of his hand ignoring the indignant look sent his way.
Luo Jin grumbled against his hand and struggled to move the evil hand but he couldn't move much in that narrow space.
"Shut up." Yu Xingyun was irked by his constant grumble and shot him an annoying glare that finally shut him up.
