They slowly walked inside the classroom. Their wary eyes roamed around the room preparing for anything unexpected.
They clearly felt that the classroom looked very wrong the moment they entered.
The room was fairly clean without any damage they expected and the only mess was the scattered desks and benches but that didn't feel alarming as the children usually pushed it around while playing.
"What happened here?" Feng Jing questioned most to himself than others. He wondered where all of the children suddenly disappeared.
"It doesn't look like anything major happened here." Luo Jin answered as he scratched his head in confusion. It even looked as if no zombies were there beside them in the classroom.
"That makes it more suspicious." Yu Xingyun said out his thought almost in wonder. It was a mystery how the classroom was free from zombies presence.
"I didn't expect that I would ever want to see the zombies so bad." Feng Jing smiled in amusement as if he was entertained with his thoughts.
Everyone agreed with him as it was too weird. They would rather see the zombies than not and be wary all the time.
"Are they going to ambush us?" Luo Jin asked scared as he inched closer to the body that was beside him.
"They are not that intelligent." Yu Xingyun slapped the back of his head at the ridiculous idea. He quietly inched away from the now closer Luo Jin when he noticed his brother's gaze. He still remembered the question he was suddenly asked, he feigned his ignorance and looked around ignoring the persistent gaze that was still not removed.
"Even if they do that doesn't make any change." Yan Linyuan said nonchalantly. They wouldn't be able to do anything to avoid whether it was an ambush or whatever it was, they just have to be more careful.
Li finally removed his gaze from his pretending brother. and nodded his head. His thoughts finally returned to the present situation from the unpleasantness about his brother's cautiousness and careful thoughts before him.
"Yeah. Be on your guard." Li was also fully aware of that and he didn't want these tender kids to lose their life so young. He warned them to be on guard all the time.
They finally realized that someone was quiet as a mouse. He didn't join their conversation from the beginning. They turned their head and they were suddenly speechless.
"Who do you think you are? Armadillo?" Feng Jing looked at the small ball below the desk that was facing toward the wall.
"He doesn't have that much of a thick skin." Luo Jin had a serious look on his face as he looked at his friend who was rolled into a small ball "I think he is praying to god."
They were even more speechless when they heard his last sentence.
"I think he wants to die." Yu Xingyun rolled his eyes and crouched down poking his back with a blank expression.
"What are you doing?" Li finally asked the question which was guessed by everybody. He was starting to get tired of being with these bunch of weirdos.
"I'm protecting myself." Li Chuan said still facing the wall keeping the same posture as if he wasn't going to move from there.
"This is how you protect yourself?" Yan Linyuan raised his brow and crouched down and started poking his back along with the other person who was currently enjoying poking very much.
"I can't see them, they can't see me. I can't hear them, they can't hear me. I am invisible." Li Chuan muttered as he buried his head on his knees to make himself look smaller.
"Does this kid has eighth-grade syndrome?" Li couldn't hold himself back and looked at his long term friends for an answer.
"Haha, I just found out." Feng Jing picked up his glasses and wiped the tears that came out from laughing too much.
"I have long ago suspected that he was delusional." Luo Jin didn't have any calms about insulting his friend. It looked as if he was happy that his guess was finally confirmed.
Before others could join in the fun and say something Li Chuan whispered in a sullen tone.
"I can't hear you guys insulting me at all. I am invisible. I am totally invisible."
"Li Chuan, Get out of there." Li sighed and called him to get out of there. He always knew that looking after other children would be a pain in the neck but he didn't think that it would be this bad.
"Where does this door leads to?" Yan Linyuan was looking at the door that was connected to the classroom. He knew that it was the only clue and hope left for them to find the little kid here.
Everyone's attention was removed from the little armadillo called Li Chuan and focused on the door which was near them.
"We have to check inside." Li furrowed his brows in worry. He didn't know what was in there and it could be something dangerous.
All of them walked forward and stopped before the door. They looked at each other and saw nervousness in other eyes.
Yan linyuan placed his hand on the doorknob which was almost wet with sweat. Before he could push the door open someone suddenly pulled his clothes from behind. He let go of his hand in fright and quickly turned his head back.
He saw Li Chuan's frightened face as soon as he turned around. His fear went out of the window when he noticed his twisted figure.
Li Chuan's body was fully stretched as he refused to come out. Half of his body was hanging solely being supported by him. In all, he looked hilarious.
"You didn't give me the time to prepare my heart." Li Chuan had a face that was ugly than crying. He was feeling a huge dilemma, he didn't know whether to follow them or to keep hiding.
"Weren't you invisible?" Feng Jing asked in hilarity. He didn't know that his friend was someone who was so much fun to get along with.
Li Chuan pursed his lips and ignored him. Whoever replies to that question is an idiot.
"Alright. Let's open the door." Li said with an annoyed expression. He was worried that they wouldn't return that day if they keeping wasting their time like this.
Others noticed his expression and finally became serious.
Yan Linyuan took a few steps back and stabilized the figure that was still stuck on him and left the way to the others to open the door as he clearly was being held back.
Luo Jin stepped forward and didn't hesitate to open the door. The moment the door opened they felt like they were in hell.
