Xero cocked his head at me, signalling me to drop back. Looking at the shield he had so easily caught a moment ago, I bowed out without even a second of frustration.
I sure as hell couldn't catch that. Not without my magic anyways.
Eliot had grabbed another shield, his face contorted in anger.
"How?! How could a scrawny piece of shit like you catch my shield!? I will kill you before my Master even so much as smells your existence!"
Over dramatic much? Damn... thought Lala was already taking care of that extra energy.
I heard a soft sigh from Xero. He tossed the shield to the side, readied his small dagger, and...
PTNNG
A shield had smashed deep into the floor where Xero had just been standing.
"RRRRAAAGH!!! WHY WHY WHY! DUE YOU BASTARD!"
I covered my eyes, my face burning with embarrassment for this massive man child. I mean, how could Lala even put up with him? He's so... God awful.
Ooh. Idea!
As I watched Xero getting closer to Eliot, I began to manipulate the air currents. Tapping a shield here, blowing some dust up there, even going so far as to fully slice open that toads ankle. Wait... he's alright?
---
Hmm? The air is quite friendly. He's bleeding, but...
"Syrus, he's been bonded to a Dark Lord. One with a very different set of rules compared to yours. His strength and defense are a testament to that."
I sighed softly. This is just a headache. He isn't even that hard to fight, just resilient as hell.
Many cuts and gashes lined Eliot as I flipped my dagger in my hand. Catching the hilt, I dashed forward forcing a line of fire to coat my blade.
SCHLING
Eliot finally dropped to his knees.
"AAAAAGH! M-MY HAND!"
Sure enough, his hand had been removed.
Taking a few steps forward, I kicked Eliot onto his back. Placing my foot directly against his throat, I glared at him.
"So, your Master. Tell me who, and where."
Soft gurgling echoed from beneath my foot. Blood spilled from between his lips. He was dead.
"Myria, he chewed through his own tongue. Looks like the shock from the pain killed him."
I looked up.
"Myria?"
On the far side of the room, I could see a sadistic smile on Lala's face. A small blade was against Myria's throat while another was halfway to cutting her shirt open.
"Myria! What the hell Lala!? I thought we were working together!"
Distract her and think. Pretend to be an idiot. Pretend you thought she was still on your side.
Before I could even make another move...
BOOM
A massive gust shredded Lala into ribbons.
"Don't ever try to show my bits to a man I barely know. Even if he is hot!"
Myria was yelling at the bloody, half dead Lala.
"Thanks?"
Spinning on her heel, Myria's face was crimson.
"You heard absolutely nothing!"
